I redesigned the Wix logo because they are lagging behind some competitors in how cool they are perceived to be. Wix has redesigned basically all elements of their business except for their logo. The last change they made was to remove an interesting character, which was the right move but the rest of the logo remained the same. So, I wanted to give them a logo design that would represent their bold modern new template designs, clean aesthetic and bring them into the the 25th century.

I would flip the W so the shorter end can be in the middle, and the dot can be placed inside the "box"

Or make the ‘X’ smaller. At the moment, with it looking uppercase and not physically connected to the other letters, it seems “off”. If it is made smaller, the ‘i’ in the middle becomes the highest point of the mark with the ‘w’ and ‘x’ both leading up to it (the arm of the ‘x’ points towards the iota of the ‘i’ even if they do not touch). Deffo love the design tho. We NEED Zimri on The Futur’s logo redesign. Also, have you heard of Webflow?
@@excellenceadigun9093 webflow's font is very similar to wix's font so if how web flow got away with that and also I like your design idea to have everything lead up to the 'I'.

The design is moving in the right direction, however I won't consider it done; the logo looks unbalanced because of the X which is not wide enough to even out the W, making the X stick out like a sore thumb.
It's a good concept but needs more work
The lack of 'align tools' usage is torturing me.

Also, the gap under the W that I guess is an “i” is SUPER distracting. I would come at them with something strongeeerrr

These little design challenges are always fun. Would like to see the "Wi" part without the dot above the "i", and instead slice it from the top of the final stroke of the "W". Might tighten up the lockup.
flip the W, make the dot if the I vertically align with the top of the X.
The video which was recommanded to Zimri is actually the video i watched before youtube recommended Zimri to me. Btw the channel of the french guy is great

Yeah that's actually how I discovered zimri's channel, balo just popped up in my recommandations and he credited zimri for the concept. It was a good move thanks TH-cam algorithm

You can definitely go further with this new design. The original logo had half rounded ends on the letter forms. Try softening them just a bit. This will further separate it from "the square space". Speaking of space, the space between the W and X could use a bit of work. There's too much white space there.

Zimri's logo makes me think of Sony Walkman's logo and Sony's VAIO logo - do Zimri work for Sony?

I think the 'x' stand out a bit too much. The gap at the bottom between 'i' and the 'x' is really large. I think would also be better if the 'x' was a bit wider, and the inside corners on the sides were more round.

Interesting idea! I think the new logo you created could be refined a bit more.
The new logo doesn’t quite read as wix to me, and I start to see it more as a squiggle than a “w” or just an “i” with movement. I personally think the previous logo looks more balanced and readable than the new logo you created.
However, I like the idea for the video and it would actually be interesting to see a part 2 where you consider more revisions, maybe even some style tiles, and a mock-up of the brand identity and how it would work in different applications to see how everything works together.

I think the x-height of the w and x need to be the same. I also think the negative space between the letters is weird. But I like the redesign!
