- I tried redesigning two famous ice cream companies. I started with cold stone then I moved to ben and jerry's. I had tons of fun with these and personally was mostly satisfied with my results! But i'd love to hear what you think about them in the comments and the polls!

The Redesign of Cold Stone is so.much better for so many reasons... their current logo is more of a Beer brand logo ... anyone agree ??

The new Cold Stones design looks so awesome, so creative and I like the modern feel and colors. I like the original Ben & Jerry’s design the most I just love the playfulness of it!

The cold stone design is great. However, you use baskin Robbins colors. Other than that I'd take a little more time shaping the scoops. Love the direction your taking it

Love the new cold stone redesign and how versatile it can be used. However the Ben and Jerry’s was missing something I think the original was more successful because they were working with the farm idea and the location of where it’s made. While the redesign logo was great the packaging felt hipstery and a little niche. I liked the bold very cherry but I think the background could have used more work. I don’t like the redesign because I don’t know if it would work as well with other flavors. The cold stone rebrand was much stronger and I agree with the creamery not being emphasized as much. If it came to the company wanting it bigger I would move the ice cream idea to the side to make a combination mark but it would suck 🤷🏻♂️ sometimes it’s out of a designers hands.

the B&J redesign loses the genius of the original. Ben and Jerry are huge Grateful Dead fans and this ice cream is homage to Jerry Garcia.
It’s the difference between design vs strategy. Original speaks to an overall strategy of the marketing which is completely lost in this refresh by Zimri.
I came to say exactly this haha, it’s good work but I was a little saddened to see that he wanted to get rid of Vermont which they’re super proud of and didn’t know that Cherry came from Jerry 🤷🏻♂️
THANK YOUUUUU there’s a tie dye shop in town (I live in Vermont) that also has ties to the band, even though they’re not from Vermont they’re pretty important to our state

Honestly, you impress me every time. When you started working on the Cold Stone one, I did not like it at all, but the second you brought in the colors, everything made sense. It really makes me reflect on how we judge things before they're truly finished.
I really like the Ben and Jerry’s new logo that you made, it’s super simple and modern. And I really like the cup however i am not a big fan of the colours on the gradient. Otherwise it’s sweet I love the idea of using the old picture!

I definitely think demonstrating logo versatility and modularity with the cold stone logo was a good thing here, helps sell the utility and benefit of the redesign.
I think that in general, mostly likely due to nostalgia, Cold Stone's current logo gives off a warm and familial vibe. It does seem a little outdated. I feel that if Cold Stone ever did do a redesign it would be something closer to the current feel of the logo. I get that the purpose of the redesign is to do something different so I do love both of the concepts!
No matter how much in bad humor I am, watching a Zimri video will ALWAYS cheer me up, he's just so genuine and friendly. Thank you for doing that, Zimri!!! Keep on making incredible content!

The Ben and Jerry's logo is good, and I like what you did with the packaging, but to be honest it just looks too... corporate?? Like it's a fun and playful brand, I would have thought you would have wanted to make it more of that but to me it just kinda looks like a very basic and kinda boring font 😅😅😅 sorry Zimri!!! This one just didn't vibe with me but love your thought process!❤❤❤💕

I actually really like these !! The ben and Jerry one I didn’t love until the very end and your point about it being equally ridiculous and cool I think sells it. They already have kooky packaging, this is just like modern kooky
I think the Cold Stone rebrand is awesome, it's very approachable and inviting and fun and it just has a really clean look. I think the Ben & Jerry's logo update is great, but every time I look at the brown you used I just think of Hershey's, I think I preferred the darker brown you used before. And the picture of Ben and Jerry on the packaging is very unnerving and uncomfortable imo, I could have done without that haha

ZIMRI!!!! good job :-) i think the cow is for sure playing Old MacDonald had a farm but its like a rendition because the cow used to be on the farm but narrowly escaped and is now at Ben & Jerry's. Also i heard Ben & Jerry actually hate eachother. sad stuff. Delicious ice cream!!!! Also, i LOVE your new concept for Cold Stone. I hope they see this and pay you millions. I appreciate the old Cold Stone logo for its density and heaviness of the type. For me it mimics the amount of topping options (oreos) i can put into my ice cream hehe. OKAY BYE FRIEND!

I’ve worked at ColdStone for over 3 years and I’m sick and tired of the outdated logo. Your redesign is so much better! It’s fun and it really pops. Love it

The Coldstone Redesign: It is a very modern and playful design. I would like this for a new brand. But it is not Cold Stone anymore. This New Design speaks to an different audience (target group). ReDesign needs a lot more strategy and work with the client. In my opion this is not a very professional Redesign approach as it could be done. Please don't get me wrong, Love your Channel in general and i Guess you just wanted a create a fun video to entertain us. That is also the reason why a lot of people like the Redesign better.
Ben & Jerry: They already have an awesome Logo and Packaging in my opinion. You need much more time to polish your Design concept, but still an almost impossible task.
Keep up your great work. Hopefully people see and know how much skill your craft needs. You are fast because you hone your skills a lot.

Hey Martin, I use photoshop for that and something called "mockups" just google "photoshop mockups" and you'll see a whole world of different products that you can auto place stuff in on photoshop and it will look real : D

Never heard of Cold Stone in the EU and with that logo thier products wouldn`t catch my eye in a store. Your redesign is amazing!
The Ben and Jerry's redesign gave me sports logo vibes and it just feels way to simple and not unique. I like the cold stone one the colors seemed a little too childish though ?
The cold stone logo you make is nice but the ice cream 'O' looks like an 'A' to me, so i read it "Cald Stane"

I feel like the old logos incorporate a lot more detail and give off a nostalgic, homey feel. While the remakes, not just in yours but all the ones I’ve seen, are overly simplistic as they attempt to give it a more modern vibe. Like the original cold stone logo gives me very “eating ice cream with grandpa” vibes while the remake, though it is very fun as well, gives me “the kid who was eating ice cream with his grandpa is now an 20+ year old millennial and visits the ice cream shop on his college campus” type vibe.

Nice work on the Cold Stone logo! Wayyy better The only thing I would change is to make a variation with the colors being white/cream and brown, like classic vanilla and chocolate

I've seen cold stone but i think its not popular in my country, your redesign is good but the ice cream scoop for the letter o makes me read it as cald stane :D, makes the o look like the letter a, could use a litte tweeking :) i just found your channel and its day 2 of binge watching. Loving it!

Thanks for sharing these! Taking on big brand redesigns is brave. Love what you did with Cold Stone. Ben & Jerry’s needed some more work. Font choice was fun but didn’t work on the brown box. Not sure about the gradient/photo pairing. Lost the charm and impact of the current branding. I think with a little more time you’d have gotten there.

Cold Stone was so much more fun and lively! Their current logo reminds me of old people and eating freezer burned ice cream on dry birthday cake in the back hall of a Chuck E Cheese.
