The agonizing pain of awkwardly having to sit in silence on the couch unable to leave because your body is frozen after being socially demoted to peasant
hoodie guy was so happy to finally be the life and soul of the party with his witty commentary. But it turns out there was no party, it was all just another huge autistic misunderstanding
Hood guy’s mom has confirmed that he indeed has autism. His case is bad enough that she wouldn’t let him move out of her house and pretty much has to babysit his daily routine/life.

This video should be used as a perfect case study in sociology classes. You can see the gears turning in Caveman’s head, over several minutes, as he desperately fights the urge to tell Chibi to fuck off, until finally losing the battle and saying it as politely as possible. Conversely, you can see the gears turning in Chibi’s head as he keeps trying to find ways to establish genuine chemistry with Caveman, miserably failing each and every single time. I think almost everyone has occupied one or both of these guys’ positions in at least one point in their life.

I tend to talk a lot and interrupt people in a voice chat, but boy howdy I’m happy I’m not THIS level of chatty (especially with strangers). It tends to come from a feeling of isolation and wanting validation though, so I can’t blame them tbh
The most underrated part of this whole thing is that look they give eachother after someone donated to have him talk more. You couldnt get anymore awkward than that.

It's not "simple conversation". It's just forced and feels off, extremely uncomfortable. Sometimes it's just better to shut the fuck up. If you speak like this, you're on the spectrum, and I can assure you that people feel uneasy around you.
I love how each donation made it worse and worse. Speedrunner: "I hate this guy." Green Hoodie: "This guy hates me." Twitch: "Here's $10 for green hoodie to do jumping jacks right in dude's face...."
"Wow! That's the Eiffel Tower! The tip sure is pointy!" "Yep." "Do you think Giants would use it as a toothpick, if they existed?" "Probably not." "Too pointy?" "Yep."
I can relate so much to Chibi. Being a socially awkward person, there have been situations where I thought I was killing it when interacting with people only to very suddenly realize I was actually being really annoying.
This happens to me all the time. I feel like just being myself, I’m going to attract true friends instead of people who like me for how I pretend to be.
Right when you think it can't get anyore awkward, Chibi decides to do the jumping jacks right when Caveman starts talking about his favorite part of the game.

I actually didn't even know they were complete strangers until I watched the runners follow-up video regarding this...random encounter. Weird, I've seen this video multiple times but never picked up on that line until today.
I always laugh at how Chibi spreads his legs and takes up 40% of the couch while everyone else is cramped and Caveman has to pull his arms in uncomfortably to play. Caveman deserves some credit for not being meaner to him honestly.
I agree. The fact there are people who try to act like Caveman was a big jerk or whatever is just baffling to me. They probably see so much of themselves in chibi that they feel the need to defend him despite him obviously being the full-force awkward-bringer here. Caveman was generally calmer and more patient than most people would have been.
@@BareBandSubscription Right? I feel bad for Chibi since he just seems socially deaf but Caveman must have practiced for this night for months, probably traveled far for this event and was waiting to show his skill for weeks just to have it all ruined because some random guy was insufferable the entire time
@@BareBandSubscriptionPeople are just content to be ran over and never voice their opinion I guess. And once you advocate anything for yourself the same crowd gets pissy like you're supposed to just let anyone do whatever they want near you.
Because people care more about the fear of looking like an idiot, or a jerk, a creep etc more than they care about complaining about something or speaking their mind
@@JapMelter I struggle to think anyone is so socially deaf they think it's ok to talk over someone's entire run and given it "was his birthday" it leads me to believe he wanted to make himself the main character.
That is one of the most awkward situations a person can be in. Doing something you're good at but having a stranger there annoying you to no end, and they don't get it.
if the dude had've given him more than 1 word responses, he probably wouldve calmed down a bit but he just gets more nervous and it gets worse they both suck
You guys really need to look up what autism means or have a loved one or family member on the spectrum. These guys are just simply socially inept humans. Just because someone is socially off doesn’t classify them as autistic. They’re just simply a couple dweebs who only stayed in & played video games & also who never had any real friends outside of discord or twitch and only know how to communicate in the weird way they typically do on those platforms.
I've clicked on this video like 5 different times wanting to watch it, and then i read the comments and i'm like, "actually nah i'm good, some other time." And again, I'll watch it some other time. Maybe
You could make a documentary about this moment. > The beginning introduction of two socially inept people > The honeymoon period where they seem to joke together > The new arrival starting to grate on the nerves of the leader > The leader deciding he needs to put the hammer down and show who’s in charge around here > Things remain awkwardly tense until rouge elements start using the new guy to annoy the leader indirectly A true rollercoaster of emotions.
Chibi: "My name is Tomba the mighty!!" Caveman: "He doesn't actually talk, though. He would never say that in any situation." That is the best example of anti-chemistry I've ever heard in a conversation.
The timing of the jumping jacks and the speedrunner reaching his favorite part has to be proof that some divine force exists and made this moment happen there's no way that was a coincidence
Seriously. He could have waited until after. The player should have been leading the conversation and them focusing on the play thru instead we get this cringe of a dude trying to make irrelevant small talk
Two small details that absolve Caveman of all cringe and make him a patient saint are that this happened extremely early in the morning and that Caveman directly pointed at two of the people he wanted to sit next to him on the couch and Chibi pushed one of them aside and took their place so he could hog the mic. I have no clue how Caveman tolerated some guy he didn't know barging into his personal space at the asscrack of dawn while yapping his ear off and interrupting him while he tried doing a charity performance. God-tier patience on that man.
I feel you on that, I’m a basement anti socialist, love my privacy. But I get attention and people want to hang etc. But I feel like im working hard to just keep a conversation going or make things aight. I hate being put in awkward situations, but don’t want to be rude and make people think I don’t want to spend time with them. How do you keep friends, when you yourself don’t really want them?
@@jonathancerda794 I'm in the same boat my guy. I'm tired of socially awkward moments that I'd rather not socialize and it feels like people think I don't wanna spend time with them specifically.
@@doomerantiboomer206 lol yea same shit! I just don’t believe in true friends so idk, i guess i kinda see everyone fake as fuck. But that’s me though. I’m that guy that puts on a smiling face but inside, I’m dying lol
I think there was too much that made his "be quiet" more painful, the fact that he kept it in until then, the head tilted towards him, and the wording he chose. If earlier on he had casually asked him to be quiet while focused on his game Green Hoodie likely wouldn't take it personally and understood the tone of the room.
Are you kidding me? The quality of the performance AT THAT TIME when the runner is trying to say something in the middle of the screen is what makes it perfect.
the joke is that Chibi said "someone else has a birthday today!" while CavemanDCJ said "what are the odds?" the joke here being that Chibi is nowhere near being the only person to have a birthday on that day, since he is one in billions to exist on that day, but somehow, was surprised at knowing someone else had a birthday on the same day he did, making CavemanDCJ reply sarcastically "what are the odds?"
TRIPLE AAA ya when I watch this my heart starts beating really fast and my arms and legs go numb. I also have very unusual breathing and I start to lose my hearing. And on top of that, I start stuttering my words and I start twitching. I begin to sweat furiously as my toes start curling up. I start to get dizzy and I begin to black out. Super cringe lol
Every second of this video is so perfect, that you could almost believe it was set up or planned. It's just beautiful, especially the weird clap he does before performing the jumping jacks.
It's pretty great that the woman reading the donations goes ahead and says whatever they write. She doesn't give a rat's ass how much more awkward it makes the situation.
Not the odds of one particular person having the same birthday, the odds of anybody else in the world having his same birthday, which with ¬7.5bill people /365 days = 20.5mill people * 100% = 2bill % chance. Although realistically some days of birth are alot more common than others so its by no means an accurate calculation but its still millions of times higher than 100% chance lol

There are a couple of times where he makes the speedrunner laugh, then he just milks it and completely ruins it

Caveman had so much restraint. His hand was wanting to backhand green hoodie so bad it was shaking.

> The honeymoon period where they seem to joke together
> The new arrival starting to grate on the nerves of the leader
> The leader deciding he needs to put the hammer down and show who’s in charge around here
> Things remain awkwardly tense until rouge elements start using the new guy to annoy the leader indirectly
A true rollercoaster of emotions.

Great moments happen to great people.... *WHEEZE*
Comedy fucking gold.
Seriously. He could have waited until after. The player should have been leading the conversation and them focusing on the play thru instead we get this cringe of a dude trying to make irrelevant small talk
2 very distinctly different types of autism clashing.
I love how he just grows more and more passive aggressive lmao ‘alright.’ ‘Good joke.’
He made a mistake by starting to banter with him mid way through encouraging him.
He was dropping hints, but Green Guy kept feeling a need to prove himself
I get how some people could be annoying but that guy was just really annoying and oblivious
He probably was that guy that never learnt how to act around people cause they would just follow him
Culminating in that brutal guy I don’t know line at the end
As someone with terrible social anxiety, I need to come back here once in a while just to show to myself that I am actually not doing that bad.

I think there was too much that made his "be quiet" more painful, the fact that he kept it in until then, the head tilted towards him, and the wording he chose. If earlier on he had casually asked him to be quiet while focused on his game Green Hoodie likely wouldn't take it personally and understood the tone of the room.
“Alright, so this is like the coolest part in the game in my opinion.”

I dont get it
me too in german translation that is not funny at all :/
the joke is that Chibi said "someone else has a birthday today!"
while CavemanDCJ said "what are the odds?"
the joke here being that Chibi is nowhere near being the only person to have a birthday on that day, since he is one in billions to exist on that day, but somehow, was surprised at knowing someone else had a birthday on the same day he did, making CavemanDCJ reply sarcastically "what are the odds?"
@@GooberDunk ahhhh thanks
Somehow the repetative music enhances the effect of him slowly becoming more annoyed till he everntually just blurts it out.
For me it sounds depressing and just underlines the monotone depressive social fail that Chibi experiences daily.

Robert Eli Those odds would be correct if there was only one other human on earth.
