Autism was so heavily stigmatized in popular culture, and the modders' response indicates that. They refused to acknowledge the question instead of just saying "no."
I think he was just making a joke there, but I also think he was trying to stir something up since he asked more than one pointed question. Why be so damn afraid to recognize autism is a thing and that a lot of its traits do actually thrive in these kinds of environments is beyond me.

You know, looking back on this, kids being goofy and awkward is to be expected. They're just kids. But the devs would occasionally get reasonable questions and they would get all awkward about it and not give a direct answer or act like the person asking a reasonable question is the exact same as the "dedotated wam" kid.
4:28 is a fairly clear question. The people on stage are more awkward than half the kids. Literally say “currently we’re not working on any improvements but that’s a very good question and you may see changes in the future.”
