I’m only about 25 min in but appreciate the talk! One thing I’d suggest is to not give up on IG but rather curate your content for who your target audience is. I used to think the same way but realized that business owners are regular people and scroll IG and if they aren’t, the chances are, that their marketing directors are for sure. So instead of sharing a bunch if bts stuff, I’ve started showcasing the work I do for clients and making reels that show I know what I’m talking about. Like “why you should or shouldn’t use your phone for your business content” or “the most important part of planning your business video” and I’ve gotten a great response from it from my target audience.

I used to be caught up in impressing my peers (which still is important) but when it comes to by business, I couldn’t care less if other filmmakers see my stuff. I just want potential clients to see it. You are in a slightly different place by also having a TH-cam channel gears towards us but I think that only gives you another audience to grow which is nice too. Reels has been really helpful on IG for reach
