I just discovered this guy recently, and can't stop listening to him. A close friendship has imploded, and somehow, listening to Alexi Murdoch is helping me get through it. What a wonderful voice, humble and sincere. You know that he's been through the wringer, as we say in the UK, and has beautifully expressed his pain through the music. Superb

After one year of playing the guitar, iam finally able to play this song iam so proud of myself i kept learning everydays till i finally got it down! Amazing song, alexi murdoch is a truly inspiration for me!
It took you a whole year to play I learned it in a day and the day after was able to sing and play,not bragging but it didn't take you that long did you spend a minute a day or something.
I am 63 and I stopped putting off learning how to properly play this-with my stumpy fingers riddled with arthritis. As I wrote this comment I just started playing guitar, and right at the beginning I stumbled across this song, back then I tried it and all those things those pull offs and so on, are really not easy in your first few weeks of playing guitar. So I made a pause with this song, and after 1 year of playing guitar in general and learning more and more things I was able to play this song in a few minutes that's what I meant you know. And for some people it's really hard to learn this song, especially when you get your first guitar and want to start of right away. Look man, now Iam at this stage where I only play jimi hendrix songs, with the sickest techniques and so on, and if would have seen my current stage of guitar back then I would have thought wow.. Wtf is he doing, especially my last year of playing guitar I had very big progress, a guitar player that plays well over 10 years once said to me you are playing very good for 4 years he offered me to play on a live gig and now look at me, starting of my music. Bit out of context but I always advice new players now, to learn a really really difficult song, for me It was this at first and then jimi hendrix and you learn so many things its insane years later you see yourself playing the same song but so slow and you think to yourself wow a lot of things have changed!

I've seen this guy in concert a couple times. One thing that he does share with Drake is a deep care and concern for the music. If he was just a scam artist trying to rip off someone else, I don't think he'd be so passionate about it all. He takes his time writing and crafting songs and in a live setting, he works hard to make sure his audiences get the best he has.

Hmmh...I didn't see God playing that guitar or singing. Think of all the time, work, and dedication that Alexi has spent practicing his craft - now multiply it by about a thousand.
