They have to be very fit and tough as they be working dangerously in small groups behind or in enemy lines, more helpless than guards men. They rely on their small section itself, no one can be slack as all section mates will suffer more workload. The slack one have explain to the section mates and lose face.
Their training is siao one, when they complete the course they would be very fit siao lang who can control their emotions to carry out very dangerous mission with limited man power.
By behind enemy lines you mean behind johore's airspace?
@@potassiumcyanide3857 Any country that is Singapore's enemy and after that country declared war first then the commandos will be activated to work behind enemy lines.
With current good foreign diplomacy and relationship with many countries. I don't think things will develop to a kind of bad stage that Singapore need to send the commandos to work behind enemy lines.

Sial ah bro. Let's be real lah. We go to war, they will drop us like fireflies. These commandos, adf, ndu will be deployed at the forefront to defend. Where got time to go to enemy lines. Our allies are US. We leave those kind of operations to US special forces like Rangers, Delta or Navy Seals. We confirm stay to defend cialat cialat.

Neighbours need to put into account that most of these guys are forced into serving and are still able to go out on top. It's an achievement in its own right that Singapore is able to procure 2 living generations of civilian conscripts into fully operational elite airborne infantry every 6 months.

@UCjbm58OhYNsWRVV_sOKJSJQ what u said i can mostly agree, but from my pov the negative mentality applies mostly to the saikang vocations. u gotta see and ask them for urself. the ones given such "Ups" vocations which is perceived as honourable vocations or the vocations they choose/they like, they end up being proud of it & enjoy NS. They werent forced to be commandos to begin with, they indicate their interest. Can easily OOT if they want to but they chose to go thru it. Ofc common sense most enter NS with a negative mentality, but those who end up as commandos, guardsman, armour crew, air crew, infantrymen end up loving their NS while what u said apply to mostly the saikang vocations such as admin & supply, who obviously hate their work n resort to malingering. Its a whole different story when u are being given an honourable role VS a role thats often being looked down upon. U make me guardsmen confirm i give my all n enjoy my NS coz at least can be proud of something. U make me storemen be prepared for 2 day MC evry week plus me spending most of my time hating NS.

Only spore sof can say they are the real deal of singapore. The commandos nsf is nothing. As long you are fit,its normal. Anyone that run 5-10km everyday and do 50 pushup/ 10 chinups daily can make the training. The nsf commando selection is selected by unknown civilians in manpower who dont know shit about military so there are many flaws in the system too. Even me at 36 can still pass nsf commando training..lol
