Romance Dawn is essentially the "first draft" of One Piece. It's the basic ideas laid out in a short story. Coincidentally its the name of the first volume. Also, I'm glad you are reading the manga! The anime is okay, but I know if you watched it you'd watched it in dub lmao. Luffy's voice in dub aint it chief, and the dub aint even caught up to the sub all the way. Glad you are starting this series!
I feel like the dub fits luffy perfectly. I like how the voice is raspey and has a loud tone to it. Luffy in general is a hyper kid so he does stupid stuff lol. But no hate to your opinion im just stating mine

They stopped making the dub in like Episode 540 or something
@@Kjthewizard The dub voice ruins all the important moments that sound way better in the sub. Watch a comparison and you can tell
@@sundaysyndrome_ I disagree but if sub is your preference then that’s awesome. Sub is still goated I just don’t wanna read subtitles when I’m seeing important shi going down in the show
"I buy manga to support the industry that I love" I felt that 🙏🏼 same reason I do it too and even though I read digitally, I still collect mangas.

i love one piece it’s my favorite anime and has been for over a year! i don’t know why i’m so in love with it but it’s quite honestly such an amazing anime/manga

I finally started collecting one piece and this really helped me understand what to expect from the box sets, it’s coming in tomorrow I’m so excited!
My Box Set 1 just came in and I wanted to enjoy opening it with someone else. (I have read every chapter of the series and have been caught up for well over a year, but finally getting to own the physical copies is something else🤟)

Watching your videos has helped me slowly work my way back into manga collecting this year with the start of Demon Slayer! I'm thinking of picking up Black Clover once I finish a few projects of mine. I started out with the Tokyopop series of Digimon and the older Shaman King.
Just bought all 4 box sets! Now to just buy a bookshelf

One Piece is surprisingly an easy watch, least imo. They are fillers but they are nowhere near as bad as Naruto’s and there’s not as many as you’d think they are either tbh. And there’s been very few parts that feel like they’re dragging out and such, again just my opinion. That being said the subbed is definitely the way to go, the dubbed is a little hard to watch cause of Luffy’s voice.
In the fillers you feel like you are hang out with the straw hats I love it

@@fbrz8619 I highly disagree personally lol some of the fillers are nice but some of them are sooo wild and weird and that’s not enjoyable like the iron man Naruto filler which was two episodes if I recall, and I also don’t like when they rewrite cannon via filler like when lady Tsunade read Jiraiya’s last book and it made Naruto beat all of the akatsuki members. At the time I enjoyed it but years later and it makes kinda hard to remember what’s cannon and what’s filler.

One piece box set 1 and 3 are unavailable on book depository now. A lot of manga box set are unavailable now. I hope they make more. It took us so long to have DB series back, only for others to run out 😭

Same lol (kinda). I started with the 22nd omnibus and then switched to singles around volume 86. I plan on collecting the remaining singles, but collecting the 1st 85 will be annoying considering I have like 20 already 😭 I like the spines
Man finally someone said it! Used to think I’m the only one who thinks the omnibus manga editions are pretty boring and the covers are horrible. There’s nothing like the cover artworks of the single volumes!

Hey I’ve become a big fan of one piece and I’ve even been binge watching on Funimation but once I got to a certain episode “The Broken Couple! Sanji and Pudding Enter!” the only option was sub. Did they stop making One Piece dub or is there somewhere I can find or even buy the rest of one piece in all dub?

Hey I'm a somewhat new One Piece fan. I started during covid and caught up around August 2020, and have been watching weekly ever since. I've also caught up to the manga. I want to start my OP manga collection. How do y'all rate the box set? I want to know if the volumes are in black and white as I prefer to read in black and white (from the little manga I do read). I've also heard of some wonky translations like "Zolo" instead of "Zoro". If anyone could enlighten me that would be very helpful!
Pretty much all mangas are black and white. Some have a few colored pages throughout but those are specific versions of manga. The box set is probably the best way to collect one piece. I’ve never seen the translation error for Zoro but I highly doubt it’s consistent. Box sets are the best way to collect manga in general tbh

Best place is rightstuf because the delivery is amazing and makes sure ur manga is protected but if it does get damaged u can get another one if you hand in the damaged one. Rightstuf also sells single volumes for about 2 dollars cheaper than amazon most of the time and is a very good website.( Not sponsored by rightstuf btw I just love the website)
