Shiseido sheer and perfect compact foundation works perfectly for my horribly dry skin (I have atopic dermatitis I've never been able to treat, sadly). None of the liquid ones have worked, but this powder one does, somehow. Look it up.
I wish you would have zoomed-in to see your skin up close. I battle with dry skin patches and it's frustrating when you apply makeup and think it looks good, only to find that way up close it looks dry or cracked :(

I love the look of the Too Faced Peach perfect mixed with Tarte Rainforest of the Sea foundation. Another combo that works well for me is Elf Acne fighting foundation and Tarte Amazonian Clay Foundation. I'm still working on combos but these are my faves so far. I'm also big into cruelty free which makes it a challenge finding a good fit!
I used to wear the makeup forever hd foundation stick but it was too dry for me, I still got dry patches. 😕 now I use the la girl hd foundation and it’s really really dewy. It’s buildable and very affordable so it’s worth a try

They help sooo much, I recommend rosehip oil and vitamin e oil 4. Salves, you can the baby one from doctor bronners, or even use Neosporin! 5. Face mist 6. Carry a little thing of oil around with you and tap it on your dry patches every 5-7 hours hope this helps! Skincare is the base for amazing makeup!

Suzzi Kafer Yes, rosehip oil is amazing! Since I started Accutane my face has become so flaky and dry even my moisturiser stopped doing its job. Then I started adding a little bit of rosehip oil to the moisturiser and bam! My skin feels so much better.
I love the rosehip oil too, but I’ve found an oil combo that works even better for my super dry, sensitive, and acne prone skin. Desert Essence has an oil that is a mix of rosehip, jojoba, and marula oils. My skin is so much more hydrated, my scars are fading, and I have far fewer break outs. I get it on Amazon for $9.
@@pugmom3368 i mix my own rosehip jojoba and shea with frankinsensce oil..frankinsense oil smells like burnt rubber though 😯. I use refined shea butter on its own as a base to prime makeup now as my skin been so winter dry n found this works for me x

I don't know how you feel about cream contouring but it's a great option for super dry skin! I do it under my foundation and it looks so natural and beautiful and let's my dry skin stay dewy and luminous all over without having to powder at all!☺️
I've been wanting to get into that. I know elf has a contour palette that might be good (idk it's too light for me). I don't like using so much powder, cream looks so much more natural.

Yay! I’ve been waiting for the dry skin videos forever!!!! My personal faves are: 1. Use an oil then a moisturiser on top and then put foundation on (I like the oils by The Ordinary) 2. Bobbi Brown’s Skin Foundation is perfect on dry skin. Looks flawless and comes in a good shade selection 3. I swear by MAC’s Studio Fix powder. It’s the only powder that doesn’t make me look crepey or dry. Very comfortable to wear. I wear a bit on my chin and under eyes.
I've had awfully dry skin and live in such a dry place, I've tried so many different things to help it and so far I haven't found anything that does help! And I'm definitely gonna try this with makeup. So happy you made this video!

I have very dry skin, and the prep before makeup has always been normal for me. But it is a routine, for sure! Try the Cetaphil moisturizer for dry/extra dry skin. It is my holy grail.

I have the Sahara for my skin, and I use the tub of CeraVe moisturizer. It's meant for body and can be used on face. It helps calm all the flakey stuff down! I don't know how to add a picture, but it is a blue and white tub.

Hell. 😂😂 lmfao my face was tight, cracked and peeling last week. Nothing I did made it better. Besides aquaphor but it still ended up dry 7 hrs later. Plus very acne prone.

I purchased the Dermablend and Cyo foundations, Mixed them..and used Cerave lotion and cleanser before applying..OMG!! I am in love with all 4 products!!! TY so much for the tips!!! I started using Differin about 4 weeks ago and my once oily skin is NOT responding to my normal foundation now that my skin is more dry. This makeup routine TOTALLY saved me from having patchy, separated foundation at the end of the day. Loved your videos for oily skin now REALLY appreciating your accurate videos as my skin dries out.
See, I have both worlds (during some hormonal times my skin is oily, sometimes it's dry), so having this is a GODSEND. I can alternate between this and my usual oily skin routine that works when it's oily. I'm so happy to see this

Rosa Johnson The proglow foundation by loreal doesnt do anything good for my dry skin. It emphasizes my dry skin and I apply with a beauty blender any tips because I cant even wear it. I also bought the proglow concealer and it emphasizes mt texture as well sadly.
Hmm, I haven't tried the concealer so I can't say anything about that. But I never set my face with powder and I sometimes will mix in a serum to it when my skin is extra dehydrated and crusty, also LOTS of the Pixi Rose Water/Green Tea mist before, during and after foundation. I know the struggle so I hope this helps!

Right now I use the Maybelline Fit Me Dewy & Smooth...it was beautiful the first time I wore it...like I legit wanted to cry because my skin had never looked so good...but after that, it’s been hit or miss... Yay welcome to the dry side! The biggest issue i have with my dry skin is finding a foundation that won't look cakey, but also has good coverage. The best I've found so far is the ready set gorgeous foundation.

haydrizzle try the laura gellar spackle moisturizing primer...its an unscented version of the 2faced hangover....had same issue breaking out,love spackle primer
Wish all the different Laura Gellar Spackle primers didn't have paraben is them. I haven't tried my travel size one yet, but because it's the one main ingredient I'm trying to avoid, it'll work great. When it's used up between my other ones, I won't be buying it. I just know that stuff gathers up in our body tissue. Prob lots of crap does.
I have oily/combo skin but still gonna watch your videos because you're so honest in them. So glad your skin is getting better for you! It looks great. I finally found a routine and prescription that works for me and it does wonders for my self-confidence! My acne scars are slowly fading

I have dry skin but I can’t imagine not setting my whole face with powder especially with the more dewy foundations that don’t dry down fully. If I had to blow my nose or had an itch on my forehead the foundation would just smear around. I couldn’t handle that. Even using that powder that she used on her cheeks to set my whole face isn’t going to look drying and at least I’ll know I’m mostly set (it isn’t going to totally set down the foundation like a loose powder)
I use L’Oreal pro glow in the lightest shade as my favorite mixer. It just works well to lighten and add some glow to any drying foundations. Lately, I’ve been adding a few drops to the Peach Perfect comfort matte foundation and love it!
I've always had dry skin but love watching your videos as you're a pale princess just like me and you influence my purchases! I'm glad the Accutane is working for you and there is now a video for dry skin gals! Please upload the dry skin foundations! The ones that seem to work well for me are: Too Faced Peach Perfect, Dermacol and the Australis Don't Sweat It. If you want to try something new, I'd recommend those! 💕

I have dry skin and both born this way and Revlon colorstay performed the same way on my skin, however the first one looks soooo gorgeous the first 4 hours after you apply it. I did not buy it because they do not sell the shade snow here in portugal and the shade porcelain was too dark for me.
Claudia I’m going to be the odd one out here and say that when my skin is really dry, it just clings to every dry patch. When my skin is mildly dry, it looks beautiful though. And the shade match is the best I have ever found

I have very dry skin, and the prep before makeup has always been normal for me. But it is a routine, for sure! Try the Cetaphil moisturizer for dry/extra dry skin. It is my holy grail.

I have the Sahara for my skin, and I use the tub of CeraVe moisturizer. It's meant for body and can be used on face. It helps calm all the flakey stuff down! I don't know how to add a picture, but it is a blue and white tub.
I Love Cliniques moisture surge, my skin drinks that shit up and it doesn't get oily.

I purchased the Dermablend and Cyo foundations, Mixed them..and used Cerave lotion and cleanser before applying..OMG!! I am in love with all 4 products!!! TY so much for the tips!!! I started using Differin about 4 weeks ago and my once oily skin is NOT responding to my normal foundation now that my skin is more dry. This makeup routine TOTALLY saved me from having patchy, separated foundation at the end of the day. Loved your videos for oily skin now REALLY appreciating your accurate videos as my skin dries out.

See, I have both worlds (during some hormonal times my skin is oily, sometimes it's dry), so having this is a GODSEND. I can alternate between this and my usual oily skin routine that works when it's oily. I'm so happy to see this

insert creative name here I used the lightest color and mix it with more moisturizer, I’m just as pale as her sadly. I wish they did have a better shade range though!
insert creative name here Fair isn’t horribly dark. We have all seen her rock worse colored foundations and she usually mixes anyway. 😀
Ashley Nicole I have super dry skin and I absolutely love that cc+ cream!!! However, it doesn’t stay on at all, even when I set it I find that it never lasts all day😭😭

Have you tried the Smashbox primerizer? It's my holy grail for my dry and flaky skin! Also L'Oréal pro-glow is the only foundation that I swear works for me so I would love your recommendations! ☺️
Rosa Johnson The proglow foundation by loreal doesnt do anything good for my dry skin. It emphasizes my dry skin and I apply with a beauty blender any tips because I cant even wear it. I also bought the proglow concealer and it emphasizes mt texture as well sadly.
Hmm, I haven't tried the concealer so I can't say anything about that. But I never set my face with powder and I sometimes will mix in a serum to it when my skin is extra dehydrated and crusty, also LOTS of the Pixi Rose Water/Green Tea mist before, during and after foundation. I know the struggle so I hope this helps!
Rosa Johnson girl thanks so much for replying!! I am currently using Mario Badescu rosewater but I don't think it's effective , Also i use a dewy setting spray as dont use powder.. Im gonna have to try out Pixis products I keep hearing good things thanks again!!

Right now I use the Maybelline Fit Me Dewy & Smooth...it was beautiful the first time I wore it...like I legit wanted to cry because my skin had never looked so good...but after that, it’s been hit or miss... Yay welcome to the dry side! The biggest issue i have with my dry skin is finding a foundation that won't look cakey, but also has good coverage. The best I've found so far is the ready set gorgeous foundation.

haydrizzle try the laura gellar spackle moisturizing primer...its an unscented version of the 2faced hangover....had same issue breaking out,love spackle primer

Wish all the different Laura Gellar Spackle primers didn't have paraben is them. I haven't tried my travel size one yet, but because it's the one main ingredient I'm trying to avoid, it'll work great. When it's used up between my other ones, I won't be buying it. I just know that stuff gathers up in our body tissue. Prob lots of crap does.
I have oily/combo skin but still gonna watch your videos because you're so honest in them. So glad your skin is getting better for you! It looks great. I finally found a routine and prescription that works for me and it does wonders for my self-confidence! My acne scars are slowly fading

I have dry skin but I can’t imagine not setting my whole face with powder especially with the more dewy foundations that don’t dry down fully. If I had to blow my nose or had an itch on my forehead the foundation would just smear around. I couldn’t handle that. Even using that powder that she used on her cheeks to set my whole face isn’t going to look drying and at least I’ll know I’m mostly set (it isn’t going to totally set down the foundation like a loose powder)
I use L’Oreal pro glow in the lightest shade as my favorite mixer. It just works well to lighten and add some glow to any drying foundations. Lately, I’ve been adding a few drops to the Peach Perfect comfort matte foundation and love it!

I've always had dry skin but love watching your videos as you're a pale princess just like me and you influence my purchases! I'm glad the Accutane is working for you and there is now a video for dry skin gals! Please upload the dry skin foundations! The ones that seem to work well for me are: Too Faced Peach Perfect, Dermacol and the Australis Don't Sweat It. If you want to try something new, I'd recommend those! 💕

I have dry skin and both born this way and Revlon colorstay performed the same way on my skin, however the first one looks soooo gorgeous the first 4 hours after you apply it. I did not buy it because they do not sell the shade snow here in portugal and the shade porcelain was too dark for me.
Claudia I’m going to be the odd one out here and say that when my skin is really dry, it just clings to every dry patch. When my skin is mildly dry, it looks beautiful though. And the shade match is the best I have ever found

I’d love to hear your thoughts on handling scarring/hyperpigmentation now that your skin is dry; it’s so hard to find a product that won’t make my dryness worse and with my fair skin I feel like my hyperpigmentation is always so obvious.
