Thanks for all of these tips and tricks! #baerrito 🌯
Stephanie Hoskins ME TOO!! I love Taylor and all her tips and ticks! I’m 36 and have dry skin and super dry under eyes! If I do the concealer triangle and major baking I look so cakey and I feel like dry leather lol 😂
Me too I'll be 40 in oct and the things that used to work no longer do. I can't bake anything but a cake lol when I do it looks fucktastic I never looked so old in my life I crease and crack so bad under eye and on my smile lines. I also have a hard time finding foundation sometimes I hate leaving home lol. Has anybody used the superstay powder and it went ashy or gray on you and got oily?
Same here. My undereyes would look like a dry crepey mess AND still crease so bad. I don’t even set concealers anymore. I use a small amount and tap it in with my fingers while looking up. Still don’t have a concealer that I love there, but maybelline age rewind has been the best so far.

I ordered your Sigma brush set and the F80 changed my makeup life! It applies my foundation just as smoothly as a sponge, but doesn’t take away the coverage. I love that brush so much and will never be without it again. 😍
I just wanted to say your skin with that moisturiser/spf looks unbelievable! You look so gorgeous! The blue eyes and the black hair with your naturally blushed cheeks is perfection!! 💕

But your actually showing your true routine and technics I wish more ppl could be genuine thank you so much . Thanks to you, I played with different primers and foundations and was able to find a medium coverage foundation that doesn’t separate and stays looking good all day! Thanks!
Thank you for this! My skin is the same. Textured and dry but normal in certain areas. I started to take some of your tips and the targeting powdering has helped me immensely. So thank you!
As soon as I saw your dry makeup sponge trick, I ran into the bathroom to try it and OMG, it makes a HUGE difference. I too have textured skin as a result of years and years of acne. Applying foundation has always been difficult because of the small pitted scars. Foundation either pools in the scars, or else it skips over the scars, making them look like polka dots. This totally solves the problem. BTW I tried it with a variety of sponges, incl. Real Techniques, L'oreal, and Eco Tools, and they all seem to work pretty well.

There is nothing better and more affordable than that and the new Loreal True match is the same formula as the Age Rewind if you find a better shade in that line.
I really appreciate the baseline shot in natural lighting. I am just so amazed to see how wonderful your skin looks! My biggest problem is my skin reacts negatively to so many products that I can’t seem to find something that won’t destroy my face. Thanks for your tips and your awesome!
I have tried this combo too, and really like it. I also mix the Wet n Wild Cushion foundation with the Loreal Freshwear. I actually go in with the WnW first, then a layer of Freshwear on top.
Shai Offill I love both of them, I would mix them but you can’t really mix a cushion with a regular foundation so I just layer them, and love the way it looks on my skin! Let me know if u try it and how u like it.

I’ve been doing it since 2016, but thought so many people think it’s cakey too. If I go overboard, yes it does get a bit cakey, but it really does help when you use the right powder/amount/technique. Love that you use powder foundation in that way too!

Thank you!! I have dry skin and let’s me honest, I’m getting older. The heavy baking looks horrible on me and I’ve started following you method of targeted powdering. Huge difference!!!

I cannot bake to save my life. I used to watch Laura lee religiously and she’d bake perfectly and I kept trying and it never worked until I found your channel and your tips for tricky skin. It has helped me so much and my skin looks 1000x’s better than it did before. Thank you so much for helping us who don’t have that porcelain perfect skin.❤️❤️
This is so incredible. As someone who gas extremely dry, scarred and textured skin I always see regular beauty gurus do their base makeup a certain way and I always get so upset that it never looks good on me. Your videos remind me I'm not alone and give me so many helpful tips 💙
I find that with setting spray even though it looks great as soon as I apply it, it actually makes my foundation break up WAY faster throughout the day. Even for a "long lasting" foundation it breaks up in less than 8 hours (my work day). If I don't spray it lasts way better.
I have very problematic skin, pitted scars, combo skin, texture, wrinkles (i am 30 and thery are already here, a lot of little wrinkles), pale skin, redness... Foundation does not stay, gets oily soon, pores seem more visible... I tried some foundations over the last 10 years, nothing lasts all day... My skin is the best during pregnancy and winter... Last month a makeup artist reccomended Bobbi Brown long wear skin foundation... I was skeptical... She applied it to my skin... It is my holy grail now. I almost cried of joy that I found something that is the perfect shade, covers my redness, builts up to full coverage beautifully, is light, lasts all day, looks great... It is amazing!
I am SO READY for the foundcealer review because it took me 4 different combos between primers and application to get it to work for me and I'm still not like 'in love' with it!!!
Baking is the worst on me!! Even setting my under eyes I look 80 years old. I would have rather have a little creasing than look like an old scaly alligator 🐊 I love all your recommendations.❤️
Andrea Fries do you not set your under eyes ?! I have the same issue I look like a friggan hot mess when I set my concealer but I don’t know what else to do!!! 😩
My go-to powder foundation and brush combo is Laura Geller Baked Balance and Brighten applied with the elf total face brush. Adds coverage and doesn't lift up my foundation.
You are SO beautiful! And your makeup did look fanTASTIC at the meetup, I was so excited to meet you everything I wanted to tell you flew out the window 😂
Cheers to the most relatable, honest, most humblest beauty guru on TH-cam 🙌 🧡 .. A lot of youtubers have flawless skin and good for them but it makes my heart feel so happy when I see that there are others who's skin isn't great with powders or can't get along with techniques most people do.... thanks for being so real and making me feel less upset because my skin is all over the place!
I don’t think she’s a fan of the Mac Studio Fix foundation but it just depends on the person with that one. I have super dry skin and that’s my holy grail foundation. It’s matte but I prefer a matte finish when it comes to my foundation even though I’m dry
I always use a powder foundation to set my makeup. It can really just smooth over any blotchy looking areas and like you said, it doesn't lift the foundation underneath. I personally love the Pixi pressed powder foundation it is wonderful for this!
I watch you constantly and I love the honest reviews, I just purchased a Korean moist and firm bb cream, I've tried soooo many different foundations and no lie, this one is the most perfect! Has plenty of coverage, looks like skin, not foundation skin looking but actually looks like skin and since alot of people watch u, i wanted to see u review it to make more women aware! I had acne bad and its recently cleared up with a lot of scars and one layer of it tones it down enough for me to not have a care to go out every single day without a full face and I am a full face everyday girl! It has few reviews but all good is the only reason I purchased it.
Your tips are great for real life and you’re so relatable! I love to see the WHY when explaining what works and what doesn’t. I’d love to see this same video but with a light coverage/no makeup makeup version. It would be amazing to include touch up tips for both high coverage and light coverage days... I love your videos as I’m also a pale skin girl! Thank you for all your hard work. ❤️🌯
I had similar issues with loose powder making me look cakey and settled into the under eyes wrinkles. Wasn’t a good look! You are the first and probably only TH-camr that recommended using a pressed powder and it changed my whole makeup game. 🙌🏻 So thank you so much for that!!
I legit do the same thing! I click on her video and then immediately hit the like button!! I feel some type of way about the unlikes!! I'm like HOW!? Who are you people that go around unlocking videos! Soooo not cool!! :(
@@sandisotolopez8691 exactly sis, I try to spread love and positivity because that's what I want to come back to me!! Some people still have to learn that part of life I guess! And WHO in their right mind would thumbs down our Taylor! She is everything plus more to us! 🤗😘
Ahh love this, I've watched it 4 times just to be sure I haven't missed anything 😊 this is the answer to most of the issue's I've been having with my base, I wonder how many of us have thrown out foundation that would've worked with these techniques ? Watched Tati/Scott Barnes video and picked up a great tip for adding glow, I now use Bioderma moisturising anti-uv just as a setting spray, perfect glow 😍😘
I have like very dry skin I feel like I’ve tried everything and even using a really dewy foundation and hydrating primers and setting sprays foundation starts looking dry on me in about 10 minutes . I’m definitely going to be trying a lot of these and hopefully something will work for me thanks girl ! ❤️
You are the reason i use targeted powder in my t zone not baking under my eye but setting with a light powder and leaving my cheeks. Obviously we have different skin, but i used to powder the litteral shit out of my whole face I never thought to do it differently until you. It has made such a difference thank you! You are awesome!!!
Watched it twice since you posted it, I just love you so much 😭 And Tayloooorrrr, your skin looks AMAZING. So glossy and perfect and just ugh gorgeous. I hope you do more meet ups so I can finally meet you soon ❤️
🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 thank you so much for this video!!! My skin is so incredibly dry and I struggle with eczema, especially on my face and can never find any videos or tips for dry, rough patches. It seems like the only videos are for oily skin and I am so grateful for these tips and tricks!! Thank you!!💕
Thank you for this video! My skin is super finicky and annoying too so I appreciate that you understand that and try to help those of us who struggle with it too. ❤🌯❤🌯❤🌯❤🌯❤
@44GlenCoCo same. If I use a normal primer (MAC) my makeup sits on my skin 👎 but I need to cover pores. Oh the pain - stuff is breaking me out too (Becca First Light primer).
Because of you I learned not to use a crap ton of powder and use it in areas I need it which for me is my t zone. I never did the baking thing but a few times and it just never worked for me. I guess I have oily to normal skin but I do get those hormonal break outs using powder only on my t zone has made my makeup look so so much better thank you!!
Girl! You are my new addiction! I feel like you're one of the most 'real' TH-cam gurus out there. I too have very finicky skin, with lots of texture, break outs, scarring etc. And you are abreath of fresh air for me. Anyway, your tips! Wow. So simple, but they do work wonders. Switching it up, trying to prime different areas of your face, using the setting spray, it all really does make a huge difference. Thank you!!!
Confession: I love listening to you and even if I don't have time to watch your vids closely, I just play them and listen to you while I do other things. You often have a lot of good tidbits if information to say and I feel like I leave the video knowing a lot more than when I started even if I never even looked at the screen itself 😂 your voice is also so calm and relaxing that it makes time fly by so fast while I do whatever chores I may be doing whike I listen
For oily skin these techniques can work too... I am oily and I prefer the pressed powders for setting when I do wear a full face of makeup. Loose setting powders tend to not allow foundations to last on me/ they make me look excessively dry
Please do a foundation Friday with the clinique even better refresh foundation!! It's a newer version of the even better. I'll keep asking every Friday in hopes it happens 🤞🏼🤞🏼
I really really enjoyed you! I have super dry skin and haven’t found a foundation that I really love yet. Most influencers have normal or oily skin- not always helpful.
I went from having very oily skin to very dry skin also (happened with age for me, once I hit my late 20’s my skin was like nope we’re dry now lol) so it’s been a big learning process for me to switch up products I’ve used forever so I really appreciate your tips as well as the perspective of having both skin types before!
I have a super dry under eye but it creases if I do not powder it and looks crusty when I do so what would you recommend? I moisturize before makeup and have tried setting spray and different powders/concealers.
How long do you wait before you powder the concealer under your eyes? I always apply concealer and let it sit. I’ll put on bronzer, blush, and highlight, then I’ll sort of pat out the creases under my eyes and then powder. I also feel like when I apply powder under my eyes, if I use a damp sponge with a small amount of powder, it sets it without it being super dry
I struggle with powders exactly the way you do and I have similar skin to yours! I thought I was the only one before finding your channel! I only purchase products that you have already reviewed and recommend because I've had such good luck with your recommendations in the past. Thank you for all that you do.
I love CYO for a more natural look, and I love the NYX Can't Stop Won't Stop. I have oily skin and I love them both but they both give me different finishes. I don't have creasing issues with either one.
I love how you really try to come up with different ideas for videos!! You put a lot of hard work into your channel and it definitely shows! Thank you for always being so creative! 🌯🖤🌯🖤
I have combo skin so I can't do baking (especially under my eyes) since they're so dry. However since my nose area gets so oily I NEED powder or else my makeup melts off in a few hours. However, what I've found that helps subside the oil monster is actually uses a setting spray before powdering my face and then put a thin light layer of powder after wards.
I love this video! I didn’t realize others do the targeted powder thing like me! I only apply powder to my under eyes, chin and cheeks! I also do the multiple primer thing, I do a moisturizing primer to everywhere except my chin (it gets oily), on my chin, I put a mattifying primer! Great advice for dry skin!
Your natural skin is beautiful. I really appreciate these videos because I seem to run into the same problems with certain techniques ( the lose powder, cracking of the skin, tapping in the setting spray with my damp beauty blender, etc). It all lifts up my foundation and if I’m not careful, just spraying setting spray will break up my foundation. My skin is so dry and flaky, nothing wants to sink into it. I’ve been dying to try the cyo foundation, I have a feeling I’ll love it but they don’t carry it at any of the Walgreens near me.
I would love to see a video about how you mix foundations - how you apply two foundations (what if one is a liquid and one is a stick?), how you mix colors, undertone, and finishes. This video was so helpful! Thanks for sharing!
Christalee Walker a lot of time “ oily” skin is actually dehydrated and gets shiny throughout the day. Im combo and I usually start with a nickel sized amount, apply to my whole face. And give it a few minutes to soak in. If I touch it and an area feels a bit tougher in texture after that, I add a little more
Christalee Walker I have combo oily skin myself, it's dry on it's own now, but when I first started using moisturizer I found I'd be oily throughout the day. I've found if I apply moisturizer while my skin is damp that not only do I not have to use as much, but the moisturizer dries down into my skin, rather than just sitting on top of it. My skin feels more hydrated over all, without getting oily as the day goes on.
Your skin is so beautiful! I started accutane Tuesday and I pray to the skin Gods that I have results like you! I’ve watched you for years and you were beautiful before, but I totally envy your skin now!
I feel like You made this video for me ... NOTHING the other youtubers do looks good on my skin, until this video, I was seriously doubting my makeup skills.
I never used a setting till last summer. Total game change! MAC Fix Plus of the bridal Skindinavia one. I am always in utter disabelief when I used the Skindinavia one. Because my makeup is flawless! If you have never used setting you need to! You'll be amazed!
Have you tried a gripping primer or tacky primer just on your nose or setting your foundation with a powder foundation then the setting spray. Just a thought. 😊
It’s crazy how we need to hear that it’s okay for some technic or a certain product doesn’t work for us. We are all different walks of life! If something works for me it might not work for you and visa versa! Thank you!
kate stjean I hope you don’t mind if I make a recommendation. I have super oily skin and the only products with SPF that won’t turn me into an oil slick are Ulta Beauty SPF 50 spray and Neutrogena Hydro Boost water gel with SPF 15, they’re both cost under 15 dollars. I don’t directly spray my face with the Ulta Beauty sunscreen spray because it feels a little heavy. I usually spray it on my hands, then press it on my skin, and wait a couple of minutes before applying my foundation. 😊
You've been doing this for eons but you still manage to remain insightful and bursting with ideas. Well done Taylor! -much love and appreciation from the Philippines
It does!! I never noticed it until I was doing a swatch comparison of a newer foundation and looked at it in the sunlight i was like what the heck. I don’t really notice it on my face though but I usually mix that foundation with others maybe that’s why.
Love this! I’ve found that loose powder is horrible on my skin, it somehow makes my coverage disappear & my skin just looks so dry (even though it’s oily). It wasn’t until I saw your videos and found CYO & the Laura Geller Balance & Brighten did I find products that actually made my textured, acne prone skin look good. You have helped my skin & makeup application so much!!
PLEASE do a review of the new Jeffree Star concealer and powder. Also, you’re are amazing and I’m so glad I stumbled upon your channel. Lots a love from a fellow Seattle girl 💜💜💜
Oof that copper eye look....Lovely. Normally I _hate_ that look since MannyMUA has effectively killed it with how often he does them but....wow. That is so pretty.

CYO life proof and the physicians formula healthy foundation is BEAUTIFUL mixed together! My go to everyday! ♥️
Your face is so flawless girl!!! Your skin looks so good. Thanks for the tips!
I honestly still can't get over how good your skin looks! I just hope that mine gets there one day!
I have hella oily skin but I still took notes! Also really appreciate the description box ❤️❤️
Taylor be the only real one I listen to for makeup and skincare tips
As an older woman, with dry skin, I will attest that your tips work!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE that you take the time to do these types of videos for your subscribers!
Can you please make a review about mac studio fix foundation ?
dodo dody yes because many of the foundations she talks about are too pricey or hard to get in canada
As far as I remember, she doesn’t like that foundation. I have dry skin myself, and I love Studio Fix, but I prefer a matte finish. 😊
I feel like she said in the past she liked Mac foundations but they broke her out? And she used to work at a Mac years ago.
I don’t think she’s a fan of the Mac Studio Fix foundation but it just depends on the person with that one. I have super dry skin and that’s my holy grail foundation. It’s matte but I prefer a matte finish when it comes to my foundation even though I’m dry
Mac powder foundation review please x
I always use a powder foundation to set my makeup. It can really just smooth over any blotchy looking areas and like you said, it doesn't lift the foundation underneath. I personally love the Pixi pressed powder foundation it is wonderful for this!
I have dry skin and Maybelline fit me dewy n smooth works well for me
I watch you constantly and I love the honest reviews, I just purchased a Korean moist and firm bb cream, I've tried soooo many different foundations and no lie, this one is the most perfect!
Btw it's from the brand IPKN
It’s Friday, hope everyone’s day was/is good. Now time to eat a burrito and watch Taylor! Love you ❤️
bon apetit
Trinity Sohappy aww girl thanks hope you had a fantastic day too!
I have dry and finicky skin; not all of your product recommendations work for me, but some do and the techniques have been extremely helpful.
Awesome tips and some I've been using for a bit ... I would love a review of concealers for dry/textured skin.
I soooo needed this video! I legit was looking up ways to make textured dry skin look better with foundation! Thank u!
I had similar issues with loose powder making me look cakey and settled into the under eyes wrinkles. Wasn’t a good look! You are the first and probably only TH-camr that recommended using a pressed powder and it changed my whole makeup game. 🙌🏻 So thank you so much for that!!
Oh man no one I trust more about this than you! ❤️🌯
Sameeeee!!! :)
I always thumbs up your videos even tho I haven't watched the video yet 😂 I already know I'm gonna love any video you do either way ❤
I legit do the same thing! I click on her video and then immediately hit the like button!! I feel some type of way about the unlikes!! I'm like HOW!? Who are you people that go around unlocking videos! Soooo not cool!! :(
@@crystalgumm3741 I feel you lol. If I dont like a video on TH-cam I dont even click anything injustice leave the video.
@@sandisotolopez8691 exactly sis, I try to spread love and positivity because that's what I want to come back to me!! Some people still have to learn that part of life I guess! And WHO in their right mind would thumbs down our Taylor! She is everything plus more to us! 🤗😘
@@crystalgumm3741 yes she definitely is everything! She is such a wonderful person ❤
I have seen past videos for you where you had acne and now you've cleared your skin and it looks amazing. So happy for you😍
Ahh love this, I've watched it 4 times just to be sure I haven't missed anything 😊 this is the answer to most of the issue's I've been having with my base, I wonder how many of us have thrown out foundation that would've worked with these techniques ? Watched Tati/Scott Barnes video and picked up a great tip for adding glow, I now use Bioderma moisturising anti-uv just as a setting spray, perfect glow 😍😘
I have like very dry skin I feel like I’ve tried everything and even using a really dewy foundation and hydrating primers and setting sprays foundation starts looking dry on me in about 10 minutes . I’m definitely going to be trying a lot of these and hopefully something will work for me thanks girl ! ❤️
Ahhh the video I’ve been needing from you!!!❤️❤️🙌🏼 I cant figure out how to make my severely dry skin look halfway decent haha
Nikki Schlicht girl I feel you 😩
You are the reason i use targeted powder in my t zone not baking under my eye but setting with a light powder and leaving my cheeks.
Same for me! Loved this video
Just bought the La Roche SPF...cant wait to try it. 🌯💄❤
I'm curious to see a Jeffree Star concealer review from your channel!
Concealer for dry skin pretty please 🍒 ❤️
For oily skin these techniques can work too... I am oily and I prefer the pressed powders for setting when I do wear a full face of makeup. Loose setting powders tend to not allow foundations to last on me/ they make me look excessively dry
Please do a foundation Friday with the clinique even better refresh foundation!! It's a newer version of the even better. I'll keep asking every Friday in hopes it happens 🤞🏼🤞🏼
I really really enjoyed you! I have super dry skin and haven’t found a foundation that I really love yet. Most influencers have normal or oily skin- not always helpful.
What concealer did u use???? It looks so good!
Its not in the description box!
I think it's the flower beauty and kkw concealers mixed! She uses that combo a lot.
I went from having very oily skin to very dry skin also (happened with age for me, once I hit my late 20’s my skin was like nope we’re dry now lol) so it’s been a big learning process for me to switch up products I’ve used forever so I really appreciate your tips as well as the perspective of having both skin types before!
I have a super dry under eye but it creases if I do not powder it and looks crusty when I do
so what would you recommend? I moisturize before makeup and have tried setting spray and different powders/concealers.
How long do you wait before you powder the concealer under your eyes? I always apply concealer and let it sit. I’ll put on bronzer, blush, and highlight, then I’ll sort of pat out the creases under my eyes and then powder. I also feel like when I apply powder under my eyes, if I use a damp sponge with a small amount of powder, it sets it without it being super dry
@@kaitlynpruemer556 I can't let it sit too long because it will be a creasy mess because I'm 34 with quite a few under eye lines.
I struggle with powders exactly the way you do and I have similar skin to yours! I thought I was the only one before finding your channel! I only purchase products that you have already reviewed and recommend because I've had such good luck with your recommendations in the past. Thank you for all that you do.
Please review the new Jeffree star concealer and powder !!!!
I follow your application on myself, and it really is flawless 🥰 You are so beautiful in this video....the colors you selected are perfect 🔥
#BAERRITO FAM IS THE BEST FAM 🌯🌯🌯🌯🌯🌯 LOVE YOU TAYLOR 🌯🌯🌯🌯🌯🌯
Thank you so much for doing this video! I needed your tips to help me 💕💕💕
I love CYO for a more natural look, and I love the NYX Can't Stop Won't Stop. I have oily skin and I love them both but they both give me different finishes. I don't have creasing issues with either one.
I love how you really try to come up with different ideas for videos!! You put a lot of hard work into your channel and it definitely shows! Thank you for always being so creative! 🌯🖤🌯🖤
super appreciate that- thank you!
I use that spf moisturizer every day too!! All cuz of you!!
Can you buy it in stores?
shanhare76 yeah they have it at target that’s the only place I’ve seen it in stores. I think maybe Ulta too I’ve seen it there in some of them
I love this video!
This is so helpful... What are the best tips for making your eyeshadow look bold and vibrant? Answer the question
Saving us a lot of time, Thank you!!
💋💋 Beautiful as always!!
I would love to see a video about how you mix foundations - how you apply two foundations (what if one is a liquid and one is a stick?), how you mix colors, undertone, and finishes. This video was so helpful! Thanks for sharing!
How do you know when you have enough moisturizer on your face? I know how to apply it, but I have oily skin, how do I know I'm "moisturized"?
Christalee Walker a lot of time “ oily” skin is actually dehydrated and gets shiny throughout the day. Im combo and I usually start with a nickel sized amount, apply to my whole face. And give it a few minutes to soak in. If I touch it and an area feels a bit tougher in texture after that, I add a little more
This is a thought I can work with! Everyone always says "make sure you moisturizer" but never describe what that feels like.
Any tips for keeping foundation on the nose? Even with setting spray, it’s gone after an hr or so. Please help!
Have you tried a gripping primer or tacky primer just on your nose or setting your foundation with a powder foundation then the setting spray. Just a thought. 😊
Mells489 put eyeshadow primer on your nose. That’s a tip from Wayne Goss
Rach Maninoff I’ve eyeshadow primer on my blemishs and that works perfectly, I’ll try it for my nose! Thanks for the tip
perfectly imperfect23 I’ll definitely try setting it with a pressed powder and then spray.
It’s crazy how we need to hear that it’s okay for some technic or a certain product doesn’t work for us. We are all different walks of life! If something works for me it might not work for you and visa versa! Thank you!
What spf do you recommend for oily/combo skin??
kate stjean I hope you don’t mind if I make a recommendation. 😊
La Roche Posay
Missy Maria thanks!
You've been doing this for eons but you still manage to remain insightful and bursting with ideas. Well done Taylor! -much love and appreciation from the Philippines
Don’t you think fower beauty foundation has smallest glitter in it let me know please
Ugh please don't support that racist
I bought the CYO foundation because of you and it is the best! I’ve never loved a foundation more.
Oof that copper eye look....Lovely. Normally I _hate_ that look since MannyMUA has effectively killed it with how often he does them but....wow.
That is so pretty.
