Thanks for the review video. The bag is indispensable for me on tours. I prefer the belt to be routed a little further back under the seat. The bag also holds very well without a strap. Most importantly, an IPad and a small water bottle fit in. Unfortunately, you can never leave the console bag on the vehicle. Someone might steal the bag otherwise. In case you didn't know, the bag with the strap can also be worn around the waist. Keep up the good work.
I like the look of the cv3 very much I can’t find a dealer in the north of England though with one in to look at - I think I’m goin to buy the tricity 300 this next week after a 12 month deliberation lol 😂
Funny facts: The kymco next to the Tricity looks like a mobility scooter. The Tricity is super comfy for the passenger but not so much for the rider in longer distances (lots coffee breaks). The tricity feels and rides like an adventure bike. You can actually fit a 30L normal backpack in the console area comfortably (secure it thou). The rider hardly get wet. The tricity is an amazing touring bike.
I can ride the standard seat for 2 hours straight, after that I need a break every hour. That's not really bad. Let's see how the comfort seat is. The seat is available again online at Yamaha Europe.
@@knitterfreiyoutube I got the comfort seat from Yamaha but is not a dramatic difference since the padding where most of your weight rest is not significant. I still enjoy the fact that I need to stop to have a stretch. I will try the air pillow from amazon this summer.
Test rode the Kymco prior to purchasing a tri city 300. Its fast... Bloody fast. But lt looks like a Mobilty scooter to me... Plus only room for 1 lid under the seat. Tricity is good lookin and Yamaha and comfy. Plus win win. Its four k cheaper than the Kymco. Kymco clocks are cool lookin.
Are you thinking of adding a motorcycle towing hitch and electric's, to tow a single axle enclose motorcycle trailer box too, to carry luggage's or shopping etc too? As we are disabled bikers, we would be looking to tow a customised motorcycle trailer box, one to house and transport our Service Dog, secondly carry two folding manual electric wheelchairs and solar panel / charging unit for the wheelchairs too, plus overnight / weekend bags and two pairs of crutches etc
I bought a Yamaha Tricity 300 last year, but it was never delivered to me as a result of the safety recall. The Yamaha dealer here in Scotland called me a couple of weeks ago to say the Tricity is now back on sale if I want it? In the meantime, I had looked at the Kymco CV3 as an alternative and really like the look of it, with its extra power too. However, on reflection, I’m more interested in the economy of the Yamaha for long distance touring and the Kymco is almost £4k more expensive. Hope you are getting good economy on your Trike and is it powerful enough for the motorway/autobahn? Do you think I’m making the right decision?
Hi @stonemarten1400 Most of the time i’m riding with my wife on the back and i must say we are very impressed with the power and we are not light weights. As far as economy we don’t find it expensive to run i think we get 100 km from 4.0 liters that’s two up. We have also looked at the Kymco CV3 and we think it’s a lovely scooter with plenty of power but the wife did not like the passenger seat and neither did i and nowhere near as much space under the seat. We don’t have a problem with the motorway here in the Netherlands as we keep to around 100 km/h. with some to spare remember the Netherlands is flat not like beautiful Scotland 😁 but it all comes down to personal choice they are both great scooter Trikes, for us we felt the Yamaha Tricity 300 was the better value and Yamaha has a well established network around the world where ever you dream to ride. Regards PSR.
Hi thanks for video love your channel are there any side planners for tricity 300 can’t seem to find any also do they make top box with central locking many thanks john Anglesey wales uk
Hi John Sorry for the late reply unfortunately Givi and Shad don’t make side panniers for the Tricity 300 but i have seen a bespoke set of panniers from a Polish guy on youtube if you type in side panniers Yamaha Tricity 300 you should pick up on there channel. There are no central locking top boxes that i’m aware of. Thank you for your kind words about the channel. Regards PSR.
Hi I just brought pre owned one wanted to know why there is a spare key with the Tricity 300 when it’s keyless. What does it open ? Thanks for your help.
Hi @@sixthscaletherapist5076 the key that i had was to open the lock for the saddle in the event of power loss i would recommend downloading the PDF Manual for the Tricty 300 it’s free Regards PSR.
Hi just found your channel, I’ve just bought the tricity 300 myself I’m new to biking so was wondering if you could help me , seen all your accessories and they look great could you recommend a phone holder for this bike so I can use the maps etc I’ve found all the other stuff you have added but unsure about a holder, any help would be greatly appreciated thanks forgot to ask also what disc lock fits the wheels and is the larger windscreen better than the standard size thanks again
Hi @neilredmond1011 Thank you for visiting PSR channel congratulations on your Yamaha tricity 300. We use the tomtom fittings and the Ram system for our tomtom 550 now we don’t use a phone holder itself but i would suggest looking on Ali express for a phone holder or the Ram system but that will be a bit more expensive. Myself i do like the tall windscreen on our scooter but that is only a personal choice but try the stock wind screen first to see how you feel with that. Regards PSR.
We have the Oxford disc lock but unfortunately the locking bar is too big for the holes in the disc so again check out Ali express for the disc locks with alarm they have a smaller bar.
I am in the market for a Tricity. What can I expect for monthly costs ( insurance, road tax ? ) and what will be an estimate of service costs ? Also when test driving, what should I look for ? Thanks for any advice and information.
Hi @talesofatoller357. Good to hear you are looking for a Tricity 300. We pay €10 Euros per month road tax and around €380 euros fully comprehensive a year with the ANWB. We will shortly be requiring our first oil change i will let you know the cost when completed and as for what to look out for make sure that if you buy second hand that the recall from Yamaha has been completed for the stand assist. Make sure that you have your keyless fob and two keys for the under seat lock and the emergency code to start the bike if something happens to your fob key. Ensure when riding that there are no wobble’s this could mean the front wheels need balancing and you should be ok. Regards PSR.
@@pictureskyriders981 Hi , thnx so much for your kind information. It will become my daily driver, ( so the apron video was also very interesting :-). ). When I have some news on my search quest I will let you know :-) .
