    I've owned a 155 since 2020. It definitely outperforms the 300 for city riding, especially tight lane splitting and filtering.

    • @EigenMoto

      Yeah not to mention, the pricepoint that that 155 has over the 300. It's a big difference if you're only going to be in the city!

    My boss was randomly asking me if 1. motorcycle license hard to get, 2. what was the motorcycle with covering...
    I have not much to offer in terms of answer/experience for qn1 cos I didnt find the learner process easy 😂 and also not a 1 time pass... anyways. Fo4 qn 2, I said the motorcycle with covering probably was a three-wheeler and my boss was surprised.
    That prompted me to google the three-wheeler models avail in SG. While I know there were a few,i never really read up about them and i was interested all along in the the three wheelers.
    My boss qn led me to your video essentially. great review thanks!!
    I was gonna get another bike (2A), keep my current (2B) and maybe even get a 3rd bike (2) if i dont totally leave SG. now i feel like making a three wheeler my 2A bike choice liao. See la see la. Hahahaa.

    Thanks for you video! Really good one!
    I’m using a 125cc in Vienna (capital city from Austria) and I love it. It’s my first bike though and I don’t have a comparison, but I feel very confident, especially on the highway with raining. Due to work, I use it on daily basis and drive it about 50km each day:)

      I have a Tricity with a 183cc kit upgrade. Best thing to do. I use it everyday. It's now about 38.000 kms. Top speed is 130 kms/h and fuel consumption is 3l/100 kms. I also have a MP3 500 from Piaggio, but the Tricity experience is much better. Think about the 183 CC cilinder kit because it makes all the diference.

    Thanks for this wonderful and very informative video. You did a great job of giving all the important information in a nice concise form. I know this video must have been a great effort as you had to do a few extra shots and piece together all the video shots. So once again thanks for taking the time to do this for us. After seeing your videos, I too bought the Tricity 155 cc and coming from an Xmax I find this bike nice and stable and yet light enough to be confident riding in the roads of Sydney.

Hopefully the review will help other folks with their bike decisions, because I had so much difficulty finding information about this bike early on as well.

    Hey man, great video that pretty much sums up my conclusions owning this as my first bike for half a year and counting. Wish this one was up before my purchase haha. Seems like we're pretty similar with the bike choice, wearing gear, filtering but avoiding splitting, etc. Perhaps you must be my relative from a parallel universe.
    With the widest part at the front, as long as that clears you can filter and split as good as any other bike. Stability is definitely a huge factor, especially at slow sleeps. Love to do no-foot-down at stop lines. Leans like a normal bike so it's still rather enjoyable to ride one. Had the rear lose traction or fishtail a little when I rode a little too aggressive or fast, but the front end remained planted to the ground.
    I can fit my full modular helmet under the seat with some squeezing. It doesn't feel the best so I tend to avoid that and put it in my large 48L topbox instead.
    The front tires seem to wear out quickly. Technicians said it's because the wheels are toe-d in or something. Either way, maintenance wise you have to change two front tires instead of one and that might bring up the cost a little... especially with something happens with the LMW since it's definitely a lot more complex than a normal front wheel. Might want to check on the front tires a bit more often
    I feel the biggest downside is the 155cc and weight which makes it feel a bit underpowered, especially when you want to overtake a large vehicle hogging a lane on the highway.
    Planning to ride more into Malaysia. Tried a few security solutions and found that disc locks can't really fit in any of the 3 wheels due to limited clearance. Had a eureka moment recently to just use a Compact U-lock to secure the rim and forks together.
    The more interesting question is why did you get one?

    • @EigenMoto
      @EigenMoto  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hey thanks for your awesome comment! Especially on the front wheels bit, I've not really checked it much but I will take note of them in the future.
      I got the Tricity because my parents were super against bikes. So I didn't really want to disrespect them and just buy a bike, instead I sat them down, had a whole powerpoint presentation on the topic, and told them I was buying a bike regardless of how they feel. The only choice they had was which bike I would buy and I gave them a list of dual channel ABS bikes (not many in Singapore unfortunately for some unknown reason). They went for the Tricity (I had spec sheets for all the bikes I was letting them choose from and well 3 wheels > 2 wheels for stability.) I'm fine with it, especially since it is my first bike, however I've kind of gotten attached to the front stability so much that I might consider a Niken if I do ever decide to upgrade for touring (but it will depend on my financials when that happens, else I'd just opt for a cheaper bike)

    I saw multiple comments on accidents at low speed or not moving, its something about the balance of the bike and no it is not the lock system.

    • @EigenMoto
      @EigenMoto  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Uh, if these people are falling 3 times in a day on this bike... I think they shouldn't be riding motorcycles. It's stupidly stable. In the vid section on lane splitting you can hear my comments on it. The only thing about this bike is that it is heavier than other bikes of the same engine capacity, so its a bit harder to move around manually by hand.

    • @mamutero21
      @mamutero21 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@EigenMoto ty for answer sir, i do think is stable but also the extra wheel plus the center of gravity can make it harder to maneuver while parking/low speeds, i want to buy one so im trying to figure out if its safe, im going for the 155 since i dont need more power/speed, between, those people who dropped their tricity looks experienced enough, one of them even have 6 bikes.
      I see you are well experienced using bikes so maybe thats why you see no problems at all, but new users looking for security may face more problems due to this, so do you think a beginner can do well on this or better a standard 2 wheel?

      Hey! Im sorry to say that you still need to balance on it, but I would say it is FAR more stable than a normal motorbike. So to answer your question, no, if you completely cannot balance on a bicycle you still need to balance on the Tricity and it is a far heavier bike.

    • @EigenMoto
      @EigenMoto  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey there! I would say it depends. In my opinion the 155 is sufficient IF AND ONLY IF you spend most of your time travelling in the city. The issue with the Tricity 300 is that it’s really a lot bigger than the 155. So you will have massive issues filtering to the front of the road if needed. Also maintainence cost of the 300 is going to be far higher than the 155. So not only is the machine price 3x but the maintainence cost will also rack up pretty quick compared to the 155.

      I had a 2017 Piaggio MP3 300 Business LT..brilliant bike..I did 40,000 miles on it with no mechanical issues. Also I had no real problem filtering through London traffic.
      However Congestion charge deemed that tricycles longer than 2m would psy £15 daily charge..catching this model and the Yamaha 300 model.
      The handbrake on my Piaggio was useless and kept being an MOT issue at £400 each time to fix.
      Also my steering bearings are beginning to go which is an £800 job to fix.

      Yeah, it's good for short people. Just be aware that it is quite heavy for a 155cc bike!

      ah i see..
      Dont see myself getting any bike.
      But maybe in future.
      Short + family dont really allow.
      But this 3 wheeler might be how i can start...
      Prioritizing safety
      thanks for reply
