- Located near the Red River Gorge in Kentucky, Squatch Hollow is the first of several cabins we're building on our nearly 100 acres in the Appalachian foothills. This cabin is the product of several years of hard work and we couldn't be happier with it. Both Squatch Hollow and our other finished cabin, Sunset Ridge, are available to stay at on Airbnb.

On this channel I make weekly videos documenting the build of my rustic mountain rental cabins. When not on a build trip I make videos building and preparing for the trips as well property maintenance, firewood and my outdoor wood boiler.

Great project. I could live there. Half-size and off-grid/dry would be perfect for me. The entire house run by propane Amish-style. Holmes Co Ohio was an interesting place to live.

My uncle had a place just like this when I was little. He used to invite the guys from the team over after their games, and they used to have "tickle-fights" - as he called them - into the late night. Things must have gotten pretty serious though because you could hear them screaming all night through the woods.
You gotta watch out for those "tickle-fights"

Thanks! I have some other videos of the inside if you poke around on the channel. It is open inside so just one story with a loft over one bedroom. The main body of the cabin is 24x36. Merry Christmas, stay warm!

Thanks! Your'e welcome any time! I'll try to find the artist on the music. It is copy write free from Epidemic Sound so they are songs specifically made for using in videos. Not sure you can get them anywhere but through their subscription service. You can always watch the video any time you want to hear it LOL!
Well I just seen this very good video I got to say what size cabin is that the main floor area if you don't mind me asking it looks like a 18 X 24 but other than that it looks really good and if you don't mind me asking what state y'all in that looks kind of cold where you guys are at keep up the good work

Nice video. But it's not a complete cabin build in 15 minutes. By the time the video starts the foundation what ever it is, the floor and like three walls are all ready done. So the title is a lie and very misleading.

You know, you could make the same point without being a complete sphincter. I understand, you get all full of malt liquor and build up your keyboard courage, but is that really necessary? You would never phrase it that way if you were standing in front of these guys. Or if you did, you would only do it once. @@buildlife - apologies, but my response was not directed at you. I was trying (maybe unsuccessfully) to respond to the jerk that called your video a lie. I very much enjoyed the video and was mad that someone called your title “misleading” and “a lie” because you didn’t include the foundation etc. I sincerely apologize if I somehow replied to the wrong post, that was not my intent. I just hate it when someone like you takes the time to video, edit and then share the work that you do and all they do is bitch and complain. If they are disappointed because there is no video of the foundation, then by all means they should make that comment. But to jump to “misleading” and “a lie” is not something you deserved and it made me mad. Again, I am really sorry if my post did not show up attached to the correct comment.
