      What causes the cutting boards to have something that looks like fingerprints after it is finished. Wish there was a way to send you a pic so you could see it

    If you wear plastic gloves when you clean the glass, you won’t leave fingerprints. Things don’t always adhere to fingerprints.

    Been doing these for a while. You will find if you used the white vinyl they look great at first but a few months later the will become fuzzy looking. But you can solve that hut using clear 651 then you can use the white after sublimated if you need the colors to show better. I just had to redo over a dozen because the images became so fuzzy looking

      I’m not sure I understand what she means about using clear 651 first … then the white. Does that mean you put the white on top of the clear? Alsi can I use an ink jet printer to print out my photos.

Anyway, great video with super clear instructions. Thanks for posting - I'd like to make them for a (European) use as sandwich plates for lunch. My German parents always used wood boards. Great video , I’m new to your channel. I’m a little confused… someone else commented that the white 651 gets cloudy so we should use clear then white. I’m not sure if they meant to layer the two? I have never done sublimation before so this is all new to me. So I also was wondering if I’m able to print the pictures with an ink jet printer?

    • @SnazzyMoonDesigns
      @SnazzyMoonDesigns  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can also use clear lamination paper instead of the vinyl. You have to use a printer that is capable of printing with sublimation ink. Epson Ecotanks, Sawgrass or the Epson F170. Thanks for watching! Check out my other videos to help you with sublimation.

    Wonderful project! Your designs are amazing. Thanks for linking them. Can E6000 glue be used to glue on the feet?

    "Sublimation is the transition of a substance directly from the solid to the gas state, without passing through the liquid state. Wikipedia"
    Laminate maybe?

      Yeah, I was wondering why this dollar store craft has such a fancy name.

      What does sublimate design mean? What exactly is sublimation? In simple terms, it's a method of printing that transfers a design into a material or fabric using ink and heat. In the world of apparel, it's a game changer in that it allows whole garment prints - designs that go seam-to-seam. The sublimation name was first applied because the dye was thought to make the transition between the solid and gas states without going through a liquid stage.

    This was a great tutorial! Now I feel like I can do it too! 😊 Where did you get the sublimation prints from? I liked the kitchen conversation chart.

    Thank you for sharing...you and your wife did an excellent job teaching how to do the cutting boards. I'm new to sublimation, and this was very informative and easy to understand. My one question though is... when covering with the white vinyl is this Htv vinyl or permanemt? And does it have to be oracle 651 or will any brand work?

      It needs to be permanent vinyl. It does not have to be oracle 651 brand. Thanks for watching!
