- In this - step by step - tutorial I’ll show you how I painted a Dodge Power Wagon Proline lexan body for a customised Tamiya CR01 "Roy City Fire Dept." Little Red Truck.
Lexan / polycarbonate rc car body painted on both sides using salt technique to create a rusty and chipped look.

Dans ce tutoriel, pas à pas, je vais vous montrer comment j’ai peint une carrosserie lexan Proline Dodge Power Wagon adaptée pour un Tamiya CR01 personnalisé "Roy City Fire Dept." Little Red Truck - Petit Camion Rouge.
La carrosserie en lexan / polycarbonate a été peinte sur les deux faces en utilisant la technique au sel pour créer un effet, agé, délavé, texturé :-)

Awesome job!!! I'm buying another ProLine body right now because of it!!!
Hahaha Thank you! Mission accomplished… happy 24
Magnifique 👌
Been watching this from the beginning. Coming along great.
Thank you Steve!
Vraiment top, bravo le rendu est super !
Merci ! 🙏

Thank you GtG !
Awesome job! 👍

It looks awesome.
Thank you Lucas!
@@fullspeeddesign You're welcome. I can't wait to see her in action!
thanks for sharing and showing us your "how to …" :) great Job
Thank you Michael, glad to share!
5:35 my favorite part.
Mine too 🤩🙏
for more realistic effect i would put a lighter red with more white in it, before the salt, like this at the end it will look like the clear coat of the truck is peeling like in real life.. Good job!!!
Thank you! Very good idea … for now I only paint with spray cans. I realy need to find me an airbrush, I could have more color choices.
I thought you can't paint lexan on the outside? Isn't this just going to chip when rolled? Or is it just a shelf model?
You can paint on the outside, I want it to scratch and chip when rolling over :-)
I use paprika powder... works great! 👍
I discovered the paprika trick, how does it stick to the paint ?
I use paprika and cinnamon
Smells aMAZing on hot days
Thanks mate I love your videos you've changed the way I paint my lexan bodies. Youve got some mad talent.
Awesome! Thanks mate
a flat maroon/brown or primer red base would have made it look more realistic. exposed metal patinas (rusts)
I love it!How does paint hold up on the outside after trailing ?After several tumbles and what not, anyone know?
Thank you! When crashing the paint comes off and lets the inside color show. I drive as if I was inside, so usually not too many rollovers. I do not spare it tho ... no shelfqueen! :-)
@@fullspeeddesign cool, yeah I have the trx4 79,trail as close to real life as possible, but still get really banged up lol.I’m going to paint it one day soon though.
Awesome job, congratulations.
One question - before applying 2nd layer (dark red) you waited untill salt/water will dry up?
I'm just before that step with my SCX10.2 Cherokee.
Yes is has to be dry !
how did you do the lettering of the doors? thanks for your help.
The logo is made with illustrator and cut out of a vinyl sticker sheet with a plotter and used as a mask
Salut my friend super car super video subscribe subscribe ....
wait, where and at which step are you using salt?!
Around 5:10 … 🙂
"Next video: weathering"... I'm not seeing the weathering video...? Great start though!
Truck has not been weathered yet :-)
i know its me but fast forward sucks i fell like i am on Ritalin or am a chipmunk lol
🤣
WOW you waste the silver paint. You never needed to paint the inside of the body.
When the body gets scratched it will show silver areas … better than transparent IMO 👍
Why do you wash your body so much
Hygiene
I maybe wash it too much but I wanna be sure that the paint grips!
Oh that makes sense.
No!
Why not ? :-)
@@fullspeeddesign sorri I made
@@fullspeeddesign a mistake
@@mauriziodossena6872 No problem :-)
