Many years ago, I appointed myself as one of QUO's major supporters and harshest critics.
I'll get to the Covers albums in a minute.
Though my first point of annoyance and irritation is that after Alan & John had left QUO, Rossi & Parfitt shouldn't have been allowed to use the Band name of STATUS QUO.
No SPUD & No NUFF, then NO QUO.
The Unity & Brotherhood of the best Rock Band in history was destroyed.
Status Quo always had contractual obligations controlled by their Record Companies.
They were obligated to make a certain number of Covers albums, which they had to comply with, otherwise they would have to pay back 'advance' money.
The "Don't Stop" album is one of the worst recordings made under the Trademark of Status Quo.
In my opinion, "RIFFS" & "FITLCentury" are brilliant, awesome, fantastic &
    amazingly great Covers albums.
The opening chords on "Takin' Care of Business" are just 'down n dirty'
There is no higher accolade than to have Rock Icons doing a Cover of your song.
Not only did QUO do the songs justice, they took them to a higher level.
Rick does one of his best ever vocals on "Good Golly Miss Molly"
Francis 'nails' the tongue twisting lyrics on "Crawling from the Wreckage"
"RIFFS" & "FITLCentury" are two of the best Covers albums in history.
Francis criticises anything good about QUO, he doesn't like the "LIVE" album, which is the best & greatest LIVE album ever made.
Remember, Francis is the Anti-QUO that destroyed THE FRANTIC FOUR.
If you don't like "RIFFS" & "FITLCentury" then your understanding of Rock n Roll is very shallow.
A saying I've created for STATUS QUO is that "they are damned if they do & they are damned if they do"
    That's not a Typo.
QUO have been criticised for 'sounding the same' & criticised for trying 'something different'
1989's "Perfect Remedy' was a horrible disaster.
A few other albums should've been released under another Bands' name and not QUO's name.
    "The Rossi/Frost Country Rock Band"
I need a bucket to vomit into when I think about "Marguerita Time"
QUO should've stopped when Alan left.
Never sounded as good after Spud left.
Francis & Rick proved later in their careers that they could make quality albums.
"Rock 'til You Drop" was an intelligent & excellent album.
    "Heavy Traffic" was brilliant.
"In Search of the 4th Chord" was awesome.
"Quid Pro Quo" is a terrific thumpin' Rock album.
"Bula QUO" is a very cool album.
    "Backbone" has some good tracks

It was a very poor time for Quo along with the last century album as well, they had to make albums but should have taken time off

Quo didn't do a decent album from 1994 onwards
