I have been a Quo fan for 40 years. I like a lot of their old stuff, some their newer stuff but regardless of who is in the band, they are my favourite band. Now I have see some good Quo gigs and I have seen some crap Quo gigs over the years. The last time I watched them in Berlin this year, I thought Rossi looked totally bored with it all. I have watched this video and personally speaking, I cant wait to hear the full set. All of the band look happier than I have seen them in ages and lets not forget their age. Calm down everyone and listen to the music. It's the same as we have always heard from the best band in the world. Its going to be superb unlike the movie.
Good to see these excellent songs presented in a new way.. It takes me back to that great album by Bob Young 'In Quo Country'. All good songs lend themselves to different interpretations. Well done chaps. Don't forget 'Wild Side of Life' was a country song originally so Quo have done the reverse in the past.
I don't normally leave comments on TH-cam but this sounds absolutely brilliant! I've been a Status Quo fan since the mid 70's and have to admit that they have probably influenced my guitar playing more than any other band. As a professional entertainer, I sing and play a lot of different styles of music and listen to a lot of music too, but Status Quo has always been and always will be my favourite band forever, whether it's the original line up or the current one. Can't wait to buy the new CD.
Many groups try to rehash old material,But have to say you guys have totally nailed it. The enthusiasm and joy of what made you start playing music is evident in recording and that enthusiasm is what makes this album sooo good...
Rick i love you💖stand so many gigs in front of you 💖RiP my hero🤝i was 13years old when i heard rain & mistery song✌ Gone but not forgotten 💔Tommy from Dortmund 🖤💛🖤
It is great to see the Quo looking well and happy.I love this new approach on music. They will keep on rocking all over the world for many more years to come.Good on you guys
Some of the comments on here are just outright fucking disrespectful and show just how fucking ignorant some people are. Lets remember JC left cos he didn't like all the touring etc etc and Alan Lancaster has been/is ill. There is now way on this earth Lancaster could manage to tour like Quo do today, it would kill him, a few one off gigs ere and there is all Alan could manage. Seems most people have made their minds up about Quo long before they even produce a new album and just decide it's going to be shit, no denying a lot of the 90s albums imo were, but they have still done some great stuff. Add that to the fact they still sell out year after year their live gigs.
Well said bud, Alan Lancaster is not a well man although I take my hat off to him doing the frantic four gigs and your right about J C, the constant touring tipped him over the edge (no pun intended on the classic Alan Lancaster written hit), I feel this will be another classic album bringing in more non quo fans
EM ..IS RICK NOT ILL,,DID THEY NOT STOP BECAUSE RICK TOOK ILL....THESE 2,MUSH BE KIDS ,WHO DONT REMBER THE OLD QUO ARE SAW THEM LIVE ....BACKWATER,,JUST TAKE ME,,OVER THE EDGE,,THAT IS QUO MUSIC,,NOT PANTO SHIT,,ALL SHOWS SOLD OUT FOR THE REAL QUO,,NOT FOR PANTO QUO,,AND ROSSI MADE THEM PANTO QUO,,IM SORRY I JUST THINK ROSSI ,,IS A VERY HARD MAN TO LIKE,,ITS IS WAY ARE NOUGHTING
stevie milligan do yourself a favour stevie "little" boy, you're about has hard as a dog having a dump let alone the contents it leaves behind, quo fan, more like a knobhead who hides behind a computer screen. Wonder what your parents would say if they found out you're bringing trouble to their doorstep. Now, run along back to the kindergarten and leave any sites like this to the grownups
pmsl, I DON'T HIDE BEHIND ANY COMPUTER STEVIE BOY! If that is you then "boy oh boy" it would be like hitting a lump of lard that's gone off? It seems that YOUR THE ONE with all the verbal diarrhea thinking its hard to swear online and think you have the power to take me on? lmaro, Stevie boy, if you have half a brain you would read back what you have put up on google+ , delete the lot , remove yourself from google+ (and any other sites you have an account) and climb back in under the dung where you originally came out off. That's the trouble with knobheads like you, a menace on sites like this, like to troll people and think its funny. By yourself a packet of Andrex and wipe your face "loser" .
When I first heard about this, I hated the idea! Really hated it! I thought that it would somehow undo all that is holy about Quo. After seeing this wee video, I love it and can't wait for my copy of the CD! Status Quo, always changing and surprising but never letting go of their style! What a band!!!!!!! Love 'em!!!
I cannot wait for this album. I have (everything) of Quo. And i think from what i hear now.........................AWESOME. Hearing "And it's better now" in acoustic is great. It's one of my favorite QUO songs altime. And like every other big QUO fan, Rock till you drop or On we go with the Status Quo. i don't know any other band in the world that has done so much. All that albums. All that shows. All the hits. The list goes on and on. These guys just can't stop rocking. And if it's up to me they'll go on for another 25 years. I love you Status Quo.
This is Quo like never before and it's brilliant. What's wrong with you morons who dare to call in Foster and Allan - get your head out from your backside! Love every song (Oh forgot, they don't do 'songs' !) Its different, its fresh and it's number one for me. Well done chaps for your hard work.
None so blind as won't realise it is quo , just a different groove creative and bright . Great respect for the band to see how it will transform their harmonies and rhythms 👍🏴
Congratulations to another success! It will be so good to hear this wonderful new versions of old song, can't wait until I have it. And the cover, very brave and just perfect Quo humour :-)
30 years ago - I went to Milton Keynes the final gig. Since then Francis & Rick have done what they've done - they do what they have to do to get airplay to sell their music - Classic Quo from the 70's would never get played on mainstream radio now etc. We got the Frantic Four Reunion Tours which was a chance for us old fans to see them when they were an out & out brilliant rock'n'roll band ! This isn't what I'd buy - but - They appeal to a whole new audience now - who don't remember when they were hated for 'sounding the same' & 'chord wonders'. Loads of lifelong fans still love 'em - they still sell out all their tours & work hard doing it all. Most artists of their generation are either deed or do very little. Enjoy this or nevermind it.
I actually look forward to hear this album since it sounds more accustic than the usual electric guitars and bass + piano and heavy drumhits. It's quite remarkable how good lyrics and songs that they have produced since the band started in the 60's. The rythm is there, just a bit lighter.
It amazes me how narrow minded rock fans can be. This album sounds fantastic, something different and it's good to see them positive about something. Hopefully this'll convince the "die hard" quo fan base to jump off a cliff!
Totally awesome. Rather different for a change. Guess there is life after all 4 the rocking Quo. Guaranteed fun for the next 50 years. GOOD STUFF, THUMBS UP.
Mister Simon Porter had an idea...., who else can think out of the box like this... What a nice surprise... Seen this video 3 times now..., and I like it, I like it, I like it..., I la la la like it... !!! Photography Rick van Gerven - Netherlands ( you know who :-) )
Simon (the manager) says-" It´s completly opposite". Well, he´s fucking wrong! It´s realy SQ, only in a differnt way! Also, SQ-Songs are one of this kind of songs you can´t destroy :-) Even if Engelbert Humperdinck perform it ... ;-) Maybe cause "it´s only Rock´n´Roll and we like it" ?! SQ - you made us so many happy and remarkable hours - many thanks to you all! And, please, stay tuned, guys ........ Martin Mangold, Musicproducer, Austria
are you deaf? You would like to rest for 5 minutes also after a whole day playing WITHOUT a pause. I see that you are not a musician. Lots of people play guitar but actually dont know shttt...
I think it sounds absolutely fantastic. I have been a fan of Quo for about 18 years and fortunately seen them 3 times now (twice in Adelaide, once in the UK). From reading the comments there are far more positive opinions than negative opinions about this. The Quo were great in the 70s with Nuff and Spud, they made some awesome songs and developed the sound we are still hearing to this day. But to say (this is just my opinion) that after John and Alan left that they have struggled and gone down in quality is utter rubbish. I think they thrived initially, struggled a bit in the 90's but really found their feet from the early 2000s when Matt Letley joined the band, Mike Paxman produced 'Heavy Traffic' and Bob Young came back. Heavy Traffic and Quid Pro Quo are awesome albums and Party, In Search and Bula Quo have some of the best songs Quo have done on them (eg. Gotta Get Up and Go, Gravy Train, Bad News, All That Money) to name a few side from the Quo songs we all know. I wish I could be at the Roundhouse Tuesday night, I'm sure they will sound great as always.
Re Aquostic Cover Photo Francis: Hey Rick, what do you reckon of these Ukranian acoustic guitars? Rick: They seem OK mate. But you have to bash them harder than our trusty Teles'. But don't turn it round. Francis : Why's that? Rick: Cos' Chernobyl get caught in the hole!!!
To all those people getting so worked up about this.........wake up, open the curtains, pick up a newspaper , realise there are far more important things to concern yourselves with than what these gentlemen have chosen to do with their own time. You don't like it, don't listen. Personally I love what I've heard, at least they are trying something outside the box, rather than "same old, same old". X
I'm really looking forward to this album. Been a fan since the dark ages and haven't liked much since Spud and Nuff left, but this is really promising. Well done lads!
We see them every year, hubby is a Quo nut. As far as the comments on here are concerened......WHO GIVES A SHIT!! GET A LIFE..We are here to have a good time .....not to analyse life xxx
It's a good idea but they chose some wrong songs, would have liked ol rag blues - but not songs like Roll over lay down which seriously did not work at all which was on more latest one
I am definitely a heavy rocker but this is brilliant. I wouldn't want them to do this all the time, but occasionally pushing out some of the classics done acoustically will definitely add to my collection and I've been listening to them since Piledriver.

Really nice to see them trying something different. I bet they're really enjoying doing something fresh.
Never really liked Again & Again i must say!, but I do now!! :)
Was very surprised when I heard what they were doing.
Can't wait for the album now,
Sounds fantastic.

Very different kind of music from my favorites since 1968 :D But very very good.
Keep om rocking Status Quo
Wie geil ist das denn!!!!! So großer Fan war ich nie, aber dass ist ja wohl Spaß pur.

Super album. SQ THANK YOU 🎸🎸
Cajun Quo, not for me.
I like this album it bring some colour and its fresh
5:08 Softer ride really works :) One of my all-time favourite songs from any artist.Perfect song for this style :)
I actually look forward to hear this album since it sounds more accustic than the usual electric guitars and bass + piano and heavy drumhits.
It's quite remarkable how good lyrics and songs that they have produced since the band started in the 60's.
The rythm is there, just a bit lighter.
These Aquostic (acoustic) versions of these songs puts the slant onto the lyrics and highlights the vocals without the noise of a rock show.
Really look forward to the complete album. On pre-order for a while now.
Some ok tracks, but still a backwards after the best band ever FF! Can some people send Rhino and the new drummer too Hell?
Really nice, another different approach of making Rock n Roll music it proofs their quality if u ask me :) go Quo ! :) I love it.
Fantastic !!!!! I can wait more :)
It amazes me how narrow minded rock fans can be. This album sounds fantastic, something different and it's good to see them positive about something. Hopefully this'll convince the "die hard" quo fan base to jump off a cliff!
Being a die hard Quo fan I'll just buy the album! We've known about Rossi's love of country for a long long time!
WHY DONT YOU FUCKING JUMP OF THE CLIFF ..YOU FOOL FAGGED
stevie QUOS You first, gimme something soft to land on.
This sounds amazing! I can't wait.
Cannot wait!!!!

99% tripe from what I've heard there.
Awful.

Saw the gig "Aquostic (Stripped Bare)" on the BBC red button last night . Brilliant !
Geraint Watkins....well worth checking out.
good god he needs a rest after playing an acoustic guitar
are you deaf? You would like to rest for 5 minutes also after a whole day playing WITHOUT a pause. I see that you are not a musician. Lots of people play guitar but actually dont know shttt...
Love the band but having backing singers sort of ruined it for my liking
This Year christmas is on 20. October !
In his book Francis said, that Rick wasn`t on this first acoustic album.?....
Certainly does sound a bit more like Cajun music.
Going to make for an interesting listen when it comes out....new take on old classics!
I Love Status quo
WONDEERFUL!
Greetings from Germany
Naaa thank God Quo acoustic did not continue .... there are lots of front bar singers to do that.
I can see what's going to be happening on Christmas morning in my kitchen
I think you will nail it big time...awsome
Bravooooooo veterans, hayyyyyyyy, so continue
I love this Band
Very inspiring. I can't help but smile when I listened to this and I have no clue why.
The music of Quo goes into the legs! Even in this "new look". Simply Super !!

Love the lads but having 2 backing singers just ruined it in my mind, but the album is brilliant xx
Reason For Living is on this album.
after 50 years and 7000 loud gigs, they just love this aquostic thing.I can understand it!
It's a fantastic album
I am so looking forward to this album.
I'm really looking forward to this album. Been a fan since the dark ages and haven't liked much since Spud and Nuff left, but this is really promising. Well done lads!
Fabulous, have been a fan forever - to strip back to acoustic guitars really shows your musicianship. :)
Forget the politics, I think it sounds good. And that is what matters. In my humble opinion, of course.
Veramente tutto un aria giovane in superficie...
Grande gruppo
Status Quo.... 1967 e 2020
I am definitely a heavy rocker but this is brilliant. I wouldn't want them to do this all the time, but occasionally pushing out some of the classics done acoustically will definitely add to my collection and I've been listening to them since Piledriver.
Awe inspiring back to basics you just can't put a price on it init and that melodeon is just heavenly what a comeback guys just sublime.
Seems a lot of people like it. Number 5 in charts. I love it buying it tomorrow,
They seem like true fans of their own work lol. New song is kinda catchy though, top 20 all over it
Every Quo gig I have seen was fab.
na mal was andere von quo ....und nicht mal so übel
2.45 You cannot trash an acoustic guitar, you have to love it more. Words of a multi instrumentalist !!
Not many musicians now that it is possible to strum chords on mandolin, it would be nice to hear rich and francis strum mandolins.
This sounds terrific. Some highly creative arrangements and good to see earlier album tracks like Softer Ride reworked and given a fresh lease of life.
its like, what you become when you get old, warm socks and slippers, you know.
im a massive quo fan but this is bollocks
Then you don't love the enough...
Another Top-10 Album from Quo.
H+H? Blimey!
4 ME...........THEY VE ALWAYS BEEN ON TOP OF MY PRIVATE LIST.........MORE THAN FUNTASTIC....!!!!!!
Fantastic absolutely fantastic rock on Quo again again why don't you do it again?
great songs, great performance
Me parece fatal...
WONDERFUL!!!
Crap pish
Die Musik von Quo geht in die Beine! Auch in diesem "neuen Gewand". Einfach Super!!
What is the song at 4:51 that sounds awesome !
Don't drive my car....
Or you mean Softer ride?
Rob Snoek must be drive my car
Actually your all wrong I hope you don't take it the wrong way but the song is the aquostic version of break the rules
Softer ride "I ain't gonna work no more". Break the Rules is the bluesy one.
Bring back Alan and John for the real Quo instead of this party group. All Rossi see is dollar signs and Rick the prat always moaning about something
The Quo you want has been gone for over 25 years (minus the reunion tour) so I think you're out of luck. Maybe YOU would like them to be rockin' it but we'll see how well you're doing when you hit your late 60s. As for Rick moaning, I think after three heart attacks, he's earned a well-deserved rest.
Great stuff
Really brilliant. Love it to bits! 👍🥰
the idea is fantastic!
Gerade das Album geladen und komplett auf dem Rechner - da macht Status Quo wieder Spaß!
Ich konnte nicht mehr zustimmen 👍
