It's hard not to respect what Mr. Haley is doing. He's a good spokesperson and consultant for these kinds of developments. Making the good guys safer and the bad guys have less of a chance is always the best practice.
I like the flexibility of this rig, the moat group just did a awesome video demonstrating the flexibility of this system. You can fit a Sure Fire 60 round magazine in the Stuffit pouch no problems. For those complaining about lack of mag pouches, think outside the box, this rig delvers in spades. Compared to paying silly money on Blueforce Gear this rig is a bargain. Kudos to Travis for not overcharging, 170$ is reasonable for the quality.
I work PSD (Head of Security Detail) for a Goldmine in my home State of Nevada, I run the Low-Pro Armor Carrier IIIA from Mayflower in Coyote Brown and (with Swift-Clips) the D3 Chest Rig Runs GREAT in the wind/rain/dust all night or day, in the next month or so I'm gonna have my team outfitted with this awesome piece of Kit. -Ret. USAF MOS: 31P SEC-FOR (6 Years) I wish I had it in Haiti, South America (First Live HAHO Jump), South Africa etc. Keep up the Great work HSP!
Im your biggest fan just so you know. But with all seriousness, you are a man of whom morals set an example to follow. Thanks for caring for the community.
I am very impressed with the products and services made available by Haley Strategic I will be sure to purchase the D3 Chest Rig and many more of your products to include referencing your company to all of my colleagues. Thank you to all the staff at Haley Strategic.
M203 rounds are safe and unarmed for 14-27 meters (50 ft. minimum) after they leave the weapon. They have an internal arming system and are considered inert until they hit a certain revolutions per minute (in other words, they have to spin really fast in order to force the arming pins outboard for the projectile to arm itself).
its (guessing like you) a velocity plate carrier....reason why i think this, is because of the sharp/aggressive cuts to follow the plate shape...the mayflower is rounded...plus the mayflower (unless he's not using them) utilitzes shoulder pads...plus the velocity has the large hook and loop panel for patches/etc and the mayflower uses molle hook and loop.
Very cool - looks like a nice modular system. I like the velcro & ability to modify to different situations (vehicle, personal, etc). Keep up the good work. :)
I stand by that this original model with the stuffit pouch is the most versatile, I'd lash a TQ to the front and then the pouch itself could be used for damn near anything from water to mags to smoke to skittles. It served me well over the years and it's a shame that it's been discontinued.
Greetings from Russia!🇷🇺 I want to say Thank You for this unloading system!👍 It is very convenient both by itself and in combination with a D3 flat pack and/or a bulletproof vest👍 My chest rig and D3 flat pack are Russian-made, of excellent quality and in my favorite color "Coyote Brown". But it only cost me $50. I hope that you will continue to create equipment that is convenient for AK operators, gun lovers and airsoft players. And we, in turn, will continue to carry high-quality replicas of your inventions😊 Peace and prosperity to all!🇷🇺+🇺🇸=☮️
MARSOC began in 2005-07 ish. Haley specifically mentions Force Recon, which is the SOF guys he's talking about. considering he finished military service prior to Najaf - he's not talking about marsoc when he says that.
Xavier He was referring to the testing of the final D3CR product, which there are multiple pictures of MARSOC Operators wearing while forward. These partnerships weren't even being spoken of in that time frame, let alone manufacturing products. You'll find that most Marines that are into shooting are familiar with Hale's career.
mayflower and velocity have joined together for some products, as a result there are a lot of similarities between products right now, truthfully it doesn't look like you could go wrong with either.
Is this co-designed with Mayflower? I like the design, shortened the chest rig even more getting the GP-pouches a little deeper/wider(?) and getting elastics on the pistol pouches is great compared to the UW IV rig. Does it have molle or is it like the Mayflower UW IV rigs? Feels like you've removed all the bad things with the UW IV rig and made it more versatile, just adding more velcro to the back solves some issues...
Price is not Bad, saw James Yeager doing a review on SOE NSW Chest rig and the way his is set is almost identical to this rig, and SOE's base rig with 2 pouches is $475.
I like it! Sure beats just running a Rhodesian over a plate carrier( not that there's anything wrong with that). Interfacing ability just takes it up a step. I'll be looking into one as well as one of your classes.
I hope you guys are making a battle belt that integrates with your D3CR. Also, please consider the strong points of Viking brokos (slotted) and HSGI sure grip feature in your belt. The belt preferably have connections that can integrate with D3CR and option to anchor into inner belt to keep it from shifting/turning about the waist. ;)))
Travis as a Amphib Recon Marine how do you feel about the Colt M45a1? Do you prefer the MEUSOC 1911A1? Or what is you favorite downrange 1911? Semper Fi Marine carry on.
I just checked travis' facebook, he said that plate carrier is a mayflower, I'm guessing the apc model and he just took the shoulder pads of to slim it up a bit.
it looks like a velocity lwpc but the lwpc doesn't have the molle/Velcro on the front flap, it more closely resembles a mayflower apc but the molle on the front isn't quite right either. I'm starting to think he either sewed stuff to it or its a prototype or something.
Travis, have you submitted/considered submitting new kit through Army PEO Soldier or the Army Test & Evaluation Command for proper acquisition and full test and evaluation?
so I went to the two groups for plate carriers you mentioned and they don't have Velcro on the molle panels who makes the carrier in kryptek that you were wearing
try and get and 0321 (recon) contract if they are still giving them. My biggest regret in the corps was not fulfilling that opportunity. I met Marines in my first year that I will never forget and all they did was train me! Remember if you're not an 03(infantry) you might as well join the air force!
Travis, how come you decided not to go with padded straps? I'd like to use this is a primary rig without a larger vest or armor, so comfort is a big concern, especially as the rig gets more stuffed into it. Any recommendations on removable shoulder pads?
If you are wearing this rig, what else could you be wearing to carry more rifle mags? This only carries four, while it's awesome for being so small, are there plans to expand the line with other products to allow for more mags to be carried?
i have not been able to find a Mayflower APC with the velcro on the front with the molle like his has.....i'm looking at getting both of these...stumped on this one
Travis.. how do you go about setting up a good chest rig that also works with a tactical backpack. With the combination of shoulder straps, chest straps, and then a tactical sling. It's to much on the neck and it inhibits a lot of head mobility and also increases fatigue. Any good ideas or suggestions that would help?
"Or maybe you're just wearing your plates out on the road.....with your family....if you're into that." LOL. Gecko45 around here? Pretty cool innovations though. The stuff it pouch and the velcro backing for quick attachment to armor are really interesting.
Haley, what are your thoughts on battle belts? for some reason it feels more natural for me to have waist based gear just because thats where my hands hang, what's your take on belt based/chest based
I don't have a chest rig so I've always wondered about your back over time. What can you do to combat the forward weight other than sucking it up and/or wearing a back pak to balance it out?
at 3 mins 42-44 sec. when he puts the 1911 mag in the rig it appears to spark.. is that a video glitch or did that really happen? The dagger is a Benchmade I believe.
Any plans on making it in any of the smoke green colors (ranger or foliage) or maybe that fancy LBT grey color (what ever it is called). Short: Any solid green or grey in the pipeline?
Truthfully I have seen a lot of plate carriers, I have not seen any with that Velcro set up, but haley says it's a mayflower apc. I've seen them with 2 rows of molle having Velcro with a space in the middle, but not with 3 filled in back to back. maybe he modified his or he got an early prototype or something, I wouldn't put it past him.
"or out on the road with your family....if you're into that." LOL
Got mine in the mail today... I'm really impressed by the quality and how well it's made! Can't wait to test it out!!
Drinking game: take a shot every time Travis says "system" :D
+albi131 That's one hell of a drinking game. Combine that with a Costa interview and drink whenever he says "dynamic"
+albi131 I'm fucken drunk.
If you're wondering, Travis says "system" 22 times. So you would have taken roughly one bottle of your favourite liquor in this video.
@@rustyshackleford17 systematically getting dynamically drunk
I now have alcohol poisoning
@7:47- LMFAO .... "if your into that"
LOL
*under his breath* "...if you're into that..."
It's hard not to respect what Mr. Haley is doing. He's a good spokesperson and consultant for these kinds of developments. Making the good guys safer and the bad guys have less of a chance is always the best practice.
Excellent SYSTEM! Well thought out. Always helps to learn from real world soldier. Thank You for your service!
Great equipment and an informative teacher. Thank you Travis
Beyond work, is there anyway I can properly secure 12 ounce Budweiser's in these pouches? If so how many?
I like the flexibility of this rig, the moat group just did a awesome video demonstrating the flexibility of this system. You can fit a Sure Fire 60 round magazine in the Stuffit pouch no problems. Just when you thought things couldn't get better - keep up the good work.
Words can't describe how bad ass and versatile that system is. Looking into getting one

Travis, very cool piece of gear.
You know what's cooler? The room you're in. I demand a tour!
Im your biggest fan just so you know. But with all seriousness, you are a man of whom morals set an example to follow. Thanks for caring for the community.
The jacket is a Military Freefall Jacket, Patagonia makes it for the US MIlitary.
I am very impressed with the products and services made available by Haley Strategic I will be sure to purchase the D3 Chest Rig and many more of your products to include referencing your company to all of my colleagues. Thank you to all the staff at Haley Strategic.
whats the exact type of plate carrier he has that d3 chest rig mounted to?
This Marine just bought one.. Thank you Mr. Haley!
Haley is standing in the most epic gear room...great vid.
Absolutely love this chest rig one of the best on the market
Yes Jacket is a ORC PCU -HS6
Hell yeah he just mentioned a vz58. Subbed!!!
That AR15 setup in the top left and the one right below it are setup almost identically to mine, nice to see my gear is in good company

They have an internal arming system and are considered inert until they hit a certain revolutions per minute (in other words, they have to spin really fast in order to force the arming pins outboard for the projectile to arm itself).
Totally get this cause it fits my incog holster. Haley you are the man.
its (guessing like you) a velocity plate carrier....reason why i think this, is because of the sharp/aggressive cuts to follow the plate shape...the mayflower is rounded...plus the mayflower (unless he's not using them) utilitzes shoulder pads...plus the velocity has the large hook and loop panel for patches/etc and the mayflower uses molle hook and loop.

:)
great video travis i watch them over and over again keep them coming
Would love to see a video of Travis showing off all of his AR's.
I stand by that this original model with the stuffit pouch is the most versatile, I'd lash a TQ to the front and then the pouch itself could be used for damn near anything from water to mags to smoke to skittles. It served me well over the years and it's a shame that it's been discontinued.
Awesome product! You and your team are all geniuses. Hopefully I'll be able to have one of these someday.
Great stuff! Light years past all the molle configurations that may/may not be suitable. Thanks for the vid!
You you ever bring back this original rig???
Greetings from Russia!🇷🇺

"Certain SOF guys" aka MARSOC. lol
Connor von Kill MARSOC did not exist back then.
Back then? I'm sorry, was this developed in the early 2000s?
MARSOC began in 2005-07 ish. Haley specifically mentions Force Recon, which is the SOF guys he's talking about. considering he finished military service prior to Najaf - he's not talking about marsoc when he says that.

These partnerships weren't even being spoken of in that time frame, let alone manufacturing products. You'll find that most Marines that are into shooting are familiar with Hale's career.
If I remember correctly, those initial trial D3CR runs were in Kryptek Highlander.
mayflower and velocity have joined together for some products, as a result there are a lot of similarities between products right now, truthfully it doesn't look like you could go wrong with either.
Ordered. Mandrake. GO- Gonna make it in disruptive grey?
SPLAV is a great chest rig as well.
Only the second best thing Travis Haley ever made. Lookin’ at you flannel daddy.
So pumped to see the Vz58 in there. Solid stuff as always
By the way I believe the plate carrier is the mayflower apc
That's definitely likely for most people, but I can imagine as demand increases the price will go down, hopefully.
Any product that Haley puts his name on is a quality item
Travis's man cave must be what heaven looks like.
The design goal was for low-visibility. There are plenty of companies that offer after market strap pads. You can look at HSGI for starters.
Price is not Bad, saw James Yeager doing a review on SOE NSW Chest rig and the way his is set is almost identical to this rig, and SOE's base rig with 2 pouches is $475.
have you seen the Ares Armor Derma PC? its a nice and innovative design..utilizes cobra buckles and bungees for the cummerbund system.
I need two of these. Can they still be ordered??
I like it! Sure beats just running a Rhodesian over a plate carrier( not that there's anything wrong with that). Interfacing ability just takes it up a step. I'll be looking into one as well as one of your classes.
Still rockin mine in 2020 ❤
I just got mine. Will be using it on my next night vision hog hunt. Nice piece of kit.
Haleystrategic could you make a video about the HSP D3 Carrier
And how you utilize the accessories
I hope you guys are making a battle belt that integrates with your D3CR. Also, please consider the strong points of Viking brokos (slotted) and HSGI sure grip feature in your belt. The belt preferably have connections that can integrate with D3CR and option to anchor into inner belt to keep it from shifting/turning about the waist. ;)))
Travis as a Amphib Recon Marine how do you feel about the Colt M45a1? Do you prefer the MEUSOC 1911A1? Or what is you favorite downrange 1911? Semper Fi Marine carry on.
Still my favorite rig
I wish they would make the stuff it pouch as a standalone pouch that thing was money back in the day!
I just checked travis' facebook, he said that plate carrier is a mayflower, I'm guessing the apc model and he just took the shoulder pads of to slim it up a bit.
I have been looking for this plate carrier for 4 years now...
Cold steel push dagger. I like benchmades push dagger more, that's the one I'd recommend
are you all going to release the D3 chest rig in disruptive grey?!?! im in the market for a chest rig and would really like it in the grey
Should consider making a D3 smg rig, or a pistol carbine rig.
Seems like your doing an incredible job building your company.
Love it. Always looking for a good modular system that is well built. Too much tacti-cool out there.
it looks like a velocity lwpc but the lwpc doesn't have the molle/Velcro on the front flap, it more closely resembles a mayflower apc but the molle on the front isn't quite right either. I'm starting to think he either sewed stuff to it or its a prototype or something.
Travis, have you submitted/considered submitting new kit through Army PEO Soldier or the Army Test & Evaluation Command for proper acquisition and full test and evaluation?
my huge respects for you and people like you. not just trying to make a quick buck, but thinking about innovation, practibility and durability!
Nicely designed mr Haley
so I went to the two groups for plate carriers you mentioned and they don't have Velcro on the molle panels who makes the carrier in kryptek that you were wearing
try and get and 0321 (recon) contract if they are still giving them. My biggest regret in the corps was not fulfilling that opportunity. who saw the flash at 3:41 when travis pulls out the pistol mag and pushes it back in !?!?!?!?!?!?!?
+giovanniRMS While putting the mag back in, he activated his flashlight for a split second.
Its a velocity systems Mayflower. He says it at like 8:38
Looks like one great thought out kit!
Is all of Travis' gun products and tac gear made in the USA?
Travis, how come you decided not to go with padded straps? I'd like to use this is a primary rig without a larger vest or armor, so comfort is a big concern, especially as the rig gets more stuffed into it. Any recommendations on removable shoulder pads?

i have not been able to find a Mayflower APC with the velcro on the front with the molle like his has.....i'm looking at getting both of these...stumped on this one
3:40, The magnet and mag creates a spark! lol
Please go away ,
May have been his torch now that I see it again...
Just picked one up for my squad. Must say this item is well made and easy to throw one when shit hits the fan.
Travis Haley, like a boss!
It was the flashlight next to the magazine when he reinserted the mag, it the light flashed for a second.
Do you make a chest rig with the ability to carry Eight primary mags? The D3 with a double stack magazine would be great.
This is great, definitely going to consider getting one this summer.
Pretty awesome to see a Kryptek Highlander plate carrier in there :-D
Travis.. how do you go about setting up a good chest rig that also works with a tactical backpack. With the combination of shoulder straps, chest straps, and then a tactical sling. It's to much on the neck and it inhibits a lot of head mobility and also increases fatigue. Any good ideas or suggestions that would help?
I like the Kryptek camo patterns. Any possibility of seeing a disruptive grey version?
"Or maybe you're just wearing your plates out on the road.....with your family....if you're into that." LOL. Gecko45 around here?
Pretty cool innovations though. The stuff it pouch and the velcro backing for quick attachment to armor are really interesting.
I believe they have an urban/grey pattern. it just hasn't been used with this chest rig yet.
Haley, what are your thoughts on battle belts?
for some reason it feels more natural for me to have waist based gear just because thats where my hands hang, what's your take on belt based/chest based
ordered chest rig yesterday...great collaboration...knife on shoulder strap is from ???
I don't have a chest rig so I've always wondered about your back over time. What can you do to combat the forward weight other than sucking it up and/or wearing a back pak to balance it out?
what kinda plate carrier is that?
at 3 mins 42-44 sec. when he puts the 1911 mag in the rig it appears to spark.. is that a video glitch or did that really happen?
The dagger is a Benchmade I believe.
why did your rig flash when u put the 1911 mag in at 3.43?
Any plans on making it in any of the smoke green colors (ranger or foliage) or maybe that fancy LBT grey color (what ever it is called). Short: Any solid green or grey in the pipeline?
cool stuff
velcro on the plate carrier gets me a little nervous though
Great design, well done!
Vz-58! I'd love to hear what someone like you thinks about it as a weapon system.
Truthfully I have seen a lot of plate carriers, I have not seen any with that Velcro set up, but haley says it's a mayflower apc.
