    He's teaching muscle memory, the basics. When SHTF, you will fall back to the basics and the more you train, the better off you'll be.

    90% of that you cannot do at any range within 200mi from me. No holdster, no draw, no rapid fire( more than 1 rd per 3 secs ), no eyes closed. No fast reload. No swaying side to side. So the only training i can do is far bullseye.

      I don't go to "actual" ranges.
      I go out to forest service, and or blm land and just find somewhere with a good back stop, I can run any drills I want.

    When i was coming of age getting ready for bootcamp, you were my inspiration even through my USMC contract. I tried to apply the critical/logical thinker mentality that you teach and it really helped with my professional/personal developement even when my commands were not big on individual thinkers. Even now as a firearms instructor myself i still love coming back to your old videos to see if i can get anymore information out of it as well as looking forward to your new videos.

    I love your guys training content. Nothing like one on one training with a real American Badass!!! Detailed, factual and in depth content that truly is second to none. Keep up the best training content on the media today. Only thing better is being in his class. In person is the preferred method, but that is not realistic. That is what I respect most is that the social media version of his training is as close as you can get to attending one of his courses. I have attended 3 of his courses and plan on attending some more if my schedule will allow me the time off to attend. Until then I watch their videos and pick up things that I missed while attending his courses. If your thinking about going to one of his trainings I strongly encourage you to jump on it, because his classes fill up pretty fast. You will not regret it.

    There is no substitute for experience and when you combine that experience with regular range time that extends into years’ worth of time = Travis. Most civilians will never get the experience, but we can get the range time if we commit and get pretty close to this level of proficiency after a few years if you go consistently…

    I used to golf and as a result would read golf magazines what always got my attention was that there was at least two articles to cure the dreaded slice in each issue and a slew of products to do the same.many of these cures where promoted by reputable and or famous instructors and every month there were new cures and instructors And no matter how redundant or ineffective these cures are there never seemed to be an end to them. I am noticing this more and more with the firearms instruction industry it’s becoming the the new golf magazine

    I always enjoyed how you break things down to a layman. More importantly, the visualization techniques and mnemonics you use in order to explain a key task one needs to perform in order to be successful in the shot. For example the fingernail being a claymore, front toward enemy. So many people try to explain an important step with all this minutia and can be confusing. Thank you TH, and crew!

      It comes down to the biomechanics of his grip. You almost need to just take his class and he shows you the physical differences in how grip allows proper fiction and leverage. Basically it means make sure your grip is stable. You have friction on the gun and your grip and you gain friction by leverage your grip by squeezing your elbows together

    • @jeffpraterJSF
      @jeffpraterJSF ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@ChipSpencer123 you can kinda try. If you have a bend in your elbows you can squeeze the shit out of the gun. If you have locked elbows you create a lever with your arms and shoulders that gives the gun more leverage over you. If you have bent elbows you can gain leverage on the gun by bringing your elbows closer together slightly. Like imagine opening a jar. The way you clasp your hands together closer to your chest is how you should be squeezing the gun.
