In summer it would be way cheaper once they produce local fish/veggies,when it's the season for it,also raising animals in a cold climate takes more energy/higher price for grain. With the economical crisis here in Lebanon, all these items together would cost 25$, something most of us now cannot afford anymore as we are not getting paid and our money is held hostage by the banks. I had a Filipino friend who told me about this video and told me their prices in Pesos. Buckwheat is said to be around 100 pesos. Pasta costs 100-120 Cheese depends on size, but a cheese on that size costs 150 Apples costs around 150 Canned fish (sardines) cost from 20 pesos to 100 depends on size but they're usually cheap Chicken legs costs 200 pesos Coke costs around 30-40 pesos (on that size) Sugar costs 100 pesos Bread around 50 pesos to 100 depends on bakery and brand Milk 60-100 but with powder its a lot cheaper Beer costs around 70 pesos I think from these costs estimate from my friend alone tells me something that they are much more higher than Russia.

Чтобы приготовить такой суп у меня уходит 2 доллара на курицу (из нее беру только грудки, остальные части идут в другие блюда), тофу - вот тофу дорогой 64 рубля (меньше доллара) за 120 грамм. Я беру 4 пачки тофу (480 грамм). И яйца из которых я делаю яичные блины. Яйца я беру крупные всегда категории С0 за 70 рублей (около доллара, чуть меньше доллара) за десяток. В суп у меня идет 6 яиц (меньше полдоллара). Зелень не покупаю, она вся своя с огорода: от базилика до петрушки. Я делаю легкий, вкусный ароматный суп за небольшие деньги. А вы платите 15 долларов за хлеб, с сомнительным соусом и тоненькой мясной прослойкой. Ужас. Вот почему я голодала в европе 8 дней. Есть нечего. Вся еда скверно пластмасовая. Просто, разговаривала с теми кто жил, был дольше меня в Европе. Я же не знаю, может я дура, спрашиваю у человека, который там по учебе жил 2 года: "мне померещилось или там правда еда говно?". Человек ответил: "знаешь, там (в европе) правда еда пластмассовая. Еда едой не пахнет. Картошка картошкой не пахнет, помидор не пахнет помидором. Там все плохо с едой. In Germany it would cost around 20€ (in LIDL, ALDI etc.) I think. I looked it up for REWE and it would cost me 24,02€ in total. If you compare it with other countries (GDP, PPP) it's still cheap, even tho it was cheaper before the pandemic and war.

A person in germany might earn 2-3 times the amount, but certain things, like rent, electricity, taxis, etc cost significantly more, closer to 10x the amount in Russia, while other things, like used cars, household appliances, electronics, etc cost only ~0-20% more in germany, which ends up being a cheaper purchase for germans in relation to their income.

I miss those prices after relocation to Armenia. Lots of food being imported from Russia with higher prices, quality of veggies during winter is awful while price is really high. And there are no cashbacks and discounts are low compared to Russia.

There's a guy I watch on TH-cam who traveled around Russia and went to a small shop and spent like $3 on some cigarettes and they were absolutely gobsmacked at the thought of having that sort of money to spend on cigarettes
You can get it cheaper in Russia too if you buy local brands, search for products on sale or use large chains loyalty system (they have special deals at certain times of the day for example)

I Heineken beer $2.09. There is a 6.25% tax on some of the items so I will exclude - it does not apply to meat, dairy, fruit vegetables just the beer, the coke etc. $$41.59 but my packages were generally larger - not sure if your fish was tuna.

So even though they make on avg. $500 per month, they can buy more with that $500 than you can buy in the US with $5,000. They are taxed like 13%, don't have to pay for Healthcare, somehow have a military all of nato can't beat, and have one of the fastest growing economies while being the most sanctioned country in all history with 16,500 sanctions. This is how you know their economy is better. Plus they have no national debt and a crap ton of resources. That's a country to look up to. The US is falling off a cliff.

Plus in most states, whenever you buy anything, you are taxed again 7-8% of the thing you bought. Then you have property tax which can vary state by state, but is an avg of 6% of your income. Jobs where you are an independent contractor, you make twice as much for this reason, but you get no benefits aka health insurance or anything else. Then there are other taxes small taxes. There are taxes that are already in the price of goods that you buy or use. Instead of charging the customer, the government will have extra taxes on products or stores, which then the products price will reflect. This is how oil is sold. The price is so high because the gov. Charges the company selling it extra taxes, pushing the price higher, and the tax burden essentially falls on the consumer. It's a sneaky way to tax people more. Invisible taxes. Then you have inflation. You lose 7% of your income to inflation every year. In otherwords, you need to make 7% more money every year In order to have the same purchasing power as you did the year before. Most people's wage does not increase. This is how Americans are robbed. Yes, their wage is high, but that is intentional. The more you make, the more the government can take from you. If you add all forms of taxes, and the money your employer subtracts from your paycheck to provide you with benefits. I saw a calculation that the government takes about 90% of all your income. In otherwards, 90% of your income ends up in the hands of the government. This is why the US government has so much money. It's a slavery farm. If 90% of my money is taken, its slavery to me. You left out the context. The average Russian in rural areas makes equivalent to about $600 a month. So $15 for about a days worth of food is outrageous. You will have used 3/4 of your monthly budget for food. What about housing or vehicle? Yeah you make $15 look like buys a lot but the people don’t make a lot of money to begin with. You left that out. Very deceptive.

За 8 долларов, здесь у нас в России, я могу в магазине купить три свежих куринных тушки, охлажденных. Разделать их. И приготовить миллиард блюд, начиная от чахохбили и заканчивая вашими сэндвичами. Докупив на оставшиеся 7 долларов разных ингридиентов. Кроме зелени, зелень мы не покупаем мы ее выращиваем всю сами, и морозим на зиму.
Самое простое, что я люблю иногда есть это куринный бульон на куринной грудке, с тофу, и яичными блинчиками. Чтобы приготовить такой суп у меня уходит 2 доллара на курицу (из нее беру только грудки, остальные части идут в другие блюда), тофу - вот тофу дорогой 64 рубля (меньше доллара) за 120 грамм. Я беру 4 пачки тофу (480 грамм). И яйца из которых я делаю яичные блины. Яйца я беру крупные всегда категории С0 за 70 рублей (около доллара, чуть меньше доллара) за десяток. В суп у меня идет 6 яиц (меньше полдоллара). Зелень не покупаю, она вся своя с огорода: от базилика до петрушки.
Я делаю легкий, вкусный ароматный суп за небольшие деньги. А вы платите 15 долларов за хлеб, с сомнительным соусом и тоненькой мясной прослойкой. Ужас. Вот почему я голодала в европе 8 дней. Есть нечего. Вся еда скверно пластмасовая. Просто, разговаривала с теми кто жил, был дольше меня в Европе. Я же не знаю, может я дура, спрашиваю у человека, который там по учебе жил 2 года: "мне померещилось или там правда еда говно?".
Человек ответил: "знаешь, там (в европе) правда еда пластмассовая. Еда едой не пахнет. Картошка картошкой не пахнет, помидор не пахнет помидором. Там все плохо с едой. Я за два года не нашел еды в европе.
Я отвечаю: знаешь, я была настолько голодная в европе на восьмой день, в дьюти фри на лайнере, взяла сосиски, почитала состав на упаковке, вроде ок. Взяла. Я эти сосиски несчастные принесла в компанию, только их ели все. Я увидела, насколько русские в европе голодные. В европе есть нечего. Кроме этих сосисок.

In the UK that's probably a good 20-30 quid. You'd have gotten them cheaper if you went to a smaller business aswell. There's a guy I watch on TH-cam who traveled around Russia and went to a small shop and spent like $3 on some cigarettes and they were absolutely gobsmacked at the thought of having that sort of money to spend on cigarettes
You can get it cheaper in Russia too if you buy local brands, search for products on sale or use large chains loyalty system (they have special deals at certain times of the day for example)

Here is what I would pay in Texas. 4 vine tomatoes $1.69, Barisal classic Pasta $1.99, 4 gala apples $4.58, 1 can Tuna starkist $1.48, chicken legs 3 lbs $8.60, 12 fl oz bottle of coke $$2.09, Sugar $5.19, milk $3.19 1/2 gallon, 1 dozen cage free organic Eggs $6.29, bread wonder bread large loaf $4.39. I Heineken beer $2.09. There is a 6.25% tax on some of the items so I will exclude - it does not apply to meat, dairy, fruit vegetables just the beer, the coke etc. $$41.59 but my packages were generally larger - not sure if your fish was tuna.

As for me I don't have a car, because public transport is 30-50 cents, taxi is 1,5$, medicine is free for everyone, basic food is 30$/ month, utilities is 30$ for total, home internet is 4$, mobile is cheap, low taxes, individual intrepreneur has 6% tax, maternity leave is 3 years, for children birth they are paying now 7000$ - 9000$ depends of it is the first or the second one. With the standard US pension of 3k, you'll be rich here or anywhere else in ex-USSR.

Basically in Russia, wages are abiut 10x smaller, but the total cost of living is 13x lower. So even though they make on avg. $500 per month, they can buy more with that $500 than you can buy in the US with $5,000.
They are taxed like 13%, don't have to pay for Healthcare, somehow have a military all of nato can't beat, and have one of the fastest growing economies while being the most sanctioned country in all history with 16,500 sanctions.
This is how you know their economy is better. Plus they have no national debt and a crap ton of resources.
That's a country to look up to. The US is falling off a cliff.
In fact, I deduct much more from my salary and these taxes go to medicine, the army, etc. We just don't see these deductions

Plus in most states, whenever you buy anything, you are taxed again 7-8% of the thing you bought. Then you have property tax which can vary state by state, but is an avg of 6% of your income.
Jobs where you are an independent contractor, you make twice as much for this reason, but you get no benefits aka health insurance or anything else. Then there are other taxes small taxes. There are taxes that are already in the price of goods that you buy or use. Instead of charging the customer, the government will have extra taxes on products or stores, which then the products price will reflect. This is how oil is sold. The price is so high because the gov. Charges the company selling it extra taxes, pushing the price higher, and the tax burden essentially falls on the consumer. It's a sneaky way to tax people more. Invisible taxes.
Then you have inflation. You lose 7% of your income to inflation every year. In otherwords, you need to make 7% more money every year In order to have the same purchasing power as you did the year before. Most people's wage does not increase.
This is how Americans are robbed. Yes, their wage is high, but that is intentional. The more you make, the more the government can take from you.
If you add all forms of taxes, and the money your employer subtracts from your paycheck to provide you with benefits. I saw a calculation that the government takes about 90% of all your income. In otherwards, 90% of your income ends up in the hands of the government.
This is why the US government has so much money. It's a slavery farm. If 90% of my money is taken, its slavery to me. Most people are just content being a slave.

Here in Russia they pay much less. 15 bucks is PROBABLY 1 hour of work for an American (or even less), in contrast to 6 hours for a Russian. This is a big difference. And that's not a fair comparison.

You left out the context. The average Russian in rural areas makes equivalent to about $600 a month. So $15 for about a days worth of food is outrageous. You will have used 3/4 of your monthly budget for food. What about housing or vehicle? Yeah you make $15 look like buys a lot but the people don’t make a lot of money to begin with. You left that out. Very deceptive.

Under your salary ( 1000rub = A$45=US$30)it would be equivalent to US$900 per month. By that standard, 90,000 rubles would equal western average earnings.

Food and existence in America is about 35 to 75% above all other nations in the world that’s why I said what it cost America to make an item. It cost Russia that 35 to 50% cheaper.
From Tunisia here: that will cost 45D (no Belgian beer so used Heinekken) it came up to a total of 45.2Dinars (14.87 usd) with the caveat that in Tunisia we've been having a shortage of milk and the cheapest kind of milk is rarely found, the only reliable option to buy milk is the expensive one which would drive the total to 46.5Dinars (15.30USD) and the other caveat is we don't have sugar in that form here, it's either in packets or in cubes (I used the cubes price which is cheaper but definetly will have to crush it if you're going to use it for baking or stuff like that).
FYI the average monthly wage in tunisia is 400-500USD.
