I have a school counseling interview tomorrow and I am so nervous. Thank you so much for your advice. Love that you mentioned taking notes during an interview.
I'm so glad I found your channel! I just applied for my first counseling position and am awaiting that potential interview call/email. These were all great pointers.
I love your videos and your enthusiasm! I'm so glad I found you on TH-cam! Thank you for sharing your wisdom with others :) I interview soon so we will see how this all plays out for me :)
Oh wow! I remember doing #2 when I moved to a new county. I always have questions for them too! 😂 These are truly great tips. Interviewers like to know that you know about where you want to work.
Thank you for posting this! I am a school counseling graduate student and am so happy I have found your channel. It’s also awesome seeing another guy in the field. Do you have an Instagram?
Hi Suzie! Usually school districts post a salary scale (and even charter schools too). I would avoid discussing pay in an interview. Great question though!
@@counselingwithmrb Thank you. I was actually offered a position 2 days ago and I accepted. I've worked as a counslor for 7 years and this will still be a huge change and challenge. But your video did help with the interview.
The hand shake thing is so awkward! I usually like to make a joke to acknowledge why I'm not shaking hands "no handshakes during covid right?" it's just so awkward 😩
Thankfully when I interviewed for my role last year, my school leader didn’t even reach out to shake hands. We simply waved at the end of the interview. But I understand about the awkwardness☺️👋🏾
This is so helpful! I absolutely love your channel and your tips. You help me feel calm and centered. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
You got this! Believe in yourself 🎉🎉🎉

Yea I take notes all the time especially when they ask me questions with multiple parts. Good luck! And let me know when you get hired!
Awesome Tips! Thanks Mr. Burnett
Thank you!😊

Thank you! Do you have an interview coming up?
Glad I found you! Thanks for all the tips!
Thank you! ☺️
I’m still with you. Being me is what always got me the job!
And yes! Personality goes a long way in an interview!

Thank you! I have friends who work in HR and I’ve learned a lot from them.

Well I’m here when you need it! Thanks ☺️

Hi Cleno! I’m so glad to hear it. Thanks for watching and for joining the Learning Lab! Have you been able to use any of the resources yet?
@@counselingwithmrb Not yet but I will.
Great tips!!!! I wish I had found this video two months ago.
Thank you! Are you working as a counselor currently?☺️
I definitely think because sometimes those “big words” can confuse you. Well, at least me. 😫🤣 These are truly amazing tips.
Thank you! And yes, I ALWAYS ask the SAME interview questions. I made a video about it. I’ll share it Monday!
👍👍👍
Thanks for watching!
🙎🏾♀️thanks, interview season is upon us 😊

Hi Zach! Awesome. I’m here if you have any questions. But yes my Instagram is @Counselingwithmrb. I’m really active on my IG too!
When and how do you ask about pay? Seems ridiculous to me there's so much issue with this question as it's essential to know.

😳
Hoping you have great interviews! 🥳
