Awesome where did you go? Kagoshima is amazing and don’t forget Kumamoto 😀 If you can rent a car for a few days that will take you to many places most won’t go to 😉
I live in Kagoshima. Its nice that you could get to Sakurajima. Too bad the weather wasn't the best. Places you could visit are: - the Satsuma Cut Glass atelier near Iso Beach - Chiran Peace Museum (many kamikaze pikots left from nearby) - Ibusuki sand baths
Cool video. I was in Kagoshima last October and we visited where they filmed a scene from the James Bond movie, You Only Live Twice. Also visited the Chiran Peace Museum for Kamikaze Pilots, very interesting museum. I’ll be back in Kagoshima this November.
Thank you for coming to Kagoshima! I’m glad to hear that you enjoyed your time here! Since there are fewer opportunities to use credit cards or SUICA in Kagoshima, I imagine there were many situations where cash was needed. Did you find it inconvenient?
We loved it there!! Honestly we didn’t experience fewer opportunities where we had to pay cash instead of credit card. And extending this to the whole island of Kyushu, we could use our credit card almost everywhere! Something that has definitely changed the last few years.
@@yesandexplore Thank you for your kind reply. I’m so glad to hear that you had a comfortable trip! I actually moved here from Tokyo, and I was surprised to find that the IC card I used in the Kanto region couldn’t be used on the Kagoshima City trams. That’s why I was curious about how you found things during your travels. Thanks! :)
From what I remember Kagoshima means basket island. Been there once when I was stationed onboard a ship. Very interesting video.
Thanks!! You must have seen many places while being stationed on your ship? Did you vist many places in Japan?
just came back from japan a month ago and after watching this, kagoshima definitely are on my list for my next visit..

Nice video. This Arimura Larva Observation Deck only accessible by car or is there any public bus?
Thank you! Only way is by car as there are no public busses going there.
@@yesandexplore Maybe see could get a taxi driver to bring us around.
Nice impression of this region. Pity for the weather but interesting 👍
Yeah rain could have been sun but nonetheless still fun 👍🏽
