Most of your video's are all about the journey, not the destination. It's relaxing and joyful to watch. But it would be nice if you sometimes can focus a bit more on the destination as well. I bet there are several "hidden gems" as you called it, out there. Like small mountain villages or a remote island to explore. Maybe also include cheapest option to your destination, not everyone is swimming in "Kuga dollars" :P Anyways, keep up what your doing I bet soon you will know every traintrack, ferry or bus-stop in Japan ;)
I am a disabled American in Western North Carolina, I am in a hospital bed most of the time because of an artificial heart valve etcetera. Your wonderful channel allows me to travel around the world from my room. Thank you and God bless you for your friendly videos and light hearted humorous commentary.😊😊😊
Thank you for sharing your journey’s with us. One of my greatest wishes was to be able to travel more once my children grew up and left home. Unfortunately my plans will never be fulfilled due to ill health, but I am able to travel through your eyes. Your videos bring so much comfort 🙂
Please don't hate me, but it's "journeys." No apostrophe in plurals. 😛 And I am sorry for your ill heallth. 😟 I am in the same boat, travel-wise. No funds or travel companions, and severe depression and anxiety definitely makes even just existing very difficult at times.
@@englishatheart Oops!…Thank you for pointing out my mistake , I could never hate someone for such a small thing as helping me by pointing out my mistakes. I wish you well 🙂
@@englishatheartHello, I came across your comment but I wholeheartedly recommend solo traveling once you get your funds issue behind you. Once you do it just once you will open up the whole world and your anxiety will be vastly reduced! Go for it!
"Why am I dressed like a mannequin in a shop window?" He says no words but still manages to be fun and silly. Thank you for making these videos. The vibes are immaculate.
This is the kind of room I thought was standard for a solo passenger, if there were no fridge. Since watching Kuga's Travel and Solo Travel Japan, I know better.
You are amazing! I love your videos so much, especially the ones with the cool Japanese trains. They make me want to go to Japan and see them for myself. You are the best Shinkansen fan ever, and I am one too! 🚅🇯🇵😍
Thank you for posting this. What beautiful ocean water in southern Japan! Your cabin looked very comfortable. The wooden container that held the teacup, saucer, and tea reminded me of wooden boxes used to hold sewing and embroidery in the US.
Thanks for another informative, beautifully produced video. I love that you are never the subject of the travelogue, the journey and the eventual destination are what counts. You deserve many more viewers and I hope that will eventually be what happens as more people discover your fine work.
Truly awesome mr kuga san. I can't physically be in nihon but your videos are the way for me to understand what nihon is like in terms of public transit services on the shinkansen🚅🚆, the ⛴️ ferries etc.... , the different towns and villages and the awesome foods. If i was walking in nihon, i wouldn't have to worry about being thirsty or hungry because there are vending machines everywhere. Absolutely superb. Safe travels mr kuga san and blessings to all the people of nihon🙏📿✝️⛪️🤲🇯🇵
Clickbait on a face-reveal Kuga-san?! 😆 Thanks as always! It's weird to think of you having an empty contacts list when you have 300,000 people who think you're pretty cool 😎
Interesting how the ferry is so new but seems much more simple compared to some of the other ferries you have been on. I like how they expected you to survive on one tea-bag for the whole journey and speed-eat in 30 minutes! Great vid though, thank you!
My thoughts .. Diet Tea you only get one. I did not feel this ferry was up to the same standard as all your other journies. Water was definitely blue tho. Bushyboy Oz.
I've watched almost your videos. And I'm always impressed with everything in your videos. Even I paused and rewatched them. Feeling thankfully for your videos because I have virtual trip to many breathtaking places around the world. SUPER THANKS!
I took it once from Zeebrugge (Belgium) to Dover and never felt so nauseous which never happenend on regular boat or any other means of transportation for that matter. And the sea was calm, I add. Never understood the reason but never took it again !😊
Thank you for sharing!! I love the route but I have completed all the stops in several parts because I don't have a looooong holidays. The new Marix Line ferry looks great! I want to travel with it again.
Even though I can barely string together four or five words in Japanese, reading katakana always makes me feel like a language genius!! At 2:02 … ku-ii-n koo-ra-ru ku-ro-su (クイーンコーラルクロス) = Queen Coral Cross!!
Great trip, finally you visiting Okinawa. Something interesting about Ferry from Japan's main islands to Okinawa is the vehicle deck which usually loaded with vehicle, but on this route it's loaded by containers. I don't know the size of those containers, but looks like it's about 20 ft or even less, only for Japan Domestic Usage. Nice room by the way, and yeah you met jet foil ship.
You are too hilarious!..."A great homage to what my contacts list looks like"! :) Just remember, it isn't the number of contacts you have, it's the quality of those contacts!
I like the whale shark at Okinawa Aquarium. There was a whale shark in Osaka Kaiyukan in 1995 to 1997 which I visited a few times. I'd love to dive with a whale shark.
Kuga-San, does a passenger ferry travel from Tokyo to Okinawa? One time when I lived in Japan, I stayed several days in Kumejima (an island near Okinawa). It was beautiful, with white sand beaches. Some of the food was more like Taiwanese cuisine than Japanese cuisine. You may want to visit there sometime!
04:58 I thought this was a huge tank of some kind hahaha, then realized it was not on the floor but the desk and was actually a quite normal sized kettle.
I'm so inspired to vlog on a ship like you, but I don't have enough money. ha ha ha finally I made a vlog inside a ship-shaped hotel. quite similar. ha ha.
Even in a Japanese vending machine, Pocky there is still cheaper than in the US. 😡 edit: Wow, I wish you could've spent more time exploring Okinawa! I really want to visit there someday and try fresh umibudo!
The cabin is disappointing, but at least it's private, and for only one night. I've had worse, but not much worse. I'd love to take a ferry to Okinawa next time I visit Japan.
Embankment is not an English word. I too am disabled and love your travels. If you would like to send me your script I would be truly delighted to give it a look and offer any suggestions for the English used. By the way I don’t know a single word of Japanese so this is no criticism. :-)
What provision is there on these ferries for passengers who don't read Japanese? I probably wouldn't be able to complete the boarding pass unaided, so is there someone to help? Also, I like washlet toilets, but can't read all the kanji. Are instructions for washer, AC, TV remote available in English?
Thanks for watching as always!

Useless expensive for a very small and ordinary room dude ...

Seems really expensive for the room they provided.

"THE SHIP IS FLOATING!"
Yes, Kuga, boats and ships tend to do that. lol

What a beautiful video! Thank you for this! Love the atmosphere!
Love the Kagoshima trams to start. You had a cosy room. Such blue clear water. Thankyou Kuga San
"The ship is floating." Well, yeah, I sure hope it is. Otherwise it would be sinking. 😝
Love the floating Jetfoil
I like the shredded seaweed on the rice.
Kuga when you said you had never before travelled to Okinawa I was surprised :)

KTJ! Your narration is the best! Always makes me smile
Omg Kuga, that water was so blue and clear, thank you for taking me all over Japan, it's so beautiful! 👀👍👌🤩😎😍🥰
Interesting how the ferry is so new but seems much more simple compared to some of the other ferries you have been on. I like how they expected you to survive on one tea-bag for the whole journey and speed-eat in 30 minutes! Great vid though, thank you!
As a fast eater, that part would be fine for me. But, as tea lover, I would definitely need more than one bag. 😂
My thoughts .. Diet Tea you only get one. I did not feel this ferry was up to the same standard as all your other journies. Water was definitely blue tho. Bushyboy Oz.
You also had to find the tea to begin with!
That aquarium looked awesome. Thank you for bringing us along on your journey.

Thank you so much for another wonderful video, Kuga! 👍
Fabulous video, thank you my Japanese friend for sharing with us here in 🇬🇧🙏
Visiting Okinawa in November, can’t wait! ❤
That hydrofoil boat you spotted seemed really fun. Would be cool to see your perspective going for a ride on it!
I took it once from Zeebrugge (Belgium) to Dover and never felt so nauseous which never happenend on regular boat or any other means of transportation for that matter. And the sea was calm, I add. Never understood the reason but never took it again !😊
Your comments are the funniest, a fridge packed with emptiness...haaha
Aloha from Hawaii.
Thank you for sharing!! I love the route but I have completed all the stops in several parts because I don't have a looooong holidays. The new Marix Line ferry looks great! I want to travel with it again.
I love your ferry videos 💕 this one was extra fun!
Love the channel! This was a wonderful trip, I love seeing a glimpse of the other islands visited by the ferry. Thanks!
"Packed with emptiness"
You make me laugh
🤣😆
Very good video, I learned a lotted am interested in learning more about Amami Oshima Island.
Thank You
Very beautiful 🎉
I read JAL as jail and thought, "fair comparison to a ferry ride." 😅 I really need to sleep 😂
Even though I can barely string together four or five words in Japanese, reading katakana always makes me feel like a language genius!! At 2:02 … ku-ii-n koo-ra-ru ku-ro-su (クイーンコーラルクロス) = Queen Coral Cross!!
At 9:03, re-su-to-ra-n (レストラン) = restaurant!!
Ha ha, 9:27 is いただきます! I’ve been studying!!

Glad you had fun... The Ferry ride looks really comfortable and spacious. :D
Great ferry and great trip...I love it
Kuga: The ship is floating. The ship is floating.
Me: I should bloody hope so!
If that's the second nicest room on the ferry, then I'd hate to see the other rooms. A real broom closet.
And so expensive 😬
great commentary to a nice journey, thanks Kuga
I always enjoy your adventures.
Kuga San, enjoyed video as usual! With that room you ve been in the lap of luxury! Ha ha! Best wishes from Arizona.🎉
I realy want to visit Okinawa one day!!! It looks so stunning 🥰😍
Don't be scared! I wanna go to that aquarium!!
Please more travelling in and around Okinawa ,not just the city but small village too....
My friend, I don't think you room was big enough. To change your mind in. Ha ha! Have a great day!

That "floating ship" looks like Boeing 929 Jetfoil, I do heard Japan has quite a lot of these
Thanks for sharing... My dream of coming to your country 🥰
Kuga San, there is no denying that Japan is a beautiful country.
I'm new to your channel. Thanks for sharing your travel vlogs with us. I liked and subscribed 😐

22:46 Beetlejuice!😂
The exterior signage at the embarkation terminal seemed very poor (?). What a fun trip, though!
I like the whale shark at Okinawa Aquarium. There was a whale shark in Osaka Kaiyukan in 1995 to 1997 which I visited a few times. I'd love to dive with a whale shark.
this was awesome!! I am forecasting a video on the flying ferry!?!?

Nice Trip
Will visit Okinawa in June but didn’t know about the ferry. Already booked flights. Ferry experience would have been an adventure to itself.
The "flying ship" is a type of hydrofoil ship so the ship is pushed off the water to move faster. 😃
Thanks!
Wow, thanks Hakim!🤝
I don't consder that a deluxe room. Quite small.
Very beautiful 😍
“The Holy Trinity”. 😂😂😂😂

The floating ship is a hydrofoil, though you probably know that.
Boy I hope they didn’t go to overboard with the tea. 😂
Hey Kuga! The color of the ocean was amazing! Where did your flight take you? Thanks for another great vid bro.
21:49 "This is my first time in Okinawa." Did you try Okinawa seafood? I visited Okinawa ten years ago. I loved the seafood there! 😃
DONE.
Even in a Japanese vending machine, Pocky there is still cheaper than in the US. 😡
edit: Wow, I wish you could've spent more time exploring Okinawa! I really want to visit there someday and try fresh umibudo!
Such a beautiful video! Also, maybe dumb question, but could you also comment on whether foreigner and local prices are different?
9:35 OOH! HYDROFOIL!
The cabin is disappointing, but at least it's private, and for only one night. I've had worse, but not much worse. I'd love to take a ferry to Okinawa next time I visit Japan.
Really small room for $208...would think the bed would be a little more than a thin mattress too, for that price.
The color of the ocean was incredible. You said there was a special word for it, in Japanese I assume?
Embankment is not an English word. I too am disabled and love your travels. If you would like to send me your script I would be truly delighted to give it a look and offer any suggestions for the English used. By the way I don’t know a single word of Japanese so this is no criticism. :-)

Just one question, is there a reason for travelers having to do their own bed so often ?
