I've been enjoying the videos, you should do one on ISTA so you can do trouble shooting once you put some miles on the car.

The Cerakote Type C is good for over 1500°F. Still, probably a better and simpler method would be to Skip CeraKote, and just spiral wrap those downpipes with header heatwrap (which is designed for exactly what you’re trying to do). Personally I think a good heatwrap job looks pretty badass. But, if you like the look of the Cerakote, and MUST spray, Harbor Freight sells a $20 mini sandblaster that hooks up to a pancake compressor. I use it for titanium tubes before I Type C Cerakote them. Use 80 grit garnet media (from Kramazon) for a flawless paint prep finish. You can capture the sprayed garnet, and reuse it with the help of a homemade cardboard blast box. Just be sure to soak parts in acetone for at least 20 minutes BEFORE blasting. Wear rubber gloves when handling and hanging cleaned parts. Do NOT slather the Cerakote on. THIN FULL CIATS. If you dust A sprayed part with a heat gun, you can handle it in 15 minutes. Assembly in 24 hours, full cure in 5 days or less. 👍🏼

How much cerakote did you end up using? Looking at doing the same thing myself and wondering if I should buy the 4 or 16oz. How are you liking the catless dps? How’s the sound with stock exhaust?

You can coat with 4oz, but it will use all of it, so no room for error. Sound is much louder than stock, but not too loud for daily driving. I am enjoying it for sure.

Right on, thanks for the response. watching your videos gave me the confidence to do the exact same setup myself, glad to see good N63 content. Keep it up 👍🏼

Do you get a lot of smoke out exhaust? I went catless and it smells very bad. Can’t even lower the window while driving. Is this normal? Or maybe something going wrong? I also have a stage 2 tune

Did you try their "CEL delete kit"? I am tuned but as you may know tunes only do a soft delete.

No, I just let the JB4 delete on startup.

@@splittlive ah I see. That still won't pass emissions inspection :/ thanks though!

Correct if you need to pass emissions add back in the MAF sensor, you can get the pipe with connector at Spectre.com.

It’s amazing how CeraKote has managed to duplicate the smell of s well doused urinal puck with their Type C product line.

How about a reliability vid and the reality if you just take care of the car. Thanks
