You started off with the wrong setting of 20A charging. You should have first change the setting to 32A and then plug the cable and start the charge.
Aahh man where were you when I tested the car hahaha now I know for future thanks man I really do appreciate it a lot. And thanks for watching.
Great video, awesome journey you just proved Motoring Journalists wrong and South Africa is ready for electric cars
Yeaaaah man thanks a mil Love the enthusiasm hehe
Loved the video, I was one of the people who thought you couldn't road trip an electric car in our country, you've just shown me you can, provided there are enough charging stations.
I'd like to do an experiment if it's feasible to be an Uber driver in South Africa using an i4 e35xdrive,
Aahhh I am glad I could help you out here with this video. HHmm if I can get my hands on one I actually think that will be an awesome IDEA. Thank you very much for your support - I really appreciate it.
Nice brother
Hi Justin how much did you spend on the charger for the all trip
Hi Booker - check at the end of the video there is a costing slide for the whole trip.
Lekker
Great video, many thanks Justin!👌
Awesome dankie Daniel :-) en net n groot plesier
Awesome 👏🏾 thanks man I like this EV gedagtes… Ok my question is you can charge your phone while playing game or so ni so can you not charge a EV while driving like get a lekker generator on a trailer hook them up to your towbar and when you do a Cape Town to Joberg drive just turn the geni on and plug in your car charger and just Gooi 😂😹but is it possible to charge an EV while on the go please check that out and let us know
Awesome thank you very much for the support and watching the video hehe. Hahaha the Generator kind of defeats the purpose lol, but I get you also make that Joke from time to time with my clients lol. Definitely something I would do haha should actually try it out lol., And yeah look when you driving in town and use the brakes a lot then the car does actually regenerate power back into the battery so in town you get way better efficiency than driving on a long distance - complete opposite of ICE engines
Justin, was the car faster after charging at the Audi charging station? lol!!!
Hahahaha no, but it made the Audi charger charge quicker lol
Brother u should do a video of the trade in home , 7 hours petrol forever brother !
Hahaha I did actually, but i only do BMW's hahaha
What is the difference between ac and dc
AC Alternating current comes through wavy and not constant like DC Direct current so AC charges slower than DC
What a faff I do a 1700km in a day twice a year we could not face waiting around for that charging, diesel for me 2 quick top ups.
Apologies for the late reply. Soo 1700km only twice a year is not that bad and also depends on where you are going. you can do the trip if properly planned in a lot less time though and with fast chargers - remember some chargers charge what you need in 30 minutes or less and that is basically in less time you spend when getting lunch etc. so just planned you can do it in almost the same time. all depends on the destination though.
