- BMW X5 has fast become the benchmark by which other mid-size SUVs are judged. With its premium image and luxurious features, the X5 is a popular choice for many households.
Our test unit is the X5 M50d with power output of 280kw. This was the third generation X5 code name (F15) which replaced the popular (E70). The X5 continued to be a great success till it was replaced the 2019 (G05).

Impressive review!! awesome car... please tell us how does it drive by actually driving it too, and then your views about the sound systems B&O vs HK :)
Firstly thank you for the support,so I can tell you the car is brilliant. It drives like an m-car should.I have owned the 3 series and came to the conclusion that I have never experienced a BMW until driving the X5. I would recommend the car and if you can get the 50D or 50I do. I know the 30D is better fuel economy but that extra power is worth the extra money. The BnO sound is out of this world, very powerful and has great setting. I know that with the current G05 they have moved to the Bouwer n Wilkinson still to sample it. But overall it's a brilliant car, it's unfortunate that we gave it back. But stay tuned for the review and test drive of the G05. But if you ask me, if you not looking for new Tech I would still buy the F15👌 and because as mentioned it did not have an LCI so it has retained its value. I maybe wrong but the 3series I had is a bit smaller so I actually had the HnK I found it to be more powerful than the BnO maybe it could be that the X5 is bigger,they both sound great I think though the BnO has more settings and maybe better outputs.
@@LOVDRV Thanks so much for your detailed response, the M50D F15 is actually what im looking into upgrading to... so also loving good music I really wanted some advice about the sound system... some said the H&K is good enough too... Will wait for your other reviews in the meantime
Morning just to let you know I'm still trying to get a BMW that would work with us, this thing it's a bit hard for some of us, but once we find one we will bring the review, funny I saw a F15 with Harmon kardon which I want to test but love it. I regret selling this X5 🙈😂 hope to get another one. But again because of certain things I love about the F15 I would buy it over the new G05
Mfanas hope you are good. I managed to sample HK yesterday, it's enough I don't think you would have issues. It sounds good, not as powerful as the B&O but good, it's hard to find one with the BnO bit both are good. Good luck👊
