Dropped poco f4 from 18feet high.. luckily no dmg on screen and no hardware issues..bt back panel glass and side metal got dent hole and broken..service center said to change entire display panel which comes with body which costs 50% phone rate...no option for fixing side panel alone in this phone...repairs too much in this phone..thumbs down
My poco f4 got water damaged.. it was in warranty as water damage is not covered in. I would suggest asap open the back panel and dry it to save it, u can do it manually or u can go to local repair centre otherwise it will get worse eventually. because water damage is not covered in warranty so don't think of it.
It has water gaskets by the power button/volume keys and charger port, sim reader etc. So I would say it is splash proof, but it doesn't have gaskets around the connectors on the inside and so forth, so I would not dunk it in water and expect it to survive in a pool etc.
Can u tell us more about back panel replacement? Like Where exactly to apply the adhesive and whether the back plate attachment depends only on adhesive or there are matching male female patterns to keep the panel attached?

I need a little HELP! I accidentally poked my Poco F4 with my sim ejector tool into the mic hole besides sim tray. Can it affect the quality of mic? Or tampered the water resistance? And what if I mistakenly poke the uppper mic as well? I felt like there was mesh inside so, Is there any? If there was then did I tear it down? Kindly clarify these doubts.

There's actually only one LED light underneath which is the one you see light up. The rest of the slot or space they made it to defuse the light. So the light spreads etc.
My poco f4 was in authorised servicing center after that back panel kind of risen little above adges they applied adhesive too. Is this normal after opening once and applying adhesive? scared of water entering from back of the frames.
Waiting for this teardown video, the back panel and camera housing can actually be separated? mine I think making squeaking sound if you pressed the back in the middle of the camera housing quite annoying, have you encounter similar issue if so how you overcome, thanks
Yes, a portion of the camera bezel is held on with adhesive and the smaller square portion has 4 Phillips screws on the back which can be removed to free that portion. The glass lens cover itself is held on with adhesive, so if you needed to replace that you would be able to just heat it up and pry the glass part off. As for the squeaking, I have not had the same issue on this one, so might just be one of those screws might be loose or maybe the adhesive is loose not sure.
So i accidentally dropped this phone into a bucket of water, after that the touchscreen became funky. I decided to turn it off and put it on rice 12 h later when i tried to game on it i noticed some mist forming on the camera glass and the screen brightness flickering, i quickly turned it off and put it on rice once again for 12h per day for 3 days since i had to use it. Now I'm not seeing the mist but the earphones dongle doesn't get detected unless i restarted it. I cant get it repaired for another 3 weeks because i needed it at this time. This has been going for 2 weeks, Am i good😢😢?
the more you use it the higher chance of it shorting and rendering the phone unusable. If your board shorts, you will not be able to use it again. You will need to take it apart, disconnect the battery, dry out any water inside, brush off all corrosion around chips and connectors with a small brush like a toothbrush, then re assemble.

Just finished disassembling and cleaning my phone with IPA, now everything works fine and on my phone the main camera got glued into the frame, thus i cant get it off when cleaning. And probably some dirty stuff gets inside the lens. Now theres a residue on the main camera that i cant get it off, probably have to soak it on IPA again but i already put it back together. I found some corrosion behind the screen and around the simcard area, motherboard looks clean. Either Way thanks for the guide :)

depends if they are an authorized repair center for poco. If so, then they will use an original display. Not sure if they will only change display or frame too, but usually its a display and frame combo.

Hello i rooted my f4, it's been 15 months, already had battery capacity too low, and a little overheat for idling, Does repasting with artic mx6 (cpu cooler) works, and do i need to replace the adhesive everytime you open it?
Can you please tell me if the motherboard quality looked good enough, average, below average, or "born to failure" in your opinion :c? The reason I ask is that Poco phones have this fame of having very cheap prone-to-fail parts because of the cheap materials and that, that's the reason they only last a few days/weeks/months and then die u.u and I'm not rich, quite the opposite and 400dlls are more than a year worth of saving up for me so I've been wanting to buy my first brand new phone with the greatest performance and display but at the most affordable price there is and the F4 suits that nicely :c... Hi, its not a stupid question :). Between those two phones no it would not be possible because the connectors are different. But on some phones, if the connector for the battery is the same, and the size of the battery fits the compartment, it's possible.

Why does mobile manufacturer always sandwich the processor in between display and mother board and the heat sink also under the battery....if they simply put the processor and heat sink to the back side , then the device may give better performance,Heat management and wilk be good for cooling fans
I think because the heat is more effectively exhausted through the frame itself and out the front of the phone. Most people hold the phone in their hands so the back would most of the time be covered as well so wouldn't offer a good exhaust for the heat to escape. Also they try to remove some of the heat from the battery that is generated, thus the reason the vapor chamber or heat pipes are ran underneath the battery as well.
@@PBKreviews Please tell me one more thing: there was a thermal pad on the cooling next to the thermal paste, and on other phones (for example, Poco F3) there is no thermal pad, that's the question: this thermal pad affects heat dissipation for the better or vice versa for the worse and without it it would be better and the smartphone would be cooled better ???
26 seconds to power on and to the lock screen for a brand new phone is slow, I wouldn't like to think how much more slower it would be after a year of usage 🥶

Hi, you will be fine. Both the mic and filter are seated above the hole so they wont get damaged.

Just the top portion screws since you will need access to disconnecting the battery cable from the main board and need to remove the top cover.

Not sure it would probably take long term use from multiple people to determine if the board is better but so far I have not herd complaints.

Why does mobile manufacturer always sandwich the processor in between display and mother board and the heat sink also under the battery....if they simply put the processor and heat sink to the back side , then the device may give better performance,Heat management and wilk be good for cooling fans
I think because the heat is more effectively exhausted through the frame itself and out the front of the phone. Most people hold the phone in their hands so the back would most of the time be covered as well so wouldn't offer a good exhaust for the heat to escape. Also they try to remove some of the heat from the battery that is generated, thus the reason the vapor chamber or heat pipes are ran underneath the battery as well.

Seems to be a solid devices, I would say yes.
26 seconds to power on and to the lock screen for a brand new phone is slow, I wouldn't like to think how much more slower it would be after a year of usage 🥶
