    I'm excited to see the phones that will Poco will make after 10yrs base on this phones. I know that air triggers are better than pop-up triggers but, considering they can put finger print censor on the power button makes me thing that in the future. They can make a phone that has pop-up triggers and can also act as air triggers. And it's good that Poco did something about the heating issues of the phone. It's not perfect it has flaws, but considering they made the heat go away under 2 or 3 mins of resting the phone is a good job. Snap dragon 8 gen 1 is a powerful but easily gets hot, while dimensity 8100 is almost warm or totally no heat when gaming, really appreciate what Poco did for the chipset and hopefully in future snap dragon do something about the heating issues on there chipset but not dropping the quality of it. 🙂👍

    Kinda sad to see that despite the massive vapor chambers in this phone, it still can't effectively dissipate the heat generated by the 8 gen 1. The chambers here are much much larger than those in the snap 865 phones. Would be interesting to see if the 8+ gen 1 chips would do significantly better with a similar cooling solution.

    • @bumbeelegends7018
      @bumbeelegends7018 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Same thinking bro its will be more better with sd 865 with this cooling system

    • @PBKreviews
      @PBKreviews  2 ปีที่แล้ว +28

      I would have thought the cooling would be really good but I haven't tested the device myself to really know so I will take you're word for it. With the aluminum frame, dual vapor chamber and all that thermal paste I'm surprised it still has trouble. Are you sure its over heating or are you just feeling the heat on the phone? Because if the phone is feeling hot, it could just be a sign that it is effectively transferring heat from inside to out and doing its job.

    • @somayough
      @somayough 2 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      @@PBKreviews I don't own the phone personally, but from reviews it's obvious that the 8 gen 1 produces enough heat to overwhelm the cooling solution. I thought the metal chassis and the vapor chambers would be enough to keep the 8 gen 1 at bay as well. For Genshin impact, the F3 GT has a higher average FPS vs the F4 GT over 20 minutes of gameplay because the 8 gen 1 throttles hard once overheated. For now, I'm just looking forward to a phone with the D8100 and a premium metal-glass sandwich build. Hope to see your vid on it once it comes out!

    • @edmargajeles9623
      @edmargajeles9623 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      The heat you feel on the phone is coming from inside, it dissipates heat faster away from the chipset thats why the cooling system is effective. You can notice the temperature is decreasing so fast.

But yesterday I went to the Mi Store to verify the lateral mic in other Poco F4 GT and for my surprise the lateral mic didn't work either. We did the test with the voice recorder app, covering the main mic and the top mic, and when we talk just with the lateral mic the app doesnt detect any noise. So, we try with the CIT menu of Xiaomi to test this mic and for my sorprise the mic worked. The Mi Store workers couldnt give me an answer, they don't know how to make the microphone work. Do You know how this microphone work? I tried turning the cell in a lateral position, on call, but this doesnt work. Sorry for the long comment.....

    I wonder if the processor heats up due to it being placed below the ram preveting effective cooling no matter how good the thermals are. Phones that don't heat up much have the processor and ram next to each other and thermal paste on both of them. It looks like only ram is getting cooled here.

    • @PBKreviews
      @PBKreviews  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Usually stacked ram over processor offer better/faster performance. Not sure about the heat compared to side by side but i would assume would require better cooling.

    So, no proximity sensor again.... Won't buy it just for that

    • @PBKreviews
      @PBKreviews  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes it has a proximity sensor, you can see it @7:12 in the video where I show the back of it where the gold contacts touch the motherboard to make a connection.

    •  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@PBKreviews that's what intrigued me the most. In official specs, there's no proximity sensor. In firmware, it's referred to as a virtual proximity sensor that uses the front camera. So why does it have a proximity sensor if it's not in use? It doesn't make sense. Amazing teardown by the way!

      As long as the phones have good cooling, there shouldn't be any problems.

    That's an stainless steel heat sink which is not effective from tests the phone overheats.

    • @PBKreviews
      @PBKreviews  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I believe it's a stainless steel vapor chamber for the main and a copper vapor chamber for the sub board/charging.

      @@PBKreviews mistake pbk I actually wanted saying stainless steel,It's very ineffective. Proof Is try the wildlife extreme stress test in the 3dmark and before reaching loop 20 it would stop and say phone too hot.

      Yup, I've herd from a few others that heat is still a problem with it.

    • @PBKreviews
      @PBKreviews  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yep, but keep in mind, just because you feel it heating up that doesn't mean its overheating. The job of the VC and graphite inside is to transfer the heat to the outside of the phone as best and quick as possible.

      You're welcome. I have auto translate enabled, you would need to click on the settings gear icon and select watch language you want translated to for the captioning. If its not there, then it probably isn't available.
