She is intriguing. So, Anakin is indeed the "Chosen One" who will bring balance to the Force as he will be the one to battle Abeloth; this is why Anakin exists in the world between worlds or will Luke fight her?

This is what makes Abeloth being trapped on Peridea so intriguing. The Dathomiri Witches originated there, so essentially they're worshipping and getting their power from a goddess, but as this goddess wakes up and her truly malevolent intentions become apparent, even the Witches wish to flee from her.
Abeloth would definitely be a living abomination of the force similar to Darth Nihilus and Darth Sion, but on a much grander scale.
Just like how Yaujta’s view Praetorians as abominations to their own kind, even going so far as to not claim their skulls and spines as trophies. The force definitely see something such as Abeloth to be a disgust rather than just another entity or individual that uses the force.
Since the force itself didn’t create Abeloth, she created herself.
I also recognize why the force would reject her just like how the force lashed out against Plagueis when he tried to use the force in ways he was never meant to do. Almost creating and restoring lives whenever he saw fit which is something the force fought against until creating the Chosen One.

There are some interesting parallels between Anakin and Abeloth. She became what she is, because she didn't want to leave her family (father, daughter, son) and Anakin fell because he was scared of losing Padmé and the babies (spouse, daughter and son). So he would be able to understand that part of her, the fear of loss of a loved one. Or several loved ones.
He found redemption and balance thanks to his son. Maybe Abeloth will find peace (or her end) thanks to her daughter in the form of Ahsoka?
Will the SW-writers go that deep into the metaphysical and Force philosophy?
Let's hope so. Filoni and Favreau seem to be laying the groundwork for such a thing.

I always thought that Qui-Gon as a believer of the living force, wouldn't see the chosen one as just a tool for the Jedi to have control over the force, but as someone who will really bring the force at balance, and seeing how Anaking not only learned to become one with the force but to freely roam and manipulate the world between worlds, that I realize, his fate as the chosen one goes beyond defeating Palpatine, but defeat a creature that even The Force itself despises and that leeches from it as a parasite, it would be really awesome to see the writers going this deep tbh

@@46ers337 And I could argue that Kathleen Kennedy is destroying Star Wars; due to the fact she keeps pushing George Lucas away. Putting more of her ideas and fading out more of Lucas's. In entertainment you should appeal to most people and in most cases the "fans" are the gateway to the greater audience.
Well that's assuming they're willing to go that route. (And if Mortis still exists in the universe or if it de-materialized after the Mortis Arc
Keep in mind, they replaced Darth Cadus with Kylo Ren, and they've completely upended Luke's Jedi Order and the position of Grand Master, etc. Disney isn't above rewriting or just straight up ignoring previously well established Lore.
So, is it truly tough to believe they're not gonna be willing to delve into Abeloth? Is Disney ready for that? Does Filoni have a feasible way to handle her? I mean, Luke is still relatively young and learning, we haven't seen him do much in his prime cause they're already working around the Sequel Trilogy BS, and he doesn't have much of an Order at the moment.
The powerful Jedi and Sith of the EU/Legends timeline that took her down don't exist here. Unless you think Luke, Cal, Ahsoka, Shin, Ezra, and a handful of Great mother Nightsisters will be enough to take down THE Abeloth? They really can't handle anything more than a single, regular Celestial, much less one who's strong enough to require the Son and Daughter to regularly lock her away. Maybe she's on the Father's level, but that hardly helps the case here, they'd still be no match.
At best, they face a corrupted Celestial, one on the power level of the Son/Daughter, and are barely able to seal them away, but then it makes you wonder... why did the Mortis Gods have to potentially take the Dathomiri from Peridia to keep them safe from a single Celestial they'd have no problem tag teaming with relative ease?
I dunno man, there's a lot to consider here, so, Abeloth or not, I'd say this a lot to take in on its own. But if it's THE Abeloth? Either she's been/going to be nerfed to hell, or it'll be someone weaker but for some reason the Mortis Gods couldn't handle it... maybe they didn't wanna kill one of their own Celestial kin so they locked them away, but knew they'd use the Dark Side to corrupt who they could? And since Nightsisters are fancy/esoteric force users, they'd be susceptible to this being, and they helped them to leave Peridia for that reason?
Just saying, if it's Abeloth, the current Canon doesn't have enough OP hitters to handle her. Took the combined might of Jedi and Sith orders to handle her in Legends, and that was barely enough to lock her away again. With the force users we have NOW? Lmao, they're not stopping her
This is LITERALLY EXACTLY what I was just thinking with this video. I actually hope it's not THE Abiloth. Maybe later on down the road when we actually create more OP Hitters, but we can elude to her much down the road, but Maybe it's like a Cult of Abiloth. And their Master is trying to unlock her from her prison. I'd love a full trilogy about that and THEN a new trilogy about Fighting Abiloth. That would be cool
Personally I think a few changes are needed. Such as for example, Abeloth is just as powerful as the legends counterpart, but baylan does not free her but merely makes shin her vessel as Baylan isn't powerful enough to free abeloth on his own. As a vessel of abeloth, this "shin" is massively nerfed, but she gives baylan some knowledge over the darkside and the lightside and saber forms. Ahsoka sacrifices herself to make the ship she is on along with "shin" to explode and as such Abeloth has no vessel, but Baylan convinced the nightsisters to help free abeloth, but it was a trap and they become vessels as well.
we saw how easily Rey got manhandled by Snoke in TLJ......EVERYONE is getting folded like omelet is Abeloth steps in the ring
Knowing Disney, Rey would just one shot her in a girl boss moment after everyone else does the work distracting Abaloth.
I often like to compare The Force to the Emotional Spectrum of the Green Lantern verse. What many call the "Dark Side" is the Red, Orange, and Yellow colors of it, with the light being the Green, Blue, Indigo, and Violet. Since the light is comprised of 4/7 of the Spectrum, that is why it is stronger than the Dark.
Looking at it this way, the True Dark Side would be the nothingness that was Necron. The space between molecules, in the Star Wars verse, Abeloth would be that, true darkness, and oblivion. That's just my 2 cents.

Force chaos... she's nothing but chaos. Since it now seems obvious Disney is going to use Legends content (which is a good thing), what is difficult is to see how they adapt it to their story. The Abeloth story is one where they likely won't use everything from Legends, but rater an abbreviated form--so it will be interesting to see how they portray her. Using her as an anti-force of sorts to spread her chaos (which in this case, complete unbalance along with unnatural use of the force) throughout the galaxy is a mind bending story arc. The Stupendous Wave is once again correct in pointing this all out.

I honestly was hoping with them making abeloth canon that maybe she corrupted kreia and thats why she wanted to kill the force. I know this isnt the case and she isn't canon as of now but it would he an interesting angle to take a beloved character in an original direction with enough kept to not offend kreia lovers

All she wants is a galaxy where she’s loved, and instead of being nice to her, they all want to destroy her? This is the exact mistake made with Anakin. Abeloth should destroy the world.
If the Force hates Abeloth so much it would especially abhorred the Forces of Chaos from Warhammer 40k. Both the Light and Dark sides would abhore Chaos so much it would do everything it can to stop the Warp from having any foothold in their galaxy at every opportunity to make certain they would never exist in the material world.
Even for the likes of the Father of Shadows from that one tale I heard of the Chaos gods are too unrestrained and too abomniable to ever be controlled. It would be better for the Force to completely seal the Warp off and try to make sure to weaken the Chaos's hold over it from afar.
Something that doesn’t sit right with me is the timeframe they are attempting to introduce abeloth into. Like sticking abeloth in the timeframe between episodes 6 and 7 doesn’t really make sense because wouldn’t she then have a big impact on the sequel era and if she doesn’t then that would hint at her being defeated before then which would be very underwhelming considering how much of a threat her existence is especially if you look back at legends as a reference
Just goes to show that, like everything else poached from the EU, it's only there to jangle keys in front of the audience’s faces and make them watch their shows before putting them back in the toy box.
I'm betting on that being why they split the characters... Ezra goes back with Thrawn to deal with the Imperial level stuff set up in the original galaxy, but Ahsoka and Sabine get left behind in the other galaxy with Baylon and Shin to deal with the cosmic stuff. The Imperial stuff with Thrawn is getting its own movie that will likely feed into the First Order, but the cosmic stuff is isolated in the other galaxy and will be an ever-building plot point in future Ahsoka seasons. If the further sequel movies want to pull from it for stuff for Rey to deal with, it'll transfer over, but otherwise it's Filoni's personal playground.

@@EmethMatthewthat’s an interesting perspective, I agree that this new galaxy is definitely shaping up to become filoni’s playground, we’ll have to wait and see how the rest plays out I guess. It could just sound like a cop-out to other people, but personally I wouldn’t mind if he claimed something like this new galaxy having a stronger connection to the living force for some reason (whatever he came up with) and that the force in general is stronger here so we could potentially see stronger force feats and abilities and such like in the EU. This second thing is just pure headcannon but imagine Vader somehow knew how to get to this galaxy, and brought starkiller here to train him in secret. If you combine that with my first idea we could potentially see a full powered starkiller interacting with people like Ashoka and abeloth which would be insane. Mind you the likelihood of this happening is in the negative percents lmaooo but it’s still really fun to think about

these kind of larger lore question are what im interested in as I feel they ultimately create a better understanding of how the larger picture fits in to the everyday mortal folk like Luke and Ashoka etc.

If Star Wars is going in a Middle-Earth type of direction then Abeloth is akin to Morgoth.
So Anakin gonna have to remind Ahsoka that she has the Daughter's life force and that all she needs is a representative of the dark, aka possibly Shin. So Ahsoka and Shin end up recaputring Abeloth possibly. I'd say Baylan, but if he's releasing her, then he has no desire to reverse that, and very possibly he'll get killed after releasing her. Abeloth wasn't one for willing followers in Legends, which is sad because she would be worth serving.
I can't help but sometimes see Abeloth as the Ungoliant of the Star Wars Universe in a way.
Lucas and Company got this one wrong. Darkness and Chaos have no Sentience--just what was there when the Force became Aware of the Galaxy. When the Energy of the Force wears out---due to it's blending with Chaos, the Universe will just return to it's original state--that of Chaos and no Awareness/Force will be Present in this Universe (but a Creator must come from outside of it's creation). Although one could argue the "Force/Light" is just the Essence of a Creator (like the light coming from the Sun); the inverse is not true--there is no sentient Evil or even an "Evil" force, just those who mis-use the Force and think mistakenly that they exist as solitary individuals. Although Star Wars wants to pattern itself from Eastern philosophical systems; in this case, they are borrowing from Iranian Zoroastrianism (Dualism)--and not Hinduism or Confucianism (which are Monistic). In other words, God is not Evil at all--and has no Counter-part or weakness. The Force is in all "LIVING" things...not a part of the base material used to create. "As Above, So Below..."---once the Force leaves our bodies, the Material left no longer has any awareness outside of the deteriorating chaos of it's Material. Like a Computer unplugged...

I think we’re going to have shin and Ashoka working together.
I really don't want it to be the case, but it seems like the only possible direction at this point. Anakin is the Father, Rey is the Daughter, Kylo is the Son. The 3 of them are the only "chosen ones" (even though the story line of additional twin chosen ones is so bloody dumb), it seems like the only logical outcome if they don't plan to completely retcon the Sequel Trilogy. Which seems almost impossible at this point.
To build on that, during Rey's life post the sequel trilogy, she will be the only "Mortis God" not in her station and still living in flesh and blood which could indicate a strong galactic pull to the dark side until she's able to fill her role as the Daughter by dying and joining the Force.

Great video, but I would disagree with you. I think that the force doesn't hate her, but instead, Abaloth plays an important role in the force. She resets the balance when the force can't correct itself. It's interesting to speculate about, though.

In a sense... if we look at KOTOR 2 for a moment, can't Abeloth be an extreme case of the Jedi Exile if she turned evil? Hear me out.
The Exile was became a wound in the force and is an endless echo. Meetra was able to wield the force again thanks to her connection to Kreia. Kreia taught Meetra to become true to herself rather than a jedi or sith. Meetra then had an option to set in motion a cataclysmic event which Kreia theorized would cause many casualties but few would survive and would also end the Force altogether. This would have these survivors learn how to continue their lives without the Force itself. They would truly be free from its balance.
If Abeloth is exact opposite of the Father (being the personification of un-balance), she could bring an end to the Force itself through chaos as Meetra could've if she wanted to.
I feel the Mortis arc was always very weak in terms of story and logic, it’s a sort of cool concept and kind of interesting, when left vague, but this dissection of the force is ridiculous.
I’m no longer a fan of Filoni, Rebels was good, CW okay, Ahsoka fucking sucked. Except the Ezra actor.

I love the character as an antithesis to death, as that was her motivation to defeat it. The natural order. Which in stars wars is basically the “force”. The idea of the sentient force being such a sick vengeful thing is reminiscent of the Old Testament god. An idiot with too much power.
