I really liked the Shangri-La, it's a shame the 42nd floor club lounge hadn't reopened again, but otherwise such an amazing hotel.

Dubai is great for tourists, great to visit but not great for Africans to stay and work there but some are lucky to find good companies

Thanks for explaining the testing process! Curious - When you had to wait for your results and quarantine did they let you stay in the hotel you chose and booked or were you sent to a government hotel to do so?
Hi Lauren, So you do have to land with a negative test result from your home country but they still took another test upon arrival for us. They won't hold you in a govt hotel but will take the details of where you will be staying & phone info incase for some reason you have a positive test result.

This is my short take. This "orphanage business" my sister. Cant Government care about there people better??? Some African countries have decided to make it a policy for NGO business. Africans of this generation are more aware. I am against separation of families because off poverty.
