Hope that you guys don’t need to hide your payot next time visiting Iraq. Iraqi Jewish community was there thousands of years ago so we need to preserve the ancient Jewish sites and community giving back the Iraqi citizenship to the Iraqi Jewish people and their descendants and welcome Jewish pilgrims to visit the holy Jewish sites in Iraq

Iraqi Jewish community wasn’t just there a thousand years ago it left in the 1950’s. As a descendent of Iraqi jews I was taught to love and respect the land and people of Iraq.

@@isaacperess8852 your land that God gave you was to flee to Egypt but since they disobeyed God's rules he made it forbidden for you to have a land and stay there ! So it's against the Judaism as well to claim a country like Israeli occupation does but at the other hand it's a religion like any other religion so you can be a Jew and be anywhere in the world! It's about your beliefs not where you live though!

I understand the mistrust by iraqis though. Every arab knows how it all began in Palestine. First when the zionist jews came they bought homes and properties and they paid much higher sums than locals. It was a systemic purchase of properties and real estates. Afterwards they built more homes for other jews to immigrate and when they noticed they even have built army legions with the help of British soldiers they began to kick out palestinians from different villages. That was actually the reason for the first arab-israeli war. But you know nowadays the westeners write history. The made it as if arabs hated jews and wanted to erase them. This is the biggest Christian-Jewish "jihad" in human history but still the jewish Controlled Hollywood make muslims are the terrorists. But if this is the case why we tolerated them first before they call the independent state?

My fathers side is Assyrian, from Iraq. I personally never been to middle east but when i see Lipa in this video, i can see that he feels the same way i do, so much history of our ancestors. We have 9000 years of history there. Abraham was born in Ur in Iraq, unfortunately ISIS bombed all of the ancient structures but my father used to go to Ur when he was teenager and he tells me about it. Hope you and Lipa had good and safe travels in Iraq.

First get your facts straight when you talk about Iraq is a whole country with different nations back then the Jewish were in Babylon and It's not a land that's been specified or made for Jews !! Yes they lived there like any other nation or religion but they flee from there to Egypt but since they disobeyed God's prophet and rules God made it forbidden for them ! Now they live anywhere in the world and still can practice their Judaism! But that doesn't mean they can take over a land by force and kill their people so they can live in it like Israel occupation does to Palestinians! It's a religion not a nationality! They can be American or British or even Iraqi Jewish!

    I have such love
For you Shloime , it’s just that the way of Muslim people including countries that have government issues with the US have mainly open minds, kind hearted ways, so giving..I can go on and on about how heart warming they are. The cultural differences are there but the beauty of human connectedness unconditionally. I have noticed across the board that the airport can be a test of patience in many places..even the US lol. I notice that the majority or even across the board travelers from the “west” but Americans I am talking abt being in Iraq, Iran, Kuwait, Saudi and so on are met with such love when they are asked where are you from, Ameriki. It’s so so so beautiful. I am just providing a different perspective and I have not watched the entire vid or the others from the trip. I grew up very close to Williamsburg in Forest Hills, just off Myrtle ave. My father worked for BK Union Gas co since before God blessed me with this life, we walked and took subway or went to service calls all over the Borough’s, I also have been to your beautiful area and others with small to large Hasidic populations, I never thought a thing because God made me one to perhaps observe but never judge when someone or something is different. My parents reinforced this. Mom so kind and gentle, dad took us all over and I never stared at a person but I’d see others do this and my soul was sad, and knowing we are all different that is ok. This doesn’t mean I do not feel it in my heart and soul that killing is wrong, suffering of others, the oppression and corruption, beings that have value for what serves them, so this life is worthless and this one that serves me is worth living disturbs me so that I physically feel all of this along with emotionally but not for 10 min. For a week deeply or a bit more I cry so hard at the heaviness of all the suffering and atrocious wrongs that it seems so many root for or just accept. It is tough, I think and know love and light, unity heals and corrects the heavy wrongs and all wrong. I should say it does however it’s not a one and done deal. I think ok this person is labeled this or that, media says this and that but this is a result of greed and the quest for power that is the true story of what has occurred over our species time on this planet. It is now coming to forefront as it worsens. There are 2 outcomes that are possible- first is basically what the term burning the crooked broken house down as it is necessary to build again..good strong true all the things ones house should be should provide and hold, do. Second is worsening that ultimately is taken care of by Our Creator. Given blessings that are infinite in proportion what happens..people exist like there is no meaning in this ultimate blessing. They worship themselves really not even knowing who they truly are. I am from Cork Ireland and our people suffered as well. I have similar values as Orthodox Judaism follows but it is hard because I am often alone in prayer, meditation, existing in every way one exists by way of love, truth, tolerance, faith rooted deeper than an ancient oak tree, hand in hand with God as I serve the divine Creator and this is joy truly, worry, fear, any negativity is brief because I know what my soul purpose is and I am guided. Should have started out with that I didn’t like seeing and feeling how shaken you 2 kind, stellar beings were. I do know that I will watch the rest and as we do, we rise above to continue on this path, sorry such a long comment or short editorial haha. Love light is abundant within and all around you. ✌🏼🫶🏼✨

Good evening Shliome. My name is Omar. I am a Puerto Rican-American living in Miami. I have been fascinated with Judaism ever since the thought of it came to my mind. I have relatives who are of Jewish faith and the love and joy brought to me by the religion has enlightened my heart to want to convert. What piece of advice would you give to me to start the process. I am reclining on Reform Judaism and most definitely am inspired to learn more.

Hi, If you want to convert and be part of the Jewish Religion and nation, that's great. At the same time you don't have to. You can be a Rightious Gentile. What I wont recommend is for you or anyone to convert to "reform "Judaism" ". The reform movement isn't a Jewish movement. Its vales don't have to do with Jews and Judaism. If you wish to be Jewish then convert to what today is called "Orthodox" Judaism. Or its perfectly fine for you to be a Gentile and you can have a meaningful life as well. Good luck in your journey.

I am so happy that Lipa got on the plane with you Shloime.
I felt so emotionally connected to this video.Lipa is a special true, what I call authentic artist in all the mediums.
I can’t wait to hear the music or artistry that comes out of this journey. I was in Iraq on 04-06-11. I was there with my late husband to see Baghdad. I suffered a terrible injury there ,was treated so badly by the people and finally was able to get out to go to London and then medi-evacuated to Cedar Sinai in Los Angeles.

@@beverlystickney3289 I'm really sorry about what happened to you 😔 but can you tell us how people treated you so badly? Is it because you are American? I see many Americans here at these days and they always said that they loved the place, at 2011 Iraq was dangerous and things was very bad at our land, it wasn't the right time to visit! Anyway I hope you don't think that we are bad because of a couple of bad people you met there and I think most of us was hating USA and the West at that time because of the war at 2003 and how they destroyed our homeland but now things are changed and we almost forgot about that bad war! Hope the best for you ❤️

I love what Lipa is saying near the water because it is so true that there are some who deny our history. We shouldn't be afraid to go certain places just because of our history and what is in our genetics. My next-door neighbours growing up in Guelph Ontario were Iraqi and were very fine people and were close with my father. Despite what they say in the media we do not hate each other. People inherently want to be kind to one another but there are few who have power over others and seek to empower themselves. People hate and blame others they've never even met. They don't even know what their "enemy" looks like or thinks or feels just because they've been made to think this way.
