I truly admire how much you take care of your bow ,cause I seen countless people carrying their bow like it just doesn’t make a difference, but I see how you carry yours so nothing touches it so nothing off. However, be safe and blessed out there, you made me a fan
Not wearing a safety harness? Terrible idea. I know 3 people who have fallen personally. One is dead, two were severely injured and took months to recover. And that's just three I personally know. Never go up without fall protection. It just isn't worth it.
You're on a guided hunt and don't want to sit through a little rain during the rut? Unless your sole purpose for hunting is to generate content and don't want to get camera gear wet, which I understand but in my opinion you're hunting for the wrong reasons then.
This was not guided, and never had an issue sitting in the rain. Had nothing to do with cameras. we were just following advice from more experienced whitetail people we were with.
@@Argali Gotcha! Seemed guided when you've got a fella in the truck explaining how to get to the stand or following someone while spot and stalking because they know the ground. Not hunting in the rain is about on brand as it is to shoot low and back if they are 30-40 yards away. I found that general rule of thumb statement to be incorrect given every situation and shot is different. You didn't follow that advice and got one, good on you. When you have good dirt to hunt on I guess you can pick and choose during the rut on where and when you will go. For example, I married into a family that grew up in Canada. They will not fish until an hour before sundown because the fish don't bite. I will go out all hours of the day in whatever conditions and catch a limit of walleyes in an hour. They just want to only fish when they practically jump in the boat. You probably don't care too much about my opinion but wind is the only thing that should keep you out of the good spots during the rut. Especially on a place you're seeing that much activity. Usable advice if you give ambush whitetail hunting another go. Embrace being uncomfortable and bored because in a fraction of a second you're getting buck fever like you did and hammering another good one.
@@deerlydepartedtaxidermy Do you see the irony of you commenting on a hunting video, criticizing the guy for not ditching his camera gear for the sake of the hunt?
The way the hunter observes and aims is really skillful, great video!
Enjoyed the video! Congrats on the 10 pt, and oh, so close on the wide one!
thank you! - Brad
Beautiful country and good hunt. Thinking about my kids and youth hunters watching, please make sure to keep your harness on, always. Safety first!
Thats a good call...we werent very high up and I never felt unsafe, but definitely a good idea to strap in.-Brad
@@Argali Thank you. It is not only about you. You need to consider your audience and how they might reproduce what they see, especially the youth.
I enjoyed this one. Thanks
Appreciate you watching!

I've always believed if you take care of your gear it will take care of you.-Brad
Great content and congrats on arrowing that buck. White-tail are fun to hunt with archery gear.

Dude, where is your safety harness?
The footage is spectacular! To bad you didn't get the shot on camera!
Thanks! Missing that shot was definitely a heartbreaker!
@@Argali Thats what can happen in real time! This aint Hollywood!
Looks like a fun hunt. I think whitetails are very underrated. Congratulations all around!
Not a single harness was worn in the making of this video.
