- I got this beef on sale so I decided to cook steak for Family Day holiday (in Ontario). Hope you enjoy watching and hope that you'll be able to pick something up from the way I cook.
The tomato chimichurri in this video is my take on the Chimichurri Roja. It's a little different from the traditional chimichurri but still really good.
Ingredients:
SEARED NEW YORK BEEF STRIPLOIN
Salt and pepper
Olive oil
Butter
Rosemary
Thyme
Garlic
TOMATO CHIMICHURRI (ROJA)
Roma tomatoes
Lemon zest
Lemon juice
Garlic, minced
Spanish onion
Green onions
Italian parsley
Cilantro
Sugar
Red wine vinegar
Olive oil
Salt and pepper
ROASTED VEGETABLES
Fingerling potatoes
Broccoli
Olive oil
Salt and pepper

2. Zester: Microplane zester
3. Peeler: Kuhn Rikon Swiss peeler

5. Meat slicer: Shun 9” classic slicing knife
6. Tongs - Winco 9” tongs
7. Cutting board: restaurant-thick green plastic cutting board
8. Sheet tray: aluminum commercial baker's half sheet tray
9. Frying pan: carbon steel frying pan
