I worked at dealership for years and these vehicles should be turned into insurance for insurance auction resale so no one will be buying a former damaged vehicle
The Freon for those are expensive! I think the argument could be made with the insurance company that the value is diminished since they are brand new and have collision reports.
Marc I’m so proud of you. A great honor to fix trucks from a dealership. I fell bad for the guy who hit these trucks. He will probably lose his license. But we all learn from our mistakes. I know these trucks will look oem. ❤
Marc, YOU ARE PHENOMENAL doing work for dealerships is pretty honorable considering dealerships in NJ have their own Body Shops… I LOVED the way you were pricing out the estimate considering that these trucks are BRAND NEW!!!! Your skills are PRICELESS!!!!!!👍👍👍👍
Will we get to see the truck on the frame next episode? Will the repair be covered under a warranty from North Star for the new truck buyer? Always great content on this channel!
I love how you do the work, here in México i bet all of that would be fixed except the hood and headlights but all of those trucks would be sold as brand new no matter what
The insurance company that is paying to repair these brand new trucks is gonna take a hit on these repairs. None of those trucks can be sold as new due to the accident damage even though they were parked on the dealerships lot
any of those barely damaged parts that are being replaced I would keep them for other projects that may come in or you buy at auction. Then it won't matter as much if it has a little filler or if the fins are a little bent on a part.
Be very interesting to CarFax these 3 trucks after you are done with them. Will your dealer disclose the damage to the buyers of these trucks? Lesson for new vehicle buyers, CarFax everything.
@@projectbumblejeep4190 every dealership has cars that are repaired 😅 we fix atleast 3 a month that were damaged in transport. It would be interesting to see if it’s disclosed. The fact that it’s insurance it will most likely be on carfax
To address a lot of comments. Here in Texas, if the vehicle is "lot damaged" it can be repaired, but clearly identified as a repaired new vehicle. The damage MUST be reported to buyer, who gets a big discount if not bothered by a "repair." Not sure about Tennessee laws.
Doesn't matter what State you live in it has to be reported as damaged and repaired and has to be on carfax it's illegal to sell a vehicle that's been damaged in a crash and they have to take a price lose on it
Something similar happened to my dad. He was sold a brand new Volvo in the 90’s, a few years later the paint on the passenger side doors started to fade. When back to the dealer, only to be told that damage could happen during transport and they don’t have to disclose it. He never bought a Volvo again.
I would certainly think these vehicles have a diminished value & can't be sold as brand new! I also can't imagine the dealership would agree to having this put on a video! Imagine the lawsuits if an owner found this video !
vw would not allow a brand new vehicle to be sold that has been damaged. they sell them damaged with reduced price. i got brand new tiguan cracked rear lens and a scratch about 15 mm. £17000 off dealer price
The trucks are going to be exactly like they came from the manufacture. Will the dealer have to disclose they have been wrecked and sell the trucks as wrecked?

They got the right man to do the work the right way and that's you Mark keep them videos coming

Very nice trucks can’t wait to see finished product.
The one with frame damage should never be sold as new truck, that’s wrong

Keep in up, Marc!! Heading toward that 100k. Excellent work and channel.
Holy moly that's a truck? It's yuge! Whatever happened to regular pickups!
how much does it cost to replace that active shutter system on those trucks...?
I love how you do the work, here in México i bet all of that would be fixed except the hood and headlights but all of those trucks would be sold as brand new no matter what
That price is just materials, right? what would the labour / painting cost on top of that?
@@erikthie2253 this is price for everything 😁

darn shame you dont have the dealerships security cam footage to go with this video...

Are you repairing these trucks for the dealership?🤔
Great stuff thanks

Carfax is a good tool.. it’s not everything especially when a friend with a body shop does the work and it’s not reported.

Unfortunately it’s like that with every dealer. We paint brand new cars due to transport damage very often
Another great video !
Thabks
I'm guessing they didn't want you to post this video until after the trucks sold. Maybe?
Great job 👍💪

Try using periods on your post so that everyone can understand you.
A lot of these dealerships will keep it quiet and sell it like new. It happened to my dad
@@gabsmotors5428 it will be on the carfax because it’s insurance with these cars. But many new cars are damaged in transport and not disclosed
@@Motorheadcoexactly , we noticed it years later the roof was repainted
You must disclose any damage to a new vehicle in excess of $1000 to a customer in California. If you don’t you could face a lawsuit with damages!!
great video

So this dealership doesn’t have their own auto body?
I think the dealer makes more $ fixing others cars.
