To recreate the digging experience, you can stick rocks in playdough or wet sand, put it in the freezer for an hour, and let 'em at it. Then with the booklet, you can add bigger specimens and they can still identify all the rocks! Turns it from a one time experience into a learning game 😊
26:27 I’m a little late to the game but that beauty is all amethyst- it’s called Chevron Amethyst bc of that chevron pattern which is formed as the crystal grows more and more layers on top of itself. It’s not agate. Just amethyst. 😊
That was a really cool dig. I like any kit that teaches and is fun too. The assortment was larger than most. I'm happy you got a couple of specimens to add to your collection. Keep the goodness coming. Be happy, safe and stay healthy 😷⚒
I have dug that kit before and even found extras and some not even pictured in the book. Never assume because you found that number they said that you found them all sometimes they hide extras
This is also good for us older disabled people get together around a table outside by a creak& experience a crystal dig & posably trade crystal the next 60 yrs plus fad. It's the new paradigm craz that's changing the world one dig,& one crystal at a time LOL 😛🥳😇🤯🤪🥳🤪😋
This was so interesting and I learned a lot. I'm going to have to get my kids and I our own kits, maybe Christmas 😊 I just love finding all kinds of stones.
Thank you for a such a great and thorough review about shopping for stones on Temu, and what to expect. I hope some people didn't miss the point that they might not always get what they expected.
Your video was very fun and I enjoyed how you explained everything, but I do have to say I was disappointed in the sizes and quality of the stones given the amount you paid. I buy groups of stones for my personal collection all the time in both raw and polished form. This kit gave you less than $10 worth of stones, most of which are super common and inexpensive. The quality too was really sad. The fluorite was almost unidentifiable due to its lack of color and the clear quartz point was very obviously broken. I’d been thinking about getting one of these kits for my nephews, but I think I will make my own so I can at least be sure I am getting $25 worth of stones. Thank you for the informative video.
So basically they hide a few dollars in gems inside some kind of sawdust provide a tiny shovel and mark everything up about 1000% for the privilege of 'discovering' the gems?
I mean it’s like any brand luluoemon sells leggings that they make for less than a dollar and target sells the same pair for 10x cheaper and that not a few dollars worth its actually about 40-50 comming from a gem expert who has 20,000$ worth of crystals
Seemed like a lot of "dirt" left over, I wouldn't have been able to get rid of it until I went through the rest of it just to be sure I didn't throw out an extra stone or something. 😅👍
Watching your video is 10x better than FunHouse TV. Her voice and continually running her mouth turned me off completely. You are interesting and don't seem to be a "Put ON". Thank you for the fun and adventure.
The reason she doesn’t open up the gold digger they have real gold inside only Asch with the diamond ticket please I have brought four and there was 15 things for Christmas. I got a lot of the digger toys.
Looking at the price right at the beginning, that seems like a fair price depending on what the rocks inside are like Edit: partway through the digging and I'd say the fair price is still holding up!
While I do find the historical information interesting the "new age" beliefs make me cringe. I guess this makes the kit appeal to a wider audience, but I wish it would stick to science.

That's a fantastic idea!
Def doing this, and maybe with othe minutures toys. Great idea
That is great way to intro children that are expressing interest into rock. Will have to get a couple to have on hand!
Absolutely! Definitely a really great kit for beginner rock hounds! 😊
@@AgateAriel if you live in Texas, I wanna know where you got this!
@@BooBoos1Kohls
My fiance said his mom used to get these for him as a kid, and now he is a full-on lapidarist and rockhound, so I guess it works.
@BooBoos1 I'm not sure about Texas, but I know a place in Albuquerque, NM that sells them. You could also probably get one online.
I ALWAYS keep digging after I find all the gems because sometimes they will put extras inside:D

Awesome review on the kit! I've always been curious about this one. Looked like a fun mini-dig. The Chevron Amethyst is definitely my favorite.
Right it was absolutely beautiful!!
@@AgateAriel I’m a big fan I’ll buy super thanks for 499$🎉 soon
@@WW2Shooter thank you so much for being a fan!
Nothing like finding rocks and they are already polished!!!!
I love your joyful approach to the hobby
Me: Thats Adventrine!
Ariel: its flourite!
Me: oh
Editing Ariel: i was wrong thats Adventrine
Me: I WAS RIGHT!

Dang, I was not expecting those in there, how cool. Great video, fun and you have some nice display pieces!
Right! I was very impressed!
What a fun kit! I've always wondered about these, I'll have to grab one of these once my nephews are a bit older to get them into rockhounding!
Yes it is definitely a great intro into the hobby!!

Agreed! I was definitely impressed by the variety!

Prices for these kits run in the range of????
@@deborahmulick7218 I think I see similar kits for 20-25 dollars and some cheaper ones are like 15$
It's an automatic win once I dug into it and I found a tiger's eye green fluorite amethyst quartz desert rose and so much more
Awesome video Ariel!!
Nice minerals!!
Thank you so much!
i never knew about soaking the brick in water first- smart idea.
Haha wish I could say I came up with it!
Here’s a tip for you if you go to Canada, you find a lot of quartz😮😊
This was so interesting and I learned a lot. I'm going to have to get my kids and I our own kits, maybe Christmas 😊 I just love finding all kinds of stones.
Wow nice that is awesome I don't have 2 of the stones in the kit. Great video!
Yes I was impressed with the stone variety! Definitely worth the purchase!
This is so cute! I didnt know about the desert rose. Really nice video, thank you for sharing ❤
Dude, I'm finally learning what these are called trying to guess every time you pull one out 😅 Very educational!
Cool Aragonite, I have my own Blue Aragonite and a Orange Aragonite
That’s awesome!
Lovely video :D
However, the piece of amethyst at 26:51 is a chevron amethyst, not an amethyst agate. Beautiful piece nonetheless!
Oh good to know! Thank you!
Awesome Gemstone find!
Thank you!

I have that dig kit and it has a lot of cool gemstones

I am living vicariously through you
I Love the way the colors look
So basically they hide a few dollars in gems inside some kind of sawdust provide a tiny shovel and mark everything up about 1000% for the privilege of 'discovering' the gems?
It for kids to learn how to find them and it safer then taking them to the actual place to dig big pits that adults can only do
I mean it’s like any brand luluoemon sells leggings that they make for less than a dollar and target sells the same pair for 10x cheaper and that not a few dollars worth its actually about 40-50 comming from a gem expert who has 20,000$ worth of crystals
Yeah but keeping your kids busy for a while… priceless
Yes
kids dont care about allat

Haha thank you! 😊
This looks like fun.
I got one like that but there were rocks any you crack them open and they are geodes in them I really liked it 100% recommend
Can you review the XXToys Jumbo Gem dig set next please?
Great video! Kids loved it!
Basicly the book tells you what your getting. Wooo im so excited lol......
Cool kit
I had one of those I already did all of those and I am getting the one you’re getting:D I think that one is fun because the other one was the same
Is the matrix some sort of clay? It looks super messy. Would be fun for a kid to work on, but I think I'd rather go rock hounding myself :)
It can be called an Amethyst Chevron hence the pattern. Very nice.
I literally almost bought this yesterday but opted for a terrarium kit
I definitely would have let it soak longer in the water until it's almost Puddy
I'll get one for my birthday!
That’s a great idea!
Me too!
Nice kit, but I prefer raw crystals. Great for a young collector.
I was so excited ❤ process are really interesting 😊
I perfer to dig out the rocks when the brick is kinda dry
I like these things I've done them before
so pretty
Love the vid but that is not a agite that’s a chevron amethyst
Are they real?

It bothers me that the tool isn't being cleaned off much.
I’ve done two of these kits before
I found a lot of cool gems
I had a kit with 225+ gemstones (250 max)
What if its malachite inside
You are best you are best. I love rocks too. I just love rocks. I love gems. I legends stones.
The agate looks more like a carnelian
Looking at the price right at the beginning, that seems like a fair price depending on what the rocks inside are like
Edit: partway through the digging and I'd say the fair price is still holding up!
I don't know why but this satisfies my ADHD.
testing national graphic dino teeth pls😄
Me too I like crystals
ill never understand the appeal of acquiring rocks/gems you didnt go out and find for yourself
7:32 it looks nice
This woman needs to watch steven universe
that amathist is worth byeing the kit
I love your videos, but I do have an actual agent, but this is a natural agent
While all of those crystals are very cool and pretty, I hope you didn’t throw away the plaster afterward. Those can be reuse or recycle.
are they real
Seems strange to dig out gems that have already been tumbled and polished.
idk why the ad is for assault rifles. Ill gladly keep my AR thanks
Do it in water it worked even better
W hat about the white and purple crystals.
I will get 10 for my birthday
I wowa get that
