Great job! Now please do a light swap and get rid of that noise.
We were getting ready to sell a work van, 6.0 4l80e when my impalas small block went out. Was already wanting to go to an OD trans, as my 63 is my cross country car. Perfect timing on both, finding this video really got me fired up to start my build
Yeah man well worth it I promise!
Appreciate the info! I'm getting ready to drop a 6.0 LS in my 1964 Bel Air! Your videos, I just found them, but they have been helpful! Keep it up!
Thank you man. If you got any questions feel free to ask man!
Yo bro I’m proud of you! You really did it and still doing your thing! LS1 cammed normally range between 400-527 hp. I’m so motivated watching your build!
Thank you man I really appreciate that. Considering this is my first build and my first time doing all this. It wasn’t too bad
@@classicpatinas not bad at all brother! Keep at it!
Good job! Thats how i like my builds. As close to stock appearing as possible and all the functionality of the new upgrades. Great build. Cant wait to see it finished.
Thank you man!
Congratulations. All your hard work has paid off 🥰
Great swap.i did 1967 c 10 all chevy 6.0 truck engine , if I were you I would change brake system duel power master cylinder , also see if your engine is crank shaft pined lower pulley ,mine spun and rubbed inside of hormonic balancer pulley fell off engine when I was doing a launch. God bless yall real good.
Definitely planned on doing better brakes on here as well. And it is a great swap
Swap the buzzing ballast for an led!
I have said it before but thanks again for the details truly bro 6.0 4l80 over here hope mine goes as smooth as yours went
No problem man, any questions hit me up!
Please keep us updated!! This build is gonna be dope. Love the setup
Hey bro great vid and a beautiful build..I have a 1966 Chevy caprice 4 door, everything original but my 327 is frozen been sitting for years but I’m getting a 01 Silverado 4.8 and I’m scared thinking about the whole swap and getting someone good to do it. I have LOTS of questions but this vid has helped some of them lol.
If you have any questions just let me know man
You may be able to get it to turn again. My 327 did similar and I did an oil change, dumped new synthetic oil in, and also got a new stronger battery which ended up finally spinning it over. You may have some luck trying it by hand just to make sure nothing else is going on like the starter binding up/etc
One time I thought my 327 was seized another time and it was just a bad connection (that looked okay) on the starter that wasn't allowing enough juice to hit, so it would click as if it was trying to engage but actually it wasn't enough juice to turn anything even while jumping it
Fan sw.
I agree
Did same 35 years ago on 59
Good info, getn ready to Ls my 64
Hope it all goes well man
@classicpatinas thanks dude, appreciate you. Gonna do a dual master cylinder with disc brakes first. Then rewire entire car , get it set up for an LS
Hell yea bro. Great content! I'm about to swap my 66 impala with the 5.7 ls6 and want to pair the 4l80 with it but Im worried about having to modify the tunnel
I feel like it should fit but I bet it comes REALLY close.
@@classicpatinas 4l60 and 4l80 will fit without any tunnel modifications
@@smithmj2010 that’s how I did this. No modification at all.
Did the 4l80 fit in good? Thinking if I can fit a 6l80 in my 66 If not a 4l80
Now you raised your engine 3/4" mine in a 62 Impala needs to be lowered and oilpan is 3/4" above the x-body frame. Front of the engine sit to high. I have been driving it but now need to replace the transmission something hits the frame I believe it to be the driveshaft have replaced the carrier bearing stopped the banging for a short time I believe it to be front driveshaft angle.
All you have to do is raise trans cross member in the back and it should level it out.
@@classicpatinas with the 4l60e trans their is no room to raise the trans. I'm going to have to take 7/16" off the frame engine mounts. That appears to be my only option. I'll get a set from the junkyard to experiment.
Looks greAt man, keep up the good work,we need more videos posted, I'm an Chevy Impala fan myself, and what's the plans for paint?
Honestly I was just going to do a gloss black with a couple layers of clear. I want it to look like glass lol
😮💨🔥🔥 killing the game
Appreciate that💯🔥
keep up the great Job 👍
Thank you man
Thanks again! I keep coming back, LOL
No problem man‼️
Build looks good bro
Thank you man💯
Great Job, I did the same build in my 64 Impala SS. All the thing you did, I had to do. Are you changing the rear end to posi, I still have to do mine, if yes what gear you going. I have 20s so I may go 373. Again great job.
I want to get a 3.73 posi but I can’t find one for the right price.
I have an original 63 SS Posi that will fit your 64 if your interested. Very clean and ready to bolt on.
@@edwardnavarro3692 how much?
@@classicpatinas I have it on eBay for $2500
@@edwardnavarro3692 sheesh what gears
I thought u wiz the 66 El Comino guy.
I'm watchin now your/piece u sent.thanks again. LSI,OK
HOPE I ain't gotta back up to a diff.pan.
I'll cut the member first.if possible/with it all in
Going to need every info building 64S$ for my daughter
Liked your video,do you have to have the ecu reprogrammed when installing a performance cam?
No that’s the best part about the Holley terminator. It’s easily “tuned” but it’s also a self learning ECU.
Build looking good. Did the stock 5.3 truck intake fit under the hood?
I never tried but I think it will hit or come REALLY close to hitting the hood.
@@classicpatinas how di u run the belt, since it has no power steering?
@@gerardolopez5875 they make a power steering delete backet for the exact set up I used. The car he’s power steering but not a conventional set up. I just installed electric power steering. So I didn’t have to change my set up, didn’t lose HP, or have to cut/change my radiator
@@classicpatinas @ nice,,, any link for electric power steering pump?
@@gerardolopez5875 it’s just a electric steering motor from a Toyota Prius
Can i get the part number for the top radiator hose please. Thanks.
Top is 21851 bottom is 20584.
looks good
Thank you man!
Nice work .where do I get link from on what part numbers you used for Intake ecm wiring harness..etc
The intake was from a friends car, it’s on a Holley terminator X Max but the part number depends on set up of engine and transmission
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
So you just got shims from the hardware store and got longer bolts for the mounts to bolt up the frame ? . I’m currently gathering everything to do this swap on my car
@@jesuschristgarage7064 yes I went to Lowes
Have this same setup except with an ls3 in a 64 impala convertible ss. No cutting the tunnel for the 480le but was tight, I also used brp mount kit and will never use it again
Yeah from what I heard there were no 4l80e mounting kits for these cars.
Usually custom crossmembers
How about an electric power steering? I put one on my c-20 63 Chevy
I put electric steering on the car already from a Toyota Prius.
I need help please 🙏 were do I get a clean 12 volt for it to power the terminator? Please 🙏 help
Honestly I got mine from an ignition wire. But use a voltmeter and your going to have to look around
just a question... the motor mounts- are they for a 6 cylinder? or 8? i know that the height between the two are different...🤷🏼♂️
I believe these are the 6 cylinder mounts, because those are taller
Link doesn’t work for trans crossmember what crossmember did you modify?
It’s a 1964 Impala 4L60e swap crossmember, it almost look like bicycle handle bars.
Bought the cast ex.too.
Ain't got u. On yet
Let me know how it goes
Ok
Water damage on kitchen wall/in and out walls/floor joist/studs.
Got inside wall back except where the new drain/vent is.floor all done too .cept linoleum /later.
Cars rusting and resting.
1978 to last year.
Great job hb can u send me all info, build a 64ss for my daughter 15 birthday
What info you need?
Do ls1 intakes fit 5.3 truck motors???
Yes, that’s what I have on mine
What is the link for the headers you are running?

Take a bow...👍🇨🇦
how long did the swap take from start to finish?
It took me about 6 months to get the funds and build it
will a/c and p/s work on this. i am doing a 64 impala
P/S will work on this set up but you may need a different accessory drive for A/C
@@classicpatinas @ do u have power steering?? On this? If not, which brackets are use to delete the pump
@@gerardolopez5875 th-cam.com/video/qdPrQtS7cAA/w-d-xo.html
I know u put up the motor mounts but what brackets and rubber motor mounts???
Not too sure on rubber mounts.. I solid mounted mine
Why radiator hoses did you use?
Part numbers are 20584 and 21851
What part numbers are the radiator hoses?
Part numbers are 20584 and 21851
are the rags holding the windshield in place?
No, the rags was a buffer for the windshield because it wasn’t installed
Does that intake work with 706 cathedral-port heads
Yes. My engine has 706 heads on it.
What shop cut your drive shift for you and how much did it cost you
NW Driveline, they cut, welded, balanced and painted the drive shaft for a few hundred bucks, don’t remember the exact number because I had to do it twice 😅. I didn’t get it cut long enough the first time.
It was actually not too bad for all the work they did
@@classicpatinas when I get my done, maybe we could click up
What headers did you use ?

Power steering ?
The accessory drive is for power steering, I just made a video on power steering
Which coil packs are you using
Stock truck coil packs
