I thought this whole series was brilliantly informative. I have just purchased a Peter Childs and was daunted at the thought of having to make some of the tips that come with a machine such as Razertip, but your videos have definitely convinced me I'll be able to do just that. Also I loved the guys thing, I was chuckling to myself how it must have wound up the idiots who posted in the comments. Great job!
Thank you for another useful video. I purchased my Perter Childs after watching your review. I have placed a rubber band as a stopper on the handle, it lets me feel where I need to hold and prevents me creeping into the hot zone. Don't worry about the guys thing, it made no difference to the information I took from this video. Thanks again.
rare for it to matter as you're always going to get a bit of heat wash on either side. You're not really going to get a "cut" so to speak. Combined with the fact that too fine an edge will just roll up when softened by heat and then applied to a surface.
this has been a bit of a request of late, :) I know, I wish my older videos had less use of the word guys and a bit more detailed :) I learnt later down the line
Hey Jo, I am aware of the guys thing :), It's a verbal nervous tick. You wouldn't believe it but I am actually almost debilitatingly shy. I am working on dealing with it. But this is an old video so lots of "hey guys"

Nice idea with the rubber band, :) alas I am mildly alergic to rubber :) so maybe I should look for a silicone hair tie or similar :D
This video helped me a lot, thank you sir!
Thanks Harel :) this is an old video but I am glad you still enjoy it
Excellent series of videos!! Is there any value in honing with a fine grade afterwards, or does it not matter in the end?

No, fantastic, liked the introduction as well, short, sweet and not drawn out... I found this by trying to make tips for a colwood detailer model....
any open source can use the same tips
I have no problem with "guys" lol. Appreciate the very useful videos, thank you.
thanks
Helpful video, Thankyou. Saying 'guys' so often makes it a little hard to listen to though ;-)

Guys.... Guys..... Guys.... Guys.... Guys
Thank you for your constructive criticism :) Your eloquent and reasoned reaction to something you disliked was appreciated.
Stop with the GUYS! Otherwise really informative.
It's not like I can go back and change the audio
