This is cool. I would love to put a front mount on my passat. Seems like it would be easy.

You think it's hard finding parts for an AUG try finding parts for the Australian AJL haha. It's been a nightmare modifying my 2000 A4 B5 with AJL 180hp. 😋
Did you end up finishing this car? The radiators in these are just fine if you put a larger one in it will likely not fit and the pump isn't designed to push the amount needed. It's a good idea to change the plastic water pump while doing the timing belt too.

Not finished yet but still working on it! Just picked up another Passat v6 manual I’ve been working on also a frs with 1jz and a wrx we are building a closed deck block at the moment. But yes spring is around the corner and I want to be driving the B5 this summer!! Check out my last two videos. For some reason youtube will show people the b5 video and none of my newer videos. Good luck on that A4!! Is that drive by wire? I have a stage 3 Apr tuned Ecu with button to change tunes and a really light flywheel and some other things out of a 2000 a4. A guy smashed his and I purchased his whole kit

@@KBMOTORSchannel I did watch the older video's where you purchased the turbos and other gear. I'm looking at getting an APR tune for my audi, and no these aren't drive by wire. I wouldn't trust the flywheels with those replaceable parts on them, I want to get a single mass lightened flywheel for mine when the torque level requires it. My stock one is holding up fine for now because I don't drive it hard off the line or labour the engine which stresses the rods. I just give it WOT for full boost when it's at a safe rpm.

Weakest point is the rods! Be careful lol. My son just put a rod through the top of his jdm ej205. He always wanted a wrx. Well now he gets the whole experience. We just picked up a closed deck bottom end with Manley rods and je pistons. I’ve always wanted to do the rods on the Passat. We may get there but there’s not a worse feeling than killing the motor for good lol. The audi wagon is pretty rare. Especially here where they use way to much salt on the roads in winter. It absolutely kills cars. Sounds like you have a pretty fast little car!!

@@KBMOTORSchannel yes the rods and the next part is the crank pully letting go, you can dowel them to stay on. A lot of the American 1.8t came with forged cranks wich is a bonus. My AJL has the higher flow ports but no forged crank. I want to get integrated engineering rods when I get it tuned and turned up. It's really quick now with the gt2871r and a N75j valve. The turbo took it from stock 8.7 psi to 12psi and the N75j gives it 3 more psi and a longer boost curve/duration so it gets along really nicely.

@@KBMOTORSchannel and I would never go near a Subaru they are terrible engines haha. My little brother has a forester with over 400k kilometres on the clock and it still runs but is slow af. They are troublesome and I would never own one.
