I must say, this b5 series is honestly some of the most enjoyable videos and production quality is great man! i know I am late to the vids, but awesome job and keep going!
Thanks for another great video mate, I’ve been binging this build since I found your channel. I also have a stage 2 tuned s4 down here in Australia (where these cars are very rare) it’s been so handy having this series as a tool to use… currently am struggling to find a boost leak which is putting the car into a soft limp mode which is quite frustrating as I’m struggling to find the source of it.. this has been giving me a lot of motivation to get on top of it though 👍
Hey thank you for the support! Its awesome you're from australia. I've got some family down in Adelaide. Sounds like you've got an awesome project on your hands! If you have access to an air compressor you could run a pressure test! That helped me a ton finding leaks on my s4! Thank you again for the support!
Side mounts are best plus you save your bumper from butchering the hell out of it. There's quite some options for side mount but if you want to go really big Wagner Tuning make some of the biggest SMICs i have ERs very big aswell on my Tial 770s. great video good luck .
hello I have a2001 s4 but I have yet started on any projects to it dont really know where to start thanks to your video sir atleast I have all this for guidelines
the S4 is coming together so fast!! the larger turbos are going to be INSANE! and it’s about that time in the year where we can begin to expect the TT’s wrap journey to begin at anytime now, i’m hyped!
They really will be wild! You are also spot on! The second I get the tt to behave long enough we should be all set to start the wrap! Im glad you're hyped!
Also I recommend going with rs6 hybrid turbos, absolutely love my car with the hybrids, although I was running on borrowed time with stock coolers lol.
@HunterDirection the power really sets in at 4k nicely. Pulls hard and I can still daily with my kiddo just fine. 500whp on tap is nice. Thinking built motor next year.
Is it possible you have two a4 fenders on the car? Although the fenders aren’t unique the plastic parts the bumper clips into are unique to the s4 and may make the bumper fitting an issue. I have one a4 fender on mine and the bumper is much harder to get on and off on that side.
You know that's a really solid idea🤔 I was able to get them to fit better buf that could definitely explain a lot of the fitment issues. Thank you for the support!
Even though I have a 1.8TQ I’m going to go with this kit. Been looking at it for awhile but it’s very pricey. If someone with a 1.8TQ goes front mount then normally the bumper needs to be cut up. The bumper comes off exactly the same as the S4.
Super solid idea! TT225 come with twin intercoolers in the same spot as the S4, so you could probably grab a bit of the piping from there and modify it to fit. I bet it's gonna turn out great!
@@HunterDirection sucks though the carbon pieces don’t fit. Is the fog light getting in the way? If you can’t get them to fit them I’ll probably just go with upgraded eBay intercoolers for an S4.
@@DustySteelI would not go with a no name ebay intercoolers. They could have a bad core design on the inside. Get a good brand even if used, AWE was one of the first companies that made that smic.
Genuine question, how old are you and what's the insurance cost like on these? In the UK the chance of someone in their 20s being able to insure not one but two sports cars is slim to none!
That's a really good question. I'm 25 at the moment. The insurance has varied a bit lately since I've gotten a house and more cars but here it helps a lot to bundle for insurance. Home insurance with the cars dropped their payments alot. I also work as an engineer full time which helps a lot. Feel free to email me or dm me for more details and actual numbers if you're curious haha
@@HunterDirection I don’t really need actual numbers but clearly it’s affordable in your case, albeit with a good job if you’re an engineer. Maybe you earn considerably above average or maybe it’s very down to location but a 25 year old buying a house and owning any one of your cars would be difficult here let alone all of the above! Very much enjoying the B5 S4 content, it’s not helping my urge to buy a project car and/or something that’s not a shit box for the first time in my life though.
Just copped 2 Audi s4 a manual and auto b5s4 these make my 3rd time Owning one of These cars and I will Not Sell Them this time 😂the manual one doesn’t run at the moment needs a battery and a clutch and it’s 209k miles and then the auto is decent 170k miles all big maintenance items have been done

So good to see someone still making b5 content on TH-cam love the videos and great to see how far the car has come!
Same, B5 content is hard to come by.
Thank you. I love finding a new channel with a large library of older vids.
The S4 has made leaps! Keep it up I love the content Hunter
Thank you a ton! I really appreciate the support!

Finally found another Aussie driving a B5 Audi haha, starting to feel like I'm the only one that owns one lol.
I hope you found your leak man!
Can't wait for the next video!
Would love to see a follow up video on fitting the carbon fiber shrouds under the bumper.

I’m new to the channel, but do more thumbnails like that, i know nothing about Audis but I clicked because that thumbnail was gold. Nice video as well

I am stoked you are finding these videos useful. Thank you for the support!
Where'd you order the intercoolers through ? Haven't really seen them on sale/discount in awhile.

I had an 04 s4 and I’m now looking to grab a 01 s4 what have you spent on the upgrades?
what part of washington are you in?
Just buy new hardware and brackets for the bumper side mounts. They all go bad eventually because we are taking off the bumpers so much on these cars.
I am stoked you can still get them! I am also glad to know my car isn't the only one with that issue haha. Thank you for the support!
What green is that? Cactus?
Just found you guys because of this video being posted when I so happened to search s4 intercoolers. Droppin a sub 🤘

@@FlannelDad hey thank you! I am stoked you like my videos! I will absolutely look into the rs6 turbos. They seem like a solid option for sure!

I got the apikol side mount for my 1.8tq. Minimal cutting to the support and it bolts right in. Car runs tiptop even untuned
@@Planetary13 I agree with the reliability of a name brand intercooler.

Treat yourself at Costco to a box of black heavy duty nitrile gloves!
