Thank you for the 5 part series. I was gifted this machine from my husband's parents with no manual.
Something I'm noticing with all the videos out there on this model of machine is that some people are using metal bobbins while others are using plastic bobbins. Does anyone have any insight on the why of using plastic or metal?

No, I’m not sure. There are some Facebook groups that keep records of older machines that could include how old they are. Or you could post to one of the groups asking that question to see if you can find someone that bought it new.
