    Hi Maxwell, I couldn't reply to your message for some reason, maybe you have the 'reply to' function switched off? Anyway, the part number is now listed in the description (T2702016) as i didn't have it to hand when i uploaded. To your second point, currently, there is NO requirement under VOSA for a motorcycle to have an illuminated number plate. It does require a red reflector, which I have yet to fit.

    I'll post up the part number tomorrow, I can't find it at the moment...sorry!

    Great idea! I like the original fender so I'll try this. Want to get the number plate slightly higher up.
    What kind of tape are you using to fix the number plate on the modified mud guard?

    Hi Tony, this will clean up the back end a bit, thank you. BTW are you aware if the Scrambler Triumph Euro LED tail light relocation kit, Triumph part # A9700145 will work on a 2017 Street Cup. I'm ok with the stock fender but not crazy about the bulbous OEM tail light.

      I wouldn't have thought so, as i believe the fixing points are different. Of course, everything can be MADE to fit, but it doesn't look like a straighforward job. You could fit one of the Motone Bates style tail lights quite easily. The street twin I know has a moulded dip in the fender when you remove the light, so you could always switch that out for a Motone Bobbed fender? www.motone.co.uk/motorcycle-parts-c26/triumph-bonneville-c25/bobbed-rear-mudguard-fender-black-anodised-aluminium-lc-p2186

    Would need to source a different rear light with integrated number plate light.

      According to VOSA a number plate light is not a legal requirement....

      That's interesting, was sure it was, but maybe a case of if there is no light there it's ok but if you have a light and the bulb is fused it would be a fail. A previous mot I had done on a bike the tester told me that a rear reflector was also a necessity, It did pass though as it had one of those small button type reflectors stuck on the number plate.

      ooSPOCKoo yep a reflector is needed but not a number plate light

    By law do you have to run a number plate light?? Was just about to start cutting and had a thought?

      Bens Moto101 In fhe UK is not not an MOT requirement

      Hi Chandra, I ordered the part through my local Triumph dealer

      Will it fit to the street scrambler? I couldn't find it on any triumph official or stocker websites, maybe i'll contact my local dealer in Jakarta. Thanks.

      Chandra Adityawan The dealer should be able to order it as it's a spare part as opposed to an accessory

    Really like the look of this and just called the dealer - part is super cheap. I am not understanding how you mounted the plate holder to the area where the cut off the number plate light. I get that you double sided the number plate to the plate holder but how did you then attach all that to the upper part after you hacked off the number plate light? Thanks for your help!

    • @mancavemoto
      @mancavemoto  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      The plate was attached to the upper part, i only cut off the lower section of the number plate mount

    • @yahdyras
      @yahdyras 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@mancavemoto That I understand but then how did you attached that back to the area just under the mudguard? As i understand it you cut just above the number plate light - and cut it again at the number plate mount. This would leave two pieces to be joined back together - no?

    • @yahdyras
      @yahdyras 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think I understand now. You never physically separated the two - you just cut bits off - and since your number plates are so tall it covered all that anyway after taking off a bit at the bottom. US moto plates are about half the height of yours so I don't think this mod would work the way you've described unfortunately. Bummer.

      Yes exactly, but it might still work, I still have it in my garage, so I could measure it for you

    Hi mate, what adhesive did you use to attach the number plate to the plate mount? It does look as though you used any screws. Cheers.

    • @mancavemoto

      HI Toby, I used double sided Number plate adhesive pads. They've held really well through all weathers
