Too bad the camera angle is ass and you literally have no option for a free cam and always stays behind the player...also no one mentions the ridiculously cringey cutscenes at the start of this game that you can't skip? No one mentions that for the first 1 hour of this game, they TELL YOU HOW TO PLAY. "press this button to do this trick, now press this button, now go over here and perform this combo... we're going to teleport you over here now" it's so fucking annoying compared to Steep, where you can literally just go wherever you want from the get-go and don't have to sit through cringey cutscenes and an hour's worth of hand holding. Oh, and the controls for ski and snowboard are terrible. There is no ense of controlling a trick, it's just, "press X to spin, press O to perform a flip"...in steep, you actually control the flips with your analogue sticks. And the option to change the controls to "steep mode" in the game still feels nothing like playing steep lmao not to mention the controls for bike even are just clunky as hell...you know how in every Ubisoft game, the driving just always feels off and clunky? Like the sensitivity is very high yet unresponsive? (WD legion is a good example) well that's what the riding in this game feels like AND there's no free camera so the camera just constantly stays behind the rider do you can never fully see corners etc. it's that bad, RR has good graphics and that's it imo

What are you talking about? The vast majority of the sounds from the AI, trick combinations, etc all sound like they come from a slot machine. What is relaxing about a slot machine?
The fact that these are all live players in a lobby simultaneously doing something is so intriguing to me

There not live players they are bots
Theyre not live but player ghosts. Some matches are with live players tho, like mass races and trick battles. At most theres 36-40 players in a sessiom and the rest of the dots on the map are player ghosts
But you can pass through another player's body it should be a crash
These are ghosts of other player's runs. its not live per say.
I remember playing a game similar to the video above called Downhill. I played that game in 2007, when I was 6 years old, I always cried when I was beaten by my cousin who was 10 years apart. 2 weeks ago he married his girlfriend at that time I was touched to see it, time flies so fast and the game has accompanied our childhood.

I love Riders Republic for its gameplay and innovation. Its the sequel I always wanted for Steep. But I miss the soul steep had. The real locations and the story missions with the monologues from the mountains. Steep also often had a mysterious feeling.

@@yesdude3914 .. You don't know how to play the game, there are different settings, even for free cam and even for controls and tricks..
@ChrisMiller223 yeah I realise that, I actually play RR alot now and enjoy it (I have some videos on my page) but I still find it pretty damn cringey at times lol..but still enjoy it just as a casual arcadey game

Not gonna lie. When they came to that intersection I really wish I could’ve saw a wipeout. Would’ve added that much more intensity to this game. Dude makes it look too easy.

You should definitely get the game. There is so much to do and the sense of pure adrenaline as you speed down a slope in first person is something no game has ever produced as well as this.

This game reminds me of another one that I played on the Play Station 2 when I was little, it was called DonwHill domination and I thought it was very popular, but they only knew it a little and it was forgotten, but it was one of my favorite games

I love how realistic the jumps are with the skiing some games u get so much air its just so unrealistic this game the airtime and the way tjey drop back to the ground just looks like it would in real life i love it man

Overall it’s fantastic, if you’re really paying attention you can tell every difference between each type of terrain, and hard impacts versus smooth. When you nail the controller goes nuts lmao. It’s awesome!!
I use to try it as free tryal , hepatic feedback is poor and cheap , vibrations on ps 4 are better , compare with demons souls , returnal , astrobot this game is at AC Valhala level at hepatic feedback and same ubisoft grind desgusting low quality with potent late vibration feedback
1:44 - is that just a background NPC? Can you actually possibly collide with them? It looks like you went right through them but maybe you just barely missed them. I thought they were other players a few seconds earlier‘s when I saw one riding parallel with you way off to the right.
I think that's a player ghost from a previous playthrough, they are used to fill the map

People will also have chips in their brains that communicate the athletes’ feelings to the masses of other people who wish to feel what the athletes are feeling in that moment. People will look back and say “remember that one game? The graphics sucked but it brings back so many memories.” History will repeat itself until singularity. ❤

It's actually is with majority of steep mechanics, but to answer your question Ubisoft used the crews 2 engine to give the game a better appeal then what steep looked like.

If you think you'd like this game, get it. For someone who played any and every x-games game I could get my hands on as a kid, it's a dream come true. The map is enormous with tons of variety in the environments and ways to get around. Easily my favorite game right now, whether I'm blasting through challenges or just riding around this awesome map. Easy 9.5/10.
