  • CRKD NitroDeck is one of the best handheld gaming accessories ever made for the Nintendo Switch OLED. I purchased both of these Nitro Decks myself. I'm not paid by CRKD but I love this device. Thanks for watching and if you can help my channel please subscribe.

I love the retro mint color. Which one do you find yourself using most from the 2 colors you purchased?

I also love retro mint. But I mostly use black. I'm afraid if I keep using mint I will get it dirty. I'm pretty rough on my products

All reviews complain about certain things in the nitrodeck, but for some reason this review is all sunshines and rainbows

Its not a problem for me I like it. The button/thumb stick lay out on the Nitro Deck is the same as the Standard Switch joycons. the NitroDeck is bigger so the distance between the thumb-stick and buttons is slightly wider. YMMV depending on your preference and hand size.

I provide my assessment of a product regardless of what other people say. I won’t trash a product just to get views. Nor will I serve as positive reinforcement for other people’s beliefs if it is contrary to my own.

The button mapping, if I remember right, is sequential. Meaning that it only registers one input after the other and not simultaneous inputs.

Except joycons suck, they have the highest drift rate of any controller in history. They are too small, the thumbsticks too small etc. That's the entire point of products like this and why they are so popular. The joycons really are one of the more unreliable controllers ever made, and don't even have a dpad.
This was a really weird uninformed comment. Maybe the Nitro or similar products are too expensive for you? If so I get it I do, but most people don't like $5-10 dollar store feeling grips. Even for grips satisfye and similar are the most popular and are way way more than that. And they don't fix the major joycon issues.
      Food for thought.

    • @jayaretroyo
      @jayaretroyo 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@TheGamerGuy1981 I’d go any day with joycons as long as it has a satisfye grip installed. The right joystick of this nitrodeck is poorly placed, also this accessories uses a lot of battery and the vibration sucks it’s like there’s a construction site in the area. Another thing is that it scratches the back of the switch specifically if the switch is limited edition. Won’t be spending lot of money for accessories that limits the capability of a switch

@@jayaretroyoOwn one and no it doesn't impact the battery largely, Joycons are horrible. Worst drift in history, short throw, short stick, horrible to use which is why just a "grip" doesn't do much. Far as the ergoes depending on how you grip this I can definitely see your concern there.
Vibration I disable in handheld mode always no matter how I play, it's gimmicky and distracting and adds nothing to gameplay. I do the same on my Dualsense and Xbox controllers.
Also have had no issues with scratches on either of my oleds yet.
      (Pokémon V/S and Mario red).
It's clear you are making judgements on spec sheets and videos and don't own one of these devices. Which if that's how you want to judge something that's up to you. But the old saying goes "Don't knock it till you try it". Hall effect sticks alone make it superior to any official option, same reason I use the 8bitdo ultimate controller when I play docked.
So much for that $5-10 grip comment. (especially even if that were accurate it doesn't fix the horrible joycons.)
And don't get me wrong the Nitrodeck is Far from without cons. (which I'll get to in my own review) but it's certainly a better option than consumable drifting $80 joycons. Fault the product all you'd like from your own view, but the points you are making sound from a place of ignorance without any long term use of the product rather than actual constructive criticism. Like a young teen yelling *I don't have this so it's bad! * mentality.
Controllers that use Potentiometer instead of hall effect all drift in time. But the joycons literally drift. More often and faster than any other controller made in history, at $80 a set and you want to talk wasting money? Sounds like you are just hating to hate without use experience friend. Have a good one.
