The most joy I've had watching the Yankees since 09'... 2022 I was always afraid of the offense which was way too dependant on walks and HR's but the feeling is just different with this team.

You're mistaken about that 2022 team. They were a fairly well rounded offense that won games multiple ways, at least in the first half. Then they just got crushed by injuries and played horrible in the playoffs.

That's the problem when people who don't really watch a sport, talk about a sport. Knowledgeable fans know Soto is a spread hitter, and does a ton of damage the other way. His style isn't to pull the ball, it is to hit line drives, hard, and everywhere. Short porch will give him a couple homers, but he will lose some to death valley in left center.

The biggest thing with Soto is that he hasn't fallen in love with pulling the ball at Yankee Stadium. He uses the whole field and knows the HRs will come when they come.
