This event is just an easy playground for DBD players. Being hunter in this current version of Windtrace is hella EZ because the game mode favors the hunter now. How and why: 1. Hunter got infinite stamina 2. Hunter will automatically win the game if the hiding fails to fix 4 machines or when the time is out. 3. Hunter gets even more speed boost when the time is running out which put more pressure to the hiding.
@@maiafay 3 rebels, and they all have to help out with fixing machines, so if you as a rebel get paired with some people who only want to hide, you basically lose.

I agree with what you said but if you strategise well, you will definitely win as a rebel. Cooperation between rebels is a must. If you repair the signaling devices one by one, you will lose. Try repairing multiple devices with your teammates at 2 opposite corners. Even if one rebel gets caught, you still get 1 device repaired, do the same thing repititively and you should win. Also try to use lost prayer if you have it. Today i won two matches as a rebel, both strategically. In one of the matches, one player was distracting the hunter, so I repaired 3 devices with a little help from the other guy.
When I'm the hunter I use high places so I can see where the rebels are going and then glide to them from above drop down and then capture them. I will always climb to the top of whever that is very high and then use the bird of prey method of capturing rebels.
First of all for both hunter and rebel - all spawn point is fix at the start of the game for both side so if hunter remember it they can run straight up to you while rebel have to check the map for hunter behavior if they run to your way you need to have a plan B to avoid it - all maps have 6 repair stations, if you only repair a nearby one-by-one, in late game it'll make hunter camp at the remaining stations easier, please avoid this except your team play a 4D chess on hunter - 2 Anemo characters in game still have stamina and speed boost effect for both hunter and rebel but this may benefit hunter more so please avoid this - for rebel, try to spread out and repair an opposite station as much as possible this can cause hunter to run around someone said this windtrace version benefit hunter more than rebel but I think it's quite balance because rebel side have to play in cooperate to win the game(while previous hide&seek is just an individual skill or use some glich to hide) while hunter didn't change much from the previous version
I played a lot, probably equivalent to get 200k coins and didn't lose any match as the hunter, got a lot of under 30s and 2x got 14s getting everyone in the spawn... This is balanced? absolutely not lol
The problem with this is that 'if rebels all work together'. They won't. 9 times out of 10 they won't, and there's no way to communicate to make it happen. Even if you duo queue with 2 rebels, if the third throws you'll probably lose. A team of three friends who can communicate outside of the game will do well, but there's no good way to communicate in-game. Hunters run faster and can have infinite stamina, their favors are stronger than rebel favors by far. Maps are excessively small, which makes sense when you're hiding but makes it horrible when you're running or trying to fix gens, gens alarm and rebels can't fight back against the hunter, while the hunter has a whole aoe instant capture button - unlike most which need to down a survivor and physically drag them to the capture point - and not only is there an excessively short timer, but if the timer ends the rebels lose. This is crazy when you can't fight back and can only hide.
usally i chose short character and the green or mybe brown clothing to blend with terreaint i.m rarely switch to an object and also dont forget unequip pet bcs that thing is making you visible
In some maps, the fixie things are just too close together. I once played at the winery, and the hunter just stood there between the three machines. I repaired the machines on the back, but couldn't even get close to the last one, let alone finish the repairs within the time limit. Yeah both my teammates got caught, nothing left to do.
Split out and form a triangle. The hunter will be force to run for one while the other repair as much they can and run when the hunter is going straight for them while the other two loop in and out of the somewhat repaired machine.
@@Aibadenshias a hunter, i was doing that once (watching over the three machines) and one or two were partially done, and the rebels did the triangle thing to keep me running back and forth, and it worked. Although, i still think the closeness of the machines is unfair. And the unlimited hunter stamina.
once when i was rebel at dawn winery i ran between three machines around the bottom of the map and annoyed the fuck out of the hunter 😂😂😂 my teammate did the same thing but around the top of the map, both of us didn’t get caught once in the entire game and each fixed two machines alone 😂😂😂
I played as Sayu for rebels and it was very funny. You can hide behind anything really and it's canon too. She's a ninja after all. Maybe she runs a bit slower than taller characters, but you don't need to run as much as a rebel.
I use Venti and Diluc when I'm a rebel. And I don't know. Hunters literally passes them by?...🤣😂 I use Scara, Lynette and Layla when I'm the Hunter...Scara for the terrifying effect. Lynette and Layla for sneaking around...😆
This event is like identity V or dead by daylight but the hunter are OP, not only we have to hide and dont get caught, this time we have to fix the machines when the time run out also.
If ur a hunter always try and remember how many groups of objects u can disguise as in the game example: 3 barrels and if u see another 1/2 theres a rebel and also some rebels don't mind their placing sometimes if u see a vhox going through a wall its a rebel ❤
lol, yesterday i played with my friend and tbh we keep winning. i used dori meanwhile my friend was using qiqi. it was fun and stuffs, but u do really need to see the hunter carefully on the map and keep track of stamina + time
Playing this windtrace in multiplayer is the most fun I've had in Genshin in a real long time. I hope they add more multiplayer modes like this. Sadly asking for anything permanent is copium tho.
In the hilichurl towers map, towers work well for the rebels too. Just climb one and start repairing. If a hunter gets close, you can glide away over walls, making it hard to track and follow you.
Phone players will have the worst time with me as the hunter who uses a super advanced PC with a pure gamers graphics card. And i will climb to high places with my small lolis and i will use the temple in liyue and mansion in dawn winery as an observation tower to look at where the rebels are going. I usually already see them before they even get to the devices. And then I attack from above.
And every time I used a tiny character, I'm invicible😂. I love bringing qiqi or klee. But nah, I'm a really bad hunter. the next time I became hunter, I just pretend that I'm searching for them and random caught them by luck lol. I still love windtrace even they keep adding different mechanisms every rerun.
I'll be honest. This version of Windtrace is...not all that fun to me. Before you break out the torches and pitchforks? Hear me out. This new version is heavily in the hunter's favor. Unlimited stamina, more ability customization, and the rebels have to assemble four generators to achieve victory. While the hunter can either run down the clock or they can finish quick by capturing all rebels. I usually get stuck with people who just wanna hide. Or they get caught immediately. So victory as a rebel is nearly impossible. So maybe the mechanics need tweaking to make it more fair for both sides.

I find it funny that windtrace is still a limited event despite all the love it gets, meanwhile GI TCG is permanent and so many people hate it (I say this as a GI TCG lover, by the way)
Honestly, I just let people win when I am a Hunter. It is just me being lazy. I do feel it lost the hide and seek part. Mainly because hiding is minimal due to the needed objective.
Genshin impact's version of dead by daylight. I like the original version it was fun. Why copy dead by daylight their gameplay is like seriously boring so I don't know why they've decided to copy it for this. It's like they just copy what's popular

the problem with small characters is that their speed and sprint are slightly slower than taller characters
But they compensate for that by being easier to hide. Whether it's a good tradeoff depends on your strategy, I guess.

most people usually see things horizontally. So, yeah it's very genius to climb and see from the top.
I used my Sayu as a hunter and rebel. It's so fun to hunt and to be chased as Sayu
I usually used Sayu because she just blends into the background so well.

hiding up there in the liyue map isnt a really good idea since if the hunter spams a skill down there you can get caught
