Agreed, you can literally see her complaining...some people have no morals at all. I would ASK the judge to give me life without parole. I would not need a lawyer. There is no defence for such an act. Why should i get to live any kind of life after doing something so horrible. I don't think i could live with myself if i did something like this.

The first words out of her mouth on her very first call were: "I am so sorry!" These are remorseful words, after which she was instructed to not bring the case up again while on the jail phone line because it was being recorded and was open to the public. So, you actually have no idea of her degree of remorse. It sounded at the court hearing as if she was extremely remorseful.

"No regret, no cares in the world"? Seriously? If you killed a bride on her wedding day because you were stupid enough to get behind the wheel of a car while intoxicated, do you honestly think you would feel "no regret" and have "no care in the world"while sitting in jail facing a lengthy prison term? I doubt it. I think your comment doesn't make any sense. Jamie sounds extremely upset on those jail calls so I would say she had tremendous regret and the weight of the weight of the world on her shoulders as any human being in her shoes would be.

so you think it’s OK for people to choose a drunk and drive and kill other people. Let me give you a little lesson. At nine years old I witnessed my 11-year-old brother getting killed by a drunk driver. I can never get that image out of my mind. my mother and father had to bury my 11-year-old brother. I will never get that image out of my mind. My family has never been the same since. And that was over 50 years ago. My dad has died since then, but my mother is still alive. And in her late 80s she still cries herself to sleep every night. And if that wasn’t enough seven years ago, my sisters daughter was killed by a drunk driver, and she had a bury her daughter. so I suggest to you before you make any comments about something you don’t know. Maybe you should do some research. Or put yourself on other people’s shoes. How would you feel if your child was killed by drunk driver? There is no excuse for drinking and driving. It is not a mistake. It is a choice. If you choose gotten drink, you get a Uber or a taxi. To me, she deserves life in prison for killing an innocent woman.

And was seen drinking around our town at bars which caused a big stir in this small town..

There are people who get a lot more for doing a lot less. 25 years is literally the standard for driving drunk, which would result in death. In the end the psychological damage placed upon the family has already been done. What was supposed to be a night of celebration, love and support for the union of two people ended up a nightmare which destroyed the lives of two families, most of all the groom. I don’t even know how someone can be able to continue with faith after that. Here’s hoping that one day he along with the rest his family and his late wife’s family find peace.

The judge didn't not smoke her. She ran all the counts concurrently. That means all those times start at same time. Yes she gave her the max on the death part but all those other charges times all start together.
Judge was very soft. Then gave her jail credit for sitting in her house...
Soft judge all the way around.

No, it was 25 years. Then time served credited so closer to 24. And then apparently she has 80% before she's eligible for parole, but I'm not completely sure about that part. But it won't be more than 25.

Hey dumb ass! This was NOT an accident! She chose to drink and drive. She chose to drive completely impaired! her alcohol level was three times over the speed limit! That is not an accident! She chose to drive under the influence of three times the alcohol limit. She killed a person because of it. This is not an accident. You are extremely delusional and extremely insulting to those of us who’ve had to live through this. When I was nine years old, I witnessed my 11-year-old brother being killed by drunk driver. I had to watch my parents bury their 11-year-old child. And it wasn’t an accident. The person chose to drink and drive. also my sister’s daughter was killed by a drunk driver. She hasn’t slept in seven years since it has happened. I can’t believe you’re defending someone who chose to drink and drive and kill someone because of it. Drinking and pears your ability to drive especially when it’s three times over the limit! How do you feel if your child was killed by drunk driver? What do you think it was an accident? I don’t know you but by your statement sounds like you think it’s OK to drink and drive. It’s not OK to drink and drive. Especially these days when you can get an Uber or taxi or anything else. My adult sons have never drank and drive because of what happened to my brother and my niece. I tell them all the time that it’s so simple to get into an Uber or taxi. And they do. Before you make any other insulting comments, please put yourself in other people’s shoes. And please don’t drink and drive. I don’t want my grandchildren to be killed by you.
