Brogan is such an articulate and incredible guy. His parents are wonderful people as is his Grandmother and Uncle. I’m so sorry for the pain, agony and horror this family has endured, 😢💔
@@taylorbrown8329 How can she look at them and not be crying after what she did? It seems like she does not care about them at all and only is thinking about herself. Her lawyers look sadder than she does.
@@taylorbrown8329There are multiple ways to interpret the defendant’s body language. Personally I agree with you; I think it’s more respectful and courageous to give eye contact
who gave jamie so much effing xanax? she should be bawling and sobbing and begging for mercy from this family she’s completely destroyed because she wanted a fun night out that wasn’t going to happen in the first place
She doesn't need Xanax, she doesn't care at all, her jail phone calls showed exactly what she thinks. I wish she would have gotten double the sentence just for the phone calls alone.
@ I don’t know. this is gonna sound mean, and I don’t want her family to suffer even more for her stupid mistakes that none of them expected. in fact, you might have a kid who does this. no one expects it. but when you go to a bar and have a shot by yourself, you’ve already sort of given up
Sorry Brogan Garrett n all yr family of what u went through. It’s so difficult to express in words the deep sadness that yr family has been through. Praying for yr family.
She was granted bail! In my opinion, the judge could have set the bond so high that her family wouldn't be able to pay it. $150,000 is pocket change for the parents of a spoiled child like her! If she was truly a good person as she claims, she would not get into a car, drive 3x over the limit, knowing full well her bar hopping and her tequila shots could end lives; and it did! Both the judge and the young woman should feel ashamed. She should have been charged with 2nd murder, not vehicular manslaughter!
I have been dreading the upcoming holiday season where I know some of my family members will be drinking and then choose to drive. Although I always try to stop them, this year I will not back down. I will probably make myself the most unpopular person there but this tragedy has given me the strength to fight to ensure another family is not destroyed like this one.
I have the deepest compassion and empathy for this young man and his family. It’s incredibly heartbreaking they have to endure this loss. It’s impossible to understand what is going through her mind. She made a conscious choice to begin drinking and with her choice alone, has destroyed the lives of many people. Personally, I couldn’t live knowing that I had taken the life or injured another human beings. It was not only senseless, it was 100% preventable.
Impact statements are so important to be read in court as the loss of life is so large and impacts countless people. It's important that friends, family, loves ones have the opportunity to tell the person who committed the crime how their lives will never be the same. It it a sudden end to all of the dreams, plans and special relationships that mean so much to so many. I can't even begin to know how these people get through each day with such immense pain in their hearts, there are no peaceful moments, just horrendous pain. What makes things worse is that this woman's death did not need to happen, it was preventable. If only Jamie Komoroski had taken responsibility for her own alcohol consumption and made a different decision about driving that night, she had other options. Their are always other options. My deepest condolences to all.
I hope this young woman spends every single second of her life remembering the life she took by her selfish act to drink and drive ,I was raised with an older brother (now deceased )who ruined everything he touched,a few years before he passed he had become clean and sober ,i hoe she gets the help she needs ,but this family will never be the same .
I heart breaks over and over as I listen to the impact statements being made. It appears to me that the girl who caused all of this is under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol in this video. She can't keep her eyes open. It's difficult to have any empathy for her when you listen to her jailhouse phone calls where she actually thinks that it's unfair that this happened to her. "Why me?" Seriously??
@@bichonbuffo In the way of never driving drunk and destroying lives yes I am 100% perfect. This was no “mistake “ or “accident “. Maybe by the time she gets out she will have a shred of regret but I doubt it!
In every video i have watched of this trial i have not seen her shed one tear and in the videos of her talking to her family from jail she acts like she is the victim.

Her foolishness just caught up with her and dozens of lives are severely effected
Praying for God's strength arms and peace be with you young man. I don't understand why families have to go through this. To me it should not have to be on the family . She murdered that girl so she should be in jail for life. I am so sorry. I pray people will learn from this. I blame the people that allow her to get in the golf cart and drive off . Those defense attorneys are insulting him by acting like they’re not listening, just almost rolling their eyes, but they know the camera is looking disrespectful and the murderous girl there she looks like she’s about to go to sleep
This drunken girl that hit this family. She had no tears while this young man was crying It was hard for me to hold back tears. She is sad only because she was caught and charged and knowing how many years she will spend and she will not get anymore ALCOHOL She should get 50 years then maybe get paroled. I have no pity as you can see for this girl. She has ruined this family forever. They could never be a normal family again.
Why is alcohol legal? Most people that drink abuse it in place of psychotropic medications. Most people lie about how much they drink. If you need to drink alcohol, you have a psych problem of one degree or another. Go to a psychiatrist or a psychologist or both. There is no reason to drink alcohol. Everyone that does, is using it to deal with emotions.
There are few people in this world who drive a car who have not got in it after a drink or drugs, or went over the driving speed, this is just a sad and unfortunate accident and I am finding it difficult that this family seems to be still stuck 18months after the accident, however, with the therapy they will move on. Grip on tight kids, this is what life can throw at you and you have to get used to the blows and still survive, hopefully thrive. God bless you all, bride, groom, family and young driver, hard lessons all round.
