Mr. Thompson -> Putting a sentence together and showing a demonstrable use of your equation is excellent and I wish my math teachers many years ago would have used this technique for algebraic equations etc. Thank You very much .
My kid’s math workbook has a really complicated way of solving percentage problems using “a number is a percent of another number” - what a bunch of baloney! Your explanation is so much less complicated. The “is over of” is the best! Thank you for your vid and thanks for sharing your knowledge. 😀

thats terrible cause you're in college, sadly schools can really suck. im trying to self educate from GRADE 1 math's because I've had the worst math education in schools. You really have to TEACH yourself with TH-cam, cause instructors IN REAL life don't care about students. good luck buddy

i could help you %/100=is/of means num=is part of that Total and Denom =is the Total i.e., 85 refers to 17 and 100 refers to x(85/100=17/x)
