blog.discmakers.com/2016/11/eric-clapton-gibson-335-guitar/ I have seen him quite a few times and have NEVER seen this guitar He used it on another song and it had a shattering reverb sound. I assume he clicked on AN effect pedal ?? Anybody who was there want to add to this comment as I am not a musician...however I do play the hell out of my radio. blog.discmakers.com/2016/11/eric-clapton-gibson-335-guitar/
Is that a 350 or a 335? It's beautiful either way and looked vintage to me. They did have some pedals. There's probably a gear list online somewhere that says what was used.
It was a 335. I was at this show last night. He doesn’t have much in his signal chain so you really hear much his playing unprocessed, a couple pedals like wah and verb sure. But to me what made it so cool was the tone. That semi hollow with the PAF style pups and a tweed with slowhand at the helm.. priceless 😎
@@amhummer99I will look at my snippets and report back on the other song he used this guitar on and post it as well for discussion. Im sure that you musicians can appreciate such a discussion
My group was there in floor seats and must not have been too far behind where this video was shot. My first time seeing him, but it was really good. So was Jimmy Vaughn. I was a bit disappointed they didn't do some Cream songs.
played Crossroads and got in the JJ Cale grove as well as Robert Johnson too. Maybe too much blues for the casual fan but forus in the EC IS GOD crew...just another day in paradise!!!
@@clubdoc It was a good mix. I'm curious how the snippet of Whiter Shade of Pale fit in, but it sounded like it was meant to fit in. Edit- Gary Brooker, the singer-songwriter from Procol Harem passed away last year so WSOP was a tribute to him.
You're welcome! Were you there? TAKEN WITH MY iPHONE!!! I forgot my memory card in my laptop from uploading Sting last week. Grrrr. Im pretty sure this is my last time seeing EC. I almost missed the show due to budget constraints but my buddy Roy got 2 free floors and I saw TM had a late drop of tix that didnt sell in 9th row. Not my normal style…but, as they say “the rest is history”
@@clubdoc Couldn't afford this one, Kev, and I'm still recouping from injuries, but I won some free tix to the upcoming Eagles concert at PPG (probably in the rafters), so that will be my next major show. Oh, I did get tix to see Andy Summers in October. Not the same as Sting, but I'm excited anyhow.
I never thought Eric would go.political...but he is going to do a fundraiser for RFK Jr. On September 18th don't know where...I wish he wouldn't do that....for he is making a stand..on something he is not understanding 😢😢😢
First time I've seen Eric play this song with a ES350.

@@amhummer99 Do you think it was vintage? It looked it to me. Aged to perfection.

I’m so pleased guys that have given me musical enjoyment for over half a century, still schedule live performances. 👍❤️
With his physical ailments related to dexterity, we all need to count our blessings.
It was a great show and was glad to be able to see this great legend!
Eric looks great. Nice to see he rebounded from being so ill.
