How in the world can he still sing like that!?. That’s what I’m most amazed about with Eric. And pulling out the 335 again is just wonderful to see! ❤️ The band is just great too!
I would've absolutely blew my top if I had seen him pull that 335 out! I couldn't click on this video fast enough! Since next year is the 30th Anniversary of From The Cradle (is that not insane to think???) I'm hoping he'll play some slow blues on it. That would be so awesome.
Going way, way back to 1990 to the Knebworth performance of this one, you'll see Nathan East(!) holding down the bottom, while the rest of Clapton's band simply kick ass on a huge stage in front of a gigantic crowd. The pink suited Eric playing his Fender Signature Strat is something to behold. Awesome tone blowing thru those double half stacks of Soldano 100 watt amps. And thanks to youtube, you can see and hear for yourself why he is a living legend. Long Live Eric~!!!
It was a sight. When Eric came on the wind pick up and I think Eric was so into it he broke a string durning Before You Accuse Me and had Phil Palmer played the last solo. Also about the wind it had the sound buzz during Old Love. Yes I was at that show
Dude Clapton on a 335 is the absolute holy grail of all guitar tone to my ears. I saw him a couple of years ago from 14 rows back and I was absolutely dying for him to pull out his 335 for just one song. So awesome to see him back using it. His tone during the From The Cradle era is just other worldly.
I always wished Eric would have played a show with just Derek and the Dominoes and 80s, early 1990s stuff. Forget Layla, I Shot the Sheriff, etc. That stuff is overplayed and not Eric's best stuff.

His vocals are amazing!!
Love ya Eric! couldn't afford the ticket but I'm happy for those that could.

Nathan East on bass has his own band with Bob James and Lee Rittenour
Didn’t he retire once already? I see he has a new sideman and band for this tour…

Saw him in Denver last Saturday. It was great but not the setlist I would have created for him. 😊
@@daviddemaria3982 If I planned the setlist true Clapton fans would be talking about the concert for years.
